Chapter 89: Emily's Confession

ONE WEEK WENT BY

Joshua was starting to stir. He was no longer being intubated. He was breathing on his own. His vitals and symptoms have much improved.

“I’m happy to say that he survived such a severe case of misfortune,” said the attending doctor.

“Thank you. Then you so much for helping him,” said Vicky.

“You’re welcome.” The attending doctor was smiling at Vicky. “Once he’s awake we will run his cognitive and see if he have any memory is or have any memory lost.”

Vicky nodded her head at the attendant, and he left.

Emily sat in the opposite direction of Joshua, and she was rubbing her fingertips on his arms. “Joshua, please wake up soon,” she whispers.

Vicky thought, “Maybe it’s about time I nudge a bit.” She cleared her throat and grabbed Joshua’s arm from Emily.

Emily frowned as to why did she do that all of a sudden. She was still trying to stay close to Joshua.

“You should go now. Your fiancé is probably waiting for you,” said Vicky, without looking at Emily.
