Gemma was welcomed into the orphanage that night. The kids who knew her familiar face surrounded her. For a moment, she forgot about her current predicament and got lost in the joy the new environment brought.

“You got married, Gemma. I saw it on the news!” One of the little kids said excitedly.

Gemma was once again reminded of Derek. She became gloomy but tried her best to hide her sadness.

“Yes, I'm married now,” she smiled down at the little girl.

“Where is your husband, you didn't bring him!” the girl looked around as if she was searching for someone.

“He is busy with work,” Gemma lied.

“Let Gemma rest, you can talk and ask all your questions tomorrow,” the old lady in charge of the orphanage approached them.

“You all should be in bed now, it's past 8pm.”

At her words, the kids grumbled and got off Gemma’s body.

“Call your husband and ask him to come. We want to see him!” one of the kids yelled.
