“What are you still doing in bed, Gemma. Have you forgotten today is your wedding day?” Elena’s loud voice woke Gemma from her sleep.

She opened her eyes to find herself in her room.

“I'm supposed to be at the hospital, I'm supposed to be dead,” she could only mumble and look around her, unable to understand what was going on.

“I wonder if the fact that you're getting married to Daniel has altered your brain chemistry, sister,” Elena stared at her, not making any attempt to hide her irritation.

Gemma reached for the mirror on her desk and stared at her reflection.

“This wasn't the hairstyle I had on yesterday,” she noted.

Unless her hairstyle had been changed in her sleep, but by who?

The more she stared at herself, she realized she had seen that hair style before, it was from two years ago, when she had long hair, before her mum made her cut it to match Elena's who didn't like the fact that Gemma’s hair was longer than hers.

“Mother wants you downstairs in five minutes. The stylist and makeup artist are here,” Elena announced, and headed for the door.

“What's today’s date, Elena?” Gemma asked right before she could walk out.

“Are you trying to throw the fact that you're getting married on my face? It's your wedding day, I mean you chose the date yourself,” Elena rolled her eyes before shutting the door.

“My wedding day?” Gemma could only mumble.

Picking up her phone, she checked the date, Alas, it really was her wedding day.

“What is going on? Did I go back in time or something?” She could definitely remember fighting for her life just a few minutes ago.

Rising from the bed, she walked out of the room.

“If today is really my wedding, James will slap me for running into him,” she muttered to herself.

Lifting her face, she could see James storming right towards her. In the past, she had been so carried away by the excitement of her wedding that she bumped into him. But this time, she wasn’t going to make the same mistake.

She walked right past him.

The moment she walked past without bumping into him or getting slapped. She knew this was indeed her second chance. She could dodge all her misfortunes just like she dodged James and she definitely will get back at every single one of them.

“Why aren't you with the makeup artist yet?” Gemma muttered, standing in the hallway with a bored look and just like she predicted, Sylvia walked right in.

“Why aren't you with the artist yet?” She asked.

In the past, it was because she was nursing her cheeks due the pain from James’ slap.

“I'll go there now,” she said, deliberately leaving out calling her mother.

Gemma sat like a docile puppy while her make up was being done. She wondered how she was going to ruin this day in style. She went ahead with every single wedding preparation like she did in the past.

Like she expected, Daniel was nowhere to be seen, but she knew exactly where he was. She hadn't regarded it as anything when she found him and Elena walking out of the storage room with his zipper undone before. But now, she understood it all and could only feel disgusted.

Instead of waiting to run into them, she stopped right in front of the room with a bored look on her face.

“What are you doing here, dear sister?” Elena chirped, walking out of the storage room with Daniel right behind her. And just like Gemma remembered, his zipper was undone.

“Just waiting for you two to finish up.” She patted Elena’s back, gave Daniel an overly sweet smile, then walked off.

“What a gullible fool,” Elena muttered staring at Gemma’s retreating figure.

Once everything was set, they all set out to the church.

The wedding went normally like every other wedding, Daniel standing in the altar and Max leading Gemma to him. When the time for the wedding vow came, Gemma knew this was the moment she had been waiting for all morning.

“Daniel Robert, do you take Gemma Braun as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?” the priest asked the long awaited question.

“I do,” Daniel answered, smiling sweetly, but deep down he prayed for this to be done quickly as Elena had promised to make the night a memorable one for him.

Gemma returned his smile with another overly sweet smile, staring at him like her heart was filled with nothing but love for him. The priest threw the same question at her.

Gemma snickered.

Grabbing her veil, she pulled it off. Gasps filled the church.

“What are you doing?” Daniel asked in shock.

“What does it look like I'm doing?” Gemma rolled her eyes at him.

Spreading the veil on the floor, Gemma stepped right on it as she walked off the altar.

“What the heck is wrong with you?” A startled Daniel asked, grabbing her hand.

Gemma sighed, bored and walked right up to the priest.

“Excuse me,” she took the mic from him.

”I thought getting married would be fun, but it's boring. This wedding is called off. I'm going home,” she dropped the mic and walked right off, gasps filled the air.

Elena, despite her shock, couldn't let go of a moment to humiliate her sister. She sprang off her seat and blocked Gemma’s path.

“Sister, are you calling off your wedding because you're maybe having an affair?” Elena asked, she wasn't going to let this chance go to waste.

Gemma almost pushed her off, but then she sighted him, Derek Ferguson, the richest man in all of Atlanta and beyond. Her family was rich, but what they have was nothing compared to what this man has.

Then she remembered hearing her mum tell Elena to seize this opportunity to get close to him today.

“She must have invited him to push Elena to him,” Realization dawned on her.

“You're right sister, I'm seeing someone else now and he is right here in this room with us,” Gemma announced.

Elena was shocked, this wasn't the reaction she expected.

Nonetheless, since Gemma was openingly admitting to it, she wouldn't let it go. She was even curious to know the rat Gemma had fallen for this time.

“Oh, poor Daniel,” Elena sighed dramatically.

“Who is the lucky guy, or should I say unlucky guy you called off your wedding for?” Elena asked, she was definitely enjoying this. The shameful looks everyone was giving Gemma excited her. She and Gemma might be sisters but she has never considered her one and only saw her as a competitor.

“Him,” Gemma pointed at Derek Fegurson

“Wha…what?’ Elena stuttered, she wasn't the only one that was shocked, everyone was.

“There is no way Gemma knows Derek, she is just bluffing,” Elena told herself.

“If so, why not bring him out here, I'm sure everyone would love to hear his take on this….”

“Of course,” Gemma cut her off.

Taking a step at a time she headed to Derek’s seat.
