Liam's POV

There isn't anything I hate more than having the ones I love in danger. The weight of responsibility sat heavily on my shoulders as I stepped into the house. The moment I arrived home, I didn't waste a second. I hurried toward Aunt Emilia's room, my heart pounding with urgency. We needed to have a serious discussion before Daisy appeared.

I knocked at the door, inhaling deeply as I waited.

"Who is it?" Aunt Emilia's voice came from the other side, cautious yet familiar.

"Liam," I answered firmly.

The door swung open almost instantly. "Come in," she said, stepping aside. Her eyes studied me, and I could tell she already sensed that something was wrong.

I stepped inside, making sure to close the door tightly before speaking. The room smelled faintly of lavender, the curtains drawn to shield against the late afternoon sun. Aunt Emilia sat on the edge of her bed, her expression neutral but her fingers fidgeting slightly.

"How are you, Aunt?" I asked, scanning her face, taking i

Daisy's POV "So you trust your boyfriend? Why don't you pay him a visit at Turner Mansion?"That was all the message said. And like a moth drawn to a flame, I found myself speeding toward Turner Mansion.I had tried calling the strange number repeatedly—each attempt ending in silence. As I stood before the gates, part of me wanted to turn back, dismissing it as a cruel prank. But another part of me wondered—what if?What if stepping into that mansion meant discovering the truth? Was I even ready for it?The only way to put my mind at peace was to face it head-on, regardless of the pain it might bring. As I neared the entrance, I noticed Trey's car parked outside."When did they get so close to the point where they visit each other without telling me?" I thought out loud.I decided to call him, hoping to hear the truth from him before making any assumptions. The call rang twice before he picked up."Hey, babe," he whispered.I frowned. "Hey. Why are you whispering? Are you okay?" My v

Daisy’s POVI woke up to golden sunlight streaming through my window, the chirping of birds a cruel contrast to the storm raging inside me. My eyes were swollen from crying—a reminder of last night’s betrayal. I dragged myself out of bed, forcing my legs to carry me to the shower. All I wanted to do was scrub away the setbacks.First, it was Mom. Then Dad. And now Trey. The hot water did little to wash away the ache in my chest, but it helped me pull myself together.I looked at my reflection in the mirror, still feeling hopeless. What could I do? Go against the great and powerful Anna and her little pet, Trey? I was wounded, and unlike Anna, I had no money to fight back.Still wrapped in a white towel, my phone buzzed on the nightstand. I glanced at it briefly—Nanny Divine. Again. I rolled my eyes and flipped the phone over, ignoring the call. But the buzzing didn’t stop.Without thinking, I picked it up. "Nanny Divine, I thought I made myself—"“Hello, Miss Daisy,” her voice came th

Liam's POV I still couldn’t believe how reckless people were in New York. If I hadn’t been there, that old woman could have been seriously hurt—or even worse.“Where to, boss?” my driver asked as I got into the car.“Magic Hour at Moxy Times Square,” I said, loosening my tie. I had some unfinished business to take care of tonight. As we drove through the busy city, I looked out the window. It had been years since I was last in New York. The tall buildings, flashing signs, and crowded streets all felt familiar, yet I sensed that tonight was different. Something told me I might stay here a while. When we arrived, I stepped into the lounge. The sweet smell of fresh flowers mixed with a light scent of vanilla filled the air. The place was just as I remembered—soft velvet sofas, warm golden lights, and large green plants hanging from the ceiling. It felt expensive and cozy at the same time. The moment I entered, my guards spotted me. They quickly walked me to our private table.“What woul

Daisy’s POV “Where am I?” I asked, my voice trembling as I looked around the strange room. The walls were soft gray, and the bedspread was a gentle pastel. I blinked slowly, trying to clear the fog in my mind.“What happened to me?” I whispered aloud, trying to remember. I recalled being at Moxy, laughing with friends and drinking with abandon. Then suddenly, everything went dark. I remembered feeling dizzy, men closing in, and a loud commotion—a fight. My memories came in broken pieces, like a puzzle with too many missing parts. But one part was clear: there was a guy, and then the door opened in a flash, catching me off guard.I sat up slowly and squinted at the door. “You…” I said, pointing at the man who had entered just a moment ago.He walked in gently. He wore nothing but a towel around his waist, and water dripped from his chiseled abs. His skin was smooth, and his grey eyes shone with an intensity that made me feel both shy and safe. I closed my eyes briefly at the sight and

Daisy’s POVWith my documents in hand, I rushed back home to see Liam. We were done with one part of this strange marriage, and now it was time for the second: the contract. I already had it typed and printed; all that remained was our signatures.“Here we go,” I said as I handed the document to him.He looked at it, then at me. “No falling in love, no kissing, no sex—and we have to live in your home,” he said with a teasing grin as he signed. “I’m pretty sure I can keep my hands to myself, though I’m not sure about you.” He then handed the paper back to me, and I signed too.“Don’t flatter yourself. You’re not my type,” I snapped, handing him a copy. “And yes, I don’t want people suspecting this is fake. I like to interfere in my own affairs.” I paused, then added, “There are many rooms upstairs. Just choose any you like.”---It had been a week since I visited Mr. Samuel, and my inheritance was finally mine. I had secretly organized a board meeting scheduled for today and even hande

Liam's POVLiam's Penthouse“What a day it has been, phew,” I sighed, sinking into the leather chair in my penthouse study. I set my phone on the table and bit my lower lip, still thinking about everything that had happened. With a tired swing, I spun the chair around and opened one of the drawers of my desk. There, I found a rare bottle of Dalmore 64 Trinitas—one of only three ever made.I grabbed a glass and poured myself some whiskey, admiring the deep amber liquid as it caught the light. I swirled the glass slowly before bringing it close to my nose, closing my eyes to enjoy the rich aroma of vanilla, caramel, and honey.Taking a sip, I let the warmth spread through me. I tried to focus on the taste, but my mind was racing with thoughts—plans, memories, and the past that never stopped haunting me.Just as I was starting to relax, my phone vibrated. I picked it up.“Hello, Aunty,” I answered cheerfully, hiding the tension in my voice.“How are you, son?” Aunt Emilia’s voice was gen

Daisy's POV"What on earth is going on here?" I screamed from the end of the office, rushing towards my husband.Liam was holding his jaw, and I could see it turning red from the punch he had just received."Babe, are you okay?" I asked, touching his face carefully, examining the bruise."I'm fine. Don't worry about it," he reassured me, wrapping one hand around my waist, his eyes locked onto mine. His gaze was deep, steady, and unreadable. Before I could say anything else, someone cleared their throat loudly, forcing us to break eye contact. I turned around and saw the entire office gathered, watching the scene unfold like it was some kind of drama series."I guess you don't get paid for standing around, do you? Get lost immediately, or you'll be fired!" I snapped with confidence. At my words, the employees quickly scattered, rushing back to their desks. The only people left were Liam, Trey, and Anna, who had just arrived from the other corner of the hallway."One day here, and your

I had been fooled before by the man I thought was my greatest love. Keeping my guard up is the only way I can stay safe. After awhile on the call, Liam turned to face me. I could see he knew I needed an explanation. He muted his phone and said, “It’s for my mom’s surprise birthday coming up.” He paused as if choosing his words carefully, then added, “I wanted to do something special for her.”I nodded slowly. “Aww, that’s so cute. You can go ahead, I don't want to disturb you” I said with a small smile. Then, I turned and helped Francois sort out the suits we had selected for Liam earlier that day. After a few minutes on the phone, Francois left, and soon Liam followed him out of the room. “I have some errands to run real quick. I’ll be back as soon as possible,” he said, giving me a quick wink before

Liam's POVMy aunt is right. I've become too complacent. I don't understand what the hell is going on with me. Why do I think of nothing but Daisy? I need to get my act together. Immediately after I was done with the discussion I had with my aunt, I moved toward the stairs. As I reached them, I noticed the lights of the living room were on. I frowned, glancing at my watch. Who could be there at this time of night?Slowly, I made my way to the living room. My eyes fell on Daisy, who had just finished a glass of wine. She sat there, lost in thought, swirling the empty glass in her hand.I wanted to talk to her, keep her company, but I knew that would only make things complicated. I turned to head upstairs."Liam, come, let's have a drink," Daisy called from behind. Her voice was calm, almost inviting.I hesitated."Come on," she insisted, opening and closing her fingers in a beckoning motion.I immediately frowned, turning to face her. "Go to bed," I said coldly.I caught a glimpse of D

  • Dear Ex, I Want Your Brother    Chapter 27: It Must Come To An End

Aunt Emilia's POVI can’t believe this little girl. The nerve she has to rub her skin on me like I’m her mother. The thought alone makes my blood boil. I just wish I could land a good slap on her face to put her in her place. As soon as I got to my room, I let out a frustrated sigh. This place suffocates me, but I have to endure it for now. I must complete my plan as soon as possible and leave this godforsaken house.I walked around the room, checking every single item. Everything here screamed wealth. The furniture was polished to perfection, and the scent of fresh lavender was in the air. Even the sheets on the bed felt softer than anything I’d ever slept on before. But none of this mattered to me. I wasn’t here to admire the luxury. I was here for one thing only—revenge. As I was inspecting a small drawer, my phone suddenly buzzed, snapping me out of my thoughts. I frowned and pulled it out of my pocket. It was him. That bastard, Mateo.I scowled and put the phone on silent. I wasn

Liam’s POVI almost got caught the other day. If I had been just a second slower, Daisy would have seen me, and everything would have been ruined.I exhaled deeply, still remembering the way my heart had pounded in my chest. I had barely slipped out in time, the pictures in my grasp. The risk was worth it, but I needed to be more careful. After my evening workout, my muscles ached, but the burn felt good. Sweat dripped down my face as I reached for my towel, wiping it off. The house was unusually quiet, giving me a moment to think.Daisy should still be at work. She never came home early, and I planned my routine around that. But just as I grabbed my phone to check the time, I heard it—The sound of a car pulling into the driveway.I frowned, walking over to the window. Peeking through the curtains, my suspicions were confirmed.Daisy was home. Why is she back so early?I muttered under my breath, quickly grabbing my things and heading upstairs before she could catch me in this state.

Hazel’s POVThe past few days have been nothing short of a nightmare. My real boss—no, my real nightmare—was growing impatient with me. She had given me one job: gather information on Daisy. But Daisy was no fool. She had been getting suspicious lately, and to make things worse, she had even changed the locks on her office door.I sat at my desk, pretending to focus on my work, but my mind was elsewhere. My fingers hovered over the keyboard, typing the necessary data that Daisy needed. Every now and then, my eyes flickered toward her office, waiting for any opportunity to sneak in.Suddenly, the door to her office swung open, and Daisy stepped out, holding nothing but her phone. My heart pounded.“I’ll be back soon,” she said without looking at me.Then she walked out.I watched her leave, my body screaming at me to take this chance. I could gather as much information as I needed, but what if she returned too soon? What if someone else saw me?I clenched my fists, torn between my miss

Daisy’s POVI walked down the stairs, surprised to see Liam standing by the door, holding a small parcel in his hands. His brows were furrowed as if he was deep in thought.“What do you think you’re doing?” I asked from behind him, my voice playful.Liam flinched, almost dropping the package. The way his shoulders tensed and how he swallowed nervously only made me burst into laughter. His reaction was priceless. I was so glad I got him real good this time.“Umm… umm…” he stammered, struggling to find the right words.I shook my head, still laughing. “Relax, I’m just joking.”As expected, his mood shifted instantly. Liam had always been too serious—especially in the mornings. For someone to be this uptight so early in the day was beyond me.“A parcel came in for you just now,” he finally said, handing it over.I took it from him, curiosity buzzing inside me. Who could be sending me something? Without wasting another second, I hurriedly tore off the brown wrapping paper. What I found in

I could feel her stiffen in response, fury boiling beneath her skin. “It’s becoming a joke,” I added with a slight chuckle, but she wasn’t laughing.“You have some nerve, little girl.
