Are you okay?" Seth asked, his voice low and gentle as he turned to Sarah.

She nodded, though she still looked shaken by the press's questions. "I'm fine..." She replied, her voice barely stable. "I just wasn't expecting them to be here."

"This is one of the reason I asked you to stay away from the press and all, they can be very toxic when they set their mind on something. This is the world I live in, Sarah." Seth told her. "For now, let's focus on getting the kids settled in."

Sarah nodded in agreement, and they turned towards Tristan and Xenia, who had remained quiet throughout the ordeal.

The kids were standing side-by-side, their expressions uncertain. They had followed their father and Sarah into the villa, but their bodies seemed to be pulled towards their separate rooms.

"Do you need help unpacking?" Sarah offered, her voice uncertain.

Tristan shook his head, his eyes fixed on the floor. "No, thanks." He muttered, turning her offer down without meeting her gaze. "I can handle

It was mid-morning, and the sunlight streamed through the curtains into the living room of the presidential villa. Lila entered, her usually composed features marred by a deep frown."Good morning, Mr. President." Lila greeted, her tone somewhat cold.Seth, seated at his desk, glanced up from his paperwork. "Well, someone seems to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." He said, his words coated with wry humor.Lila huffed, unamused. "You know very well what's got me in a bad mood, Mr. President." Lila retorted, standing in front of his desk with her hands on her hips but Seth's expression did not change. "Where did you disappear to last night?"Seth's face hardened, and he set his pen down on the desk with a sharp click. "I was where I needed to be. That's not your business." His reply was plain yet sharp.Lila's frown deepened, and she leaned forward, planting her hands on the desk. "Oh, really? And where might that be, exactly? Running after your runaway wife?" He

"What do you mean ‘intentionally’, eh?"The guard straightened his shoulders. "She has left the station a couple of hours ago, someone had seen her flagged down a cab." He explained furthered, his stoic look still on, serving as the skin on face. "Whatever happened wasn't forced but self-will, it was confirmed."Seth was confused as he let out a strained sigh, not knowing what to say or do at the moment. "Did you get David's location as well?" He asked after a couple of seconds of silence."I sent it to you before coming in, sir." The guard replied almost immediately, avoiding an eye contact with Seth. And he was dismissed afterward with a wave of hand."Isn't David Sarah's ex-fiancè? The same guy who has been acting all insane on the net, putting us in such awkward situation as this?" Lila asked. We are in thus mess together, remember?"David wasn't convinced. "You must have nothing to lose to have this uploaded online." He said gruffly. "This might have been your place from the start.""Who cares whose plan it is?" Laura spouted, her voice in despair still. "What's more important is how to deal with what's on hand. So, I couldn't bring myself to letting you know."Seth’s expression was unreadable, as he processed her words. "Why?" He finally asked, his voice barely a whisper. "Why would you do that?""I..." Sarah trailed off, not knowing what else to say. "I'm sorry, Seth." She could only offer an apology."I’m sorry too." Seth said, his voice matching her somber tone. "I should have been more understanding, more patient with you." He reached for her hand, his fingers gently entwining with hers. "We both made mistakes. But I don’t want to keep making them."Sarah looked down at their joined hands, a small smile playing on her lips. "What do we do now?" She asked, her voice soft. "Where do we go from here? "And you are not leaving with my children."Seth’s eyes narrowed, a slight twitch in his jaw betraying the depth of his anger. "And who said your decision and opinion matters here?" It was a line drawn in the sand, a declaration of her independence.Seth’s laughter was quick, almost cutting her off, but it was a brittle sound that concealed a seething rage.
