Eduardo’s POV

“What should we have for breakfast?” Jocelyn asked, as I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her closer from behind.

“Sex,” I said without thinking.

Turning, she darted me a pointed look then sighed. “Who am I fooling? Same.”

Chuckling, I threw an arm around her midsection as my lips soughted hers in a torrid smooch. Our tongues battled for supremacy, a pointless fight that Jocelyn easily surrended to.

Desire spread through me like wildfire as I tasted Jocelyn's soft, velvety lips, completely lost in how sweet and addictive they were.

Throughout yesterday, Jocelyn and I hadn't done anything other than having sex and eating.

I was immensely glad that we had both taken that long-deserved leave.

As Jocelyn hooked her arm around my neck, an idea struck me and I withdrew from the kiss.

Jocelyn didn't seem excited in the slightest by my sudden action as her rosy lips puckered into a pout.

Planting a chaste kiss to her lips, I said. “Don't look so mad, baby. I want us to try s

The phone is ringing,” I said as Eduardo stood on the threshold of the bathroom, drying his hair with a towel.“Just a minute, baby,” He said before disappearing into the bathroom and appearing seconds later. As he plopped beside me on the bed, the line clicked and Henry and Nancy's faces became visible on the screen.“Hi, Jo,” Nancy waved, then nodded at Eduardo who returned the gesture. “Eduardo.”“Nancy, it's been a while.” Eduardo replied, to which Nancy hummed.“Hey, Nancy,” I replied then waved at Henry who had a wide grin plastered to his face. “Hi, my love.”“Hi, mummy and daddy,” Henry waved back. “I miss you.”“Aw, we miss you too, sweetie,” Eduardo replied. “Don't worry, you'll see us this afternoon. Don't forget that we are still going to Disneyland tomorrow.”Eduardo had planned to use his private jet to transport the three of us to and fro Paris, and I couldn't barely wait for tomorrow to come.I could already feel it in my veins that it'd

Eduardo’s POV Walking out of my villa, I slid my wallet into my pocket and felt it to make sure it was really there before proceeding on my way.I knew for sure that Jocelyn would have my head if I forgot something else again, thus, I had taken my identity card, my credit card and even my driver's license, even though we were both walking to the mall. However, on getting to the place where I had left Jocelyn, I didn't see her there. My brows furrowed in befuddlement as I walked further, inwardly wondering whether I had missed up the roads. But the huge oak tree that I had seen earlier around the place told me that I was at the right place. So where then was Jocelyn? If she was going elsewhere, she would have texted me a message to inform me but she hadn't.Grabbing my phone, I dialed her number and waited for her to answer. It was when she failed to pick up on the third ring that I remembered I saw her phone on the nightstand some minutes ago, when I went back to the villa.Heaving a

Jocelyn’s POV “Say something, babes,” Nancy feigned a concerned look as she crouched to look me in the eye. “Your silence makes me worry.”Looking from her to Damien and then back to her, I shook my head in negation. “This is a prank, right? Please tell me that I'm only overthinking things.”Straightening up, Nancy pouted. “I'm sorry to break it to you but this is your new reality, Josie. What to do now?”A billion thoughts raced through my mind as I observed the both of them, searching for a sign that this was a prank.“I refuse to believe it.” I retorted, my heart hammering against my chest.Muttering underneath her breath, Nancy yanked my hair, sending excruciating pain through my scalp and subsequently giving me a headache, before pressing my head to the hard metal of the chair.“Do you believe it now, bitch?” She spat, looking me in the eye.It felt like someone had gotten rid of the Nancy I used to know and had replaced her with an evil robot because this wasn't my best friend.

Eduardo’s POV Rubbing my palms together, I rang the doorbell to Nancy's apartment and waited for her to respond.A moment later, she opened the door. On seeing me, her eyes widened in surprise. “Hey, I've been calling Jocelyn for the past twenty four hours. Is she alright? Henry has been crying, thinking you left him to go to Disneyland. He just finished crying himself to sleep an hour ago. What happened?”Exhaling a huge sigh, I said. “It's a long story. May I come in?”“Yes please,” Nancy replied, moving away from the door to let me in. “Do pardon my manners, I'm just so worried about my best friend that I forgot to be polite.”“It's fine,” I said, standing at the center of the living room awkwardly. Two days had passed since Jocelyn went missing, and within that period, I had gotten roughly three hours of sleep because I mostly spent every second of the day doing one thing or the other to find her.I had even gotten in contact with my private investigator, Ramon Sanders, and so fa

Jocelyn’s POV “So what do you think of my proposal?” Sammy, one of the three thugs guarding the basement, asked as he dragged a chair in front of me and sat on it.Ignoring him, I faced the opposite direction, reminiscing on everything Nancy and Damien told me the other day. Most especially how Olivia was my daughter who I never knew I had in the first place. The thought of Olivia and Henry being in the enemy's den nearly ripped me off my sanity because my mind had become a cage of scary envisions.Hell, I could barely imagine what Nancy was doing to Henry right now, and how Sofia must have maltreated Olivia her entire life.“My poor children,” I muttered, tears rolling down my cheeks. “Do you now see why you need to consider my offer?” Sammy pestered. “I'm not asking for much, I just want you to spread those beautiful legs for me once and I'll smuggle you out of this place. We will be happy, I promise you. I will do everything to make you happy.”“Fuck you!” I spat.“Gladly, Jocely

But rest assured that we are still looking into it and we should get something very soon.” He replied, which made me sigh heavily, the weariness in my heart multiplying.“Alright, thanks for your work.” I said before ending the call.Placing my head in both hands, I exhaled heavily as I tried to imagine how Jocelyn was faring wherever she was at the moment.A week had passed since her abduction, and even though I had gotten the police and even the CIA involved, they still couldn't find anything, which unnerved me to no ends.I could barely eat or sleep because I spent everysecond worrying about Jocelyn's whereabouts and safety.During the little period I wasn't worrying about her, I was deeply immersed in work.Just then, my phone vibrated with a text message

Eduardo’s POV Inhaling lungfuls to suppress the anger simmering within me, I stepped out of my car.I had finally found a way to expose Nancy and simultaneously set Jocelyn free from wherever Nancy, Damien, and Sofia were hiding her.Yesterday, I had spent the whole night pondering over the shocking sight of the dreadful trio having a get together at a restaurant, and had been filled with so much rage for Jocelyn.Poor Jocelyn who trusted Nancy even more than herself at times.Poor Jocelyn who always held Nancy in high regards and adored her greatly only for her to get stabbed in the back.I couldn't even understand the reason why Nancy must have done something that terrible to someone as nice as Jocelyn. Ringing her doorbell, I pocketed my hands which were bunched into fists into my pocket as I waited for Nancy to answer. After the obviously-edited picture and message, the person posing as Jocelyn had sent another text, informing me that she was currently in Thailand with Damien.D

If you insist on starving yourself, I will have no option but to ask the guards to force feed you and I doubt you'd want that.”Without waiting for my response, she left the room, leaving me with the guards.Just then, Damien walked in. “Hi, Jocelyn. He's funny, tall, and handsome.”For peace to reign, I decided against pushing the subject further and instead remain on the current topic which was the new guy.“So how and when did he ask you out?”“Three days ago after we finished a surgery together,” Ivy chuckled. “A romantic to the core, isn't he?”“I guess he is in a way,” I replied.“He told me he got an epiphany during the surgery and realized that life was too short to keep one's feelings h

Jocelyn’s POV As I flipped through the pages of a maternity book, a knock came on the door of the bedroom before Eduardo let himself in, a smile playing on his handsome face.“Hi, baby. How are you?” He asked, walking over to press a kiss to my lips and forehead.“Good,” I replied, rubbing my gargantuan belly. “The baby is kicking gently today which is quite surprising. If I didn't have an experience with pregnancy, I would have asked you to drive me to the hospital, so we could get her checked.”I was currently in the seventh month and last trimester of my pregnancy, and as much as I loved my unborn baby girl, I couldn't wait for it to come out.Last week, I had found out that I was having a girl via the surprise baby shower Amelia and Ivy had thrown me and I was very excited to meet my little baby girl. However, being cooped up at home for the past three months could be sickening and frustrating because I was always alone in the house.Three months ago during an appointment with my

Eduardo’s POV Leaning against the doorway of our bedroom, I observed Jocelyn as she laid, cocooned in the blanket, face scrunched up in displeasure and possible ache, which she wouldn't admit. She had been like that for the past five hours and it was currently ten in the morning.I had come home last night to meet Ivy having dinner with the kids and Jocelyn copoed up in bed, burning hot with a temperature. All my efforts to get her to go to the hospital had been in vain, as she had vehemently stated she was fine and didn't need to be assessed by a doctor.Right now, as I looked at her, I mentally admonished myself for listening to her last night, instead of doing a better job of persuading her to see a doctor.“That does it, baby. We are going to the hospital,” I said, and watched her try but fail to sit up.I was instantly at her side, propping a pillow behind her and covering her with the blanket.“Thanks, Ed,” She said then sneezed into the handkerchief in her hand. “I don't need

Eduardo’s POV “It's been less than a year since I left yet it feels like a decade has passed,” Jocelyn said, one hand out of the window and her eyes squeezed shut as the wind tousled her long, auburn hair.Even though she couldn't see it, I darted her a smirk before turning my attention to the road.We were currently in Australia for the week, as Henry and Olivia were currently on summer break.Jocelyn and I had decided to take them to Australia, mainly because we wanted to expose Olivia to the country and stuff.Due to the sick plan Nancy had pulled, she had been unable to spend time in Australia with her mother and sibling.Although that was in the past now, I couldn't help but feel vitriolic anger toward both Nancy and Sofia whenever I thought about it.But as Jocelyn had told me the other day, focusing on the bad things that happened in the past instead of being pleased and grateful with one's current situation, wasn't the right thing to do.I had Jocelyn and my wonderful childre

Jocelyn’s POV I inhaled shakily as I stroked my fingers across the framed picture of Henry and Olivia on the nightstand. In a few hours time, my babies would turn six and ten years from now on, they would be in high school.Another two years later, they would be in college and before I knew it, they would have their respective families.Of course I knew a day like that was still several years away, I couldn't help but feel a sort of bittersweet emotion at the mere thought. To think about six years ago, they and their brother in heaven, had been in my belly, wrapped around each other, small, tiny, pink, and completely helpless was so heartbreaking yet heartwarming.“Come on, Josie. We promised to focus on the positive part, didn't we?” I chided myself, using the back of my hand to wipe off my tears.Just then, the bathroom door creaked and Eduardo walked out.“Babe, what time are we picking up the cake?
