Jocelyn’s POV

“Do you like it?” I asked Henry, as we walked out of the ice cream shop at the park.

Five days had passed since I decided to move back to America for the purpose of having a business venture with Eduardo.

I had decided to take over the operations of my company's branch in America, which I had employed someone to run for me while I was in Australia.

“Yes, mummy. It's nice,” He grinned, showing his pearly teeth. “Mint chocolate is the bestest flavor. You should try it.”

“Best, baby,” I gently corrected him as I stroked his hair. “And no, honey, but thanks for the offer.”

In response, he just shrugged then smiled again before looping his hand in mine.

Yesterday, Henry began kindergarten at his new school, and in contrast to my fears of him being saddened by the sudden change, he seemed to have loved it. He had chattered with excitement about everything that had happened.

Jocelyn’s POV Pulling Henry to stand beside me, I looked Eduardo up and down then clenched my hands into fists. “It's nice seeing you again, Jocelyn,” Eduardo said then gestured to Henry. “Is he your son?” I was doing my possible best to maintain a calm composure because I didn't want to act rudely in Henry's presence, but the stupid smile on Eduardo's face wasn't helping matters in the slightest. If anything, it made me want to yell all sorts of profanities at him. “Yes.” I calmly replied, although the look of disdain on my face probably said another thing entirely. “Mummy, do you know Mister Edardo?” Henry asked, to which I shook my head in negation as I wiped the glare off my face. “No, baby.” Frowning, Henry looked from him to me. “But he just called you by your name.” Fuck, this wasn't how I'd planned today at all. Never had I thought that the day when Eduardo and Henry would meet would come this soon. If anything, I had foolishly thought I could find a way to

He looked so cute and I could barely resist taking a picture of him doing the dishes, so I did and sent it to his godmother, Nancy.Pushing down the thoughts of my ex-husband, I stroked Henry's hair affectionately before wiping the dishes and stacking them in the cabinet.I had initially wanted to wash them with the dishwasher but Henry had insisted on washing them with hands, so I had agreed.Today was saturday, so we had no plans to go out at all. However, tomorrow was going to be a special day as Nancy was finally moving to America from Australia. She had gotten a more flexible and well-paying job here and had decided to accept it. I was more than excited for her arrival and couldn't wait to

Eduardo’s POV “The guy has never been serious for once in his life,” Bryan spoke bitterly from the other end. “I don't even know why I bother with him.”Bryan was complaining to me about his younger brother who was notorious for being a cassanova and leaching off of him. His lastest crime was gambling his shares of their family's business and going AWOL.“Don't let him get you so worked up. He's an adult, so he can figure himself out, okay?”“I just don't understand how one can live so recklessly.”Just then, a knock came on the door. “I have a meeting now, we will talk later, man.” I told him and he sighed.“Alright then.” He responded before ending the call.Placing my phone on my desk, I said. “Come in.”Rafael walked in holding an iPad. “They have arrived, sir. Should I tell them to carry on or will you join them now?”“I will join them,” I replied, standing up, as something akin to excitement coursed through me.Today was the day Jocelyn and I would make our business partnersh

Jocelyn’s POV “Tocobo chain of companies has agreed to your terms regarding your investment in them, ma'am,” Amelia divulged, as she scrolled down her iPad. “Should I proceed with drafting the contract?”Pressing my lips into a thin line, I nodded. “Sure. That was easier than I thought it'd be.”“I agree,” Amelia said, and I chortled. As I opened my mouth to respond to her, my phone vibrated with an incoming call.“Give me one minute please,” I told Amelia who nodded, before grabbing my phone to see who it was.On seeing that it was an unknown caller, I contemplated rejecting the call and blocking their line. Right from time, I had always hated answering calls from unknown numbers because it filled me with immense anxiety. For some reasons, I decided to fight my fears and answer the call. Placing the phone to my ear, I waited for the caller to speak.“Am I on to Jocelyn Roswell?” A familiar baritone graced my ears.“Yes, who is this?”“Thank goodness, this is Damien,” He said, and I

I made chocolate cookies. Do you want some?”“Not yet, mummy,” He muttered. “This drawing is so confiscated.”“Confiscated?” I frowned, trying to deduce what Henry meant.“Yes, mummy. It's so hard and diffcud to draw,” He explained, and it instantly clicked.“Oh, you mean the drawing is complicated,” I said, stifling my laugh. “And baby, it's difficult, not diffcud, okay?”“Okay, mummy,” Henry mumbled, nodding before grabbing an eraser t

Eduardo’s POV Gazing at my sullen reflection in the mirror, I exhaled heavily as I thought of how I ruined my once happy life with my own hands.Although I didn't want to admit it, I knew the possibility of me ever getting Jocelyn back was zero. I had seen the way her eyes burned with vitriolic hatred whenever she looked at me.How she gazed at me with intense disgust and disdain.I deserved it of course for everything I had put her through in the past, but I just couldn't help but feel bad and miserable.Nothing was known about Henry 's dad and it made me greatly unnerved. As I donned my coat, a funny thought strayed into my mind; what if Henry was my son?“You have finally lost it,” I said aloud. “There's no way that can be possible.”But then again, Henry seemed to be about five years of age, and Jocelyn and I had divorced within that time range. What if she had been pregnant when I ended our marriage like the despicable loser that I was?But she had survived a tragic accident af

That reminds me, how is the whole partnership with Eduardo going? I hope he hasn't done anything stupid.” She uttered, and I smiled. “It's going well. I barely see him unless It's business-related,” I said. “And no, he won't dare do something stupid.” “That's good. Jocelyn and I truly had a connection that was greater than everything; we had an adorable little boy together. “Actually, Henry,” I started. “I live here now and I've been living here for the past three days. Do you live here too?” “Oh, cut it out, actor of the year,” Jocelyn snapped. “We both know the reason why you moved here.” “A renovation is being done on my house at the moment and I had nowhere else to go,” I fibbed. “Thus you decided to move to the exact place where I live. But something in me was confident that

Arousal pooled within me, mixing up with my blood and flowing through my veins as Eduardo knelt in front of me, his arms hooked around my waist and his lips pressed to my navel. Instinctively wrapping my hands around his head, I threw my head back in pleasure even though Eduardo was yet to touch me. The pure, undiluted sensation of his skin on mine was enough to send me tipping over the edge. Repressing the urge to have a premature orgasm, I fluttered my eyes open and looked into his, melting at how sexy his lust-addled grey eyes looked. Pressing another kiss to my navel, Eduardo ran his hands from my ass cheeks to my back down and rested on my ass before he stood up, lifted me bridal style and pressed a kiss to my forehead. Thereafter, he placed me on the bed, intense arousal glinting across his grey eyes as he withdrew from the kiss to plant a kiss on my boobs. Looking into my eyes, he moved do

Jocelyn’s POV “Here they come,” I said, as Amelia and Rafael walked up to us.Currently, we were all seated on the hotel balcony, with Henry and Olivia having an animated yet muffled conversation about Pokémon. As usual, Ivy and Brian were sitting together and there was a slightly pink tint on Ivy's cheeks, to show how flustered she was in Brian's presence. It was excruciatingly obvious as the days flew by that Ivy liked Brian, and from what I had observed, it seemed he also liked her but did a great job of hiding it.The reason why they both couldn't be adults and admit to having feelings for each other, instead of being awkward around each other, was simply unknown to me.“Hi, our beautiful bride-to-be,” Amelia beamed, hugging me from behind as I was seated. “You look radiant.”“Thanks, Amelia,” I said. “How was the journey?”“Very peaceful.
