Ciara's POV
How can I forget how Patricia Lim and I became friends? We have been friends since we're still in 9th grade until now that we are currently in college. I recalled how we encountered and became friends.
Patricia and I were classmates for the first time at the time, and believe me when I say that everyone in the room became my friends, but she's the one I could never approach.
We once partnered on a project and activities as a pair. Shan and I must have been partners at the time in case our Teacher became too upset and split the two of us.
I don't have a choice; I'm stuck with a person who's not my favorite. I dislike her since she's the only classmate with whom I don't get along and with whom I don't share the same vibes.
As a result, I discovered why she refused to talk to me. She was terrified of my aura at first, but that changed after she met me.
We got closer than we had ever been after that. Because of my name, Ciara, which is pronounced SHAra, SHAn, and patriSHA, we became the Trio SHA.
We ate our lunch and left the school to ride a tricycle to Ong Yiu, which is primarily populated by Muslims attributed to the presence of a mosque or church.
Patricia's family is well-known and rich. Both her father and mother have previously studied at Father Saturnino Urios University. I am familiar with their parents' love story, and they appear to be content with their family.
Despite their hectic schedules, even her mother, who works as a manager and finance supervisor for a company, finds time for her family. That's the kind of family I'd like to have.
When we arrived at their house, we got off the tricycle, "I'll be the first to pay. You are free to go inside and wait for me."
I nodded and walked through their front gate. I've always hung around here and am familiar with their residence. They never fail to make me feel like I'm not a part of Patty's family, so it's like my fourth home.
The first is, of course, my own residence. Shan's residence is the second as he is, of course, my best friend. The third is Uncle Derek's or their restaurant's residence. This is the fourth house.
When I was going to walk through the front door of their house, I ran into a man who was also about to go out.
When I looked at him, I was taken aback when I noticed that his eyes were the same shade as Patricia's. My gaze was drawn to his crimson lips, but I quickly closed my eyes, as though returning to reality.
"Are you all right? I'm sorry, I did not notice you." His voice is like Shan's, it is so manly, as are his worried expressions.
"Uh," I remarked, "I'm good."
"You must be Patty's best friend. Isn't that Ciara?" Is he familiar with me? I nodded and smiled, "Finally, it's great to meet you. My name is Patrick, and I'm Patricia's twin brother."
"Here's the — Oh my god!" Patricia exclaimed as she saw his twin brother. "You've arrived! I brought Ciara here since I assumed you were coming tomorrow."
He simply shrugged, "Why? That's great because I've met your best friend already."
"How many days or weeks will you spend here, Pat?" I asked, staring at them and not understanding what was going on.
Patrick chuckled. "Patty, you're being cruel to me. You're going to send me back after I just arrived? I'm not going back to Davao; I'm staying here for good," he said, rolling his eyes.
"Oh, Ciara, please be patient with my twin," Patty urged as she tugged me inside their house.
"He's basically a chatty guy in general."
I chuckled, "It's fine, he's cute," I added, blushing since I had just said he was cute, as I noticed Patricia smirking, "I mean, you two are cute twins. You know, I really want a sibling, don't you?"
"Ciara, we are sisters at heart nothing can separate us," she remarked, and I smiled.
My friends, close friends, and best friends never let me feel alone, no matter how lonely I am. They are always by my side, which I admire.

Patricia and I walked down the hallway towards the Accountancy Program Faculty office together with her twin brother, Patrick. He mentioned that he will surely move here for good and he enrolled that quickly.
I don't know how but maybe that's how things work when you are rich, you get everything you want if you are willing to pay for it.
"You know twin that I love you so much. If I don't, I probably left you alone here," Patricia said.
True, it's already quarter past eleven o'clock in the morning, and we've missed two subjects today and yet.
He chuckled and grinned, "I know that, Patty," he said and turned to me, "How about you, Miss Gorgeous? I mean, Miss Jones?" He stared at me and it makes me blush because he really brought his face close to mine.
Patricia pinched her twin's face and pinched it on the side, "Cut it, Patrick! My best friend might be traumatized because of you."
Patrick laughed back, "Your tandem both are so cute. Just wait for me for a while and then we'll eat. I'll make sure that we're all in the same subjects."
Patricia rolled her eyes, "Why do you still want to be with me all the time? I'm so tired of being with you all of the time."
"You're not the reason. Of course, I want Miss Jones to be my classmate. Right, miss gorgeous?" He smiled when he looked at me.
I just smiled, "There's no doubt you two are twins."
They got the same attitude. I knew Patty very well and now that I have also met her twin is both very mischievous and talkative.
But, I know that even though Patricia is quite talkative and may be harsh, but she has a good heart. Maybe, that goes to Patrick, too.
A Student Assistant approached Patrick and approved his transfer here at school. Patricia and I looked at her schedule and she was right and we were all in the same class. It looks like there will be more to the group of friends.
"Alright! Let's go and let's eat at Jollibee. Don't worry, this is all on me because you came with me the whole morning," Patricia and I agreed and we walked together.
I took out my phone because I felt someone was texting me, "Where are you, Ciara?" I read Shan's message.
"Going to Jollibee with Patricia and Patrick," I typed and replied to his message.
"Shan is asking where I am," Patricia said as she glanced at my phone.
"Does Shan happens to be your boyfriend?" I looked across to Patrick, who just asked.
"He's my best friend," I explained.
"He's in our circle of friends," Patrisha confirmed.
"He's the third member of Trio SHA," Patrick added. "If you wish, you can invite him with us," he said emphatically.
"It seems he's still in class; don't worry about him," I explained. I'm also sure he's with his girlfriend today, so why waste bugging him?
We had just gotten out of school and were only a few steps away from Jollibee. It is not far from our school; in fact, it is only a short walk away, and it is located in the center of the city, known as Downtown.
We entered the fast-food chain. Patricia demanded that he be the one to order in case he got it wrong, so Patrick and I searched the second floor for a vacant position, as we found.
It was a little awkward at first, but he finally broke the silence, "Please accept my apologies for my behavior. I'm quite chatty and mischievous," he replied, smiling at me.
"Oh, Patrick. That's fine for me. It's like I've met two Patricia's in my life," I said, and he chuckled, "but I can still see the goodness in your heart, even though you're so strange and mischievous. It's the same as Patty's."
"Anyway, are you certain Shan is really just your best friend?" he asked.
I sneered, "Yeah, of course. He's been my best friend ever since. He's always there for me when I'm sad and lonely, and you know how sad my life is."
"Why?"
"I have always had the feeling that no one cares about me. Even my parents haven't really had time with me since then. Yes, they sent me to school, but that's all," I explained, "but I'm satisfied because Shan and his family are there to make me feel good."
"I suppose you have feelings for him?"
When he asked that, I froze. I nodded as I stared into his eyes "Yes, I love him, but I do not even stand much of a chance. I've been feeling alone again since he got a girlfriend."
I was caught off guard when he grabbed my hands and murmured, "Don't worry. You'll never be alone again now that I'm your friend and now I'm here."
Shan's POV
I waited for her to message or contact me while looking at my phone. This is not really like Ciara; she seems to already have changed.
I mean, this is the first time I've noticed she's not in class this year. It's fine for her to skip, but she didn't say anything about what happened.
I decided to skip my afternoon classes to visit her because it was almost quarter to eleven and I hadn't gotten any texts. I was concerned. What if she didn't inform me about something that happened to her?
I remembered she wanted to say something just before yesterday, and I kept wondering if my best friend was actually that ill.
We are all staying in the classroom today, although our class was dismissed earlier. I was about to leave when I overheard four of my female classmates discussing in a corner, directly just beside me.
"I heard there's a new transfer in the Accountancy Program,"
"It's Patricia Lim's twin who's studying from Davao,"
"Is she the handsome guy and cutie we saw earlier?"
"Maybe, because he was earlier with Patricia and Ciara."
When I heard that, I was trembling and closing my eyes. So Ciara was simply at school the entire time? She did not bother telling me about her or that they were hanging out with someone?
I grabbed my phone and opened the messenger app to call her, but she was unreachable.
I went downstairs to buy some load. I texted her, "Where are you, Ciara?"
I spotted her at the gate as she picked up her phone and it appeared that she had seen my message.
"Going to Jollibee with Patricia and Patrick," she replied.
I scribbled, "You know how scared I was because I was afraid about what had happened to you? Ciara, you're so annoying! I'm hoping you'll focus all of your attention and time on me!"
I was about to send it when I realized what I had written was ugly and I acted like a jealous boyfriend, so I erased it. I'm not sure what was going through my head, but I was furious towards Patrick, and I thought like he was about to steal Ciara from me.
I saw them walk away and was about to follow them when I heard someone yelled, "Baby!"
It was Julie when I turned aside. I approached her and said, "Hello, baby. Where are you up to now? Have you eaten lunch yet?"
She merely nodded as she replied, "Yeah, but I'm going home now since Mommy and I are going elsewhere."
As senior high kids are only at school for half a day, Julie and I spend most of our time together until late at night, so I rarely meet Ciara.
"All right, I'll just go at my friends," I responded, and she nodded and left.
Shan's POVI decided to just stroll towards Jollibee because Ciara stated that was where they were going and I want to meet Patrick, their new friend. As soon as I walked in, my eyes caught sight of Patricia, who was waiting in line, so I approached her, and she seemed surprised to see me,"Oh, you're here. Did Ciara inform you that we'd be here?""Yes. Is it okay for me to join you because there is no class and it's quite boring?""Of course!"She exclaimed, laughing."It's quite awkward that you're with someone."&
Ciara's POVJust as time with our cute session with Shan, Uncle Derek appeared, carrying the supper he had ordered for us."It's here. Have a good time with your dinner, kids,"he placed down all the food we wanted and leans closer to me,"Enjoy your date,"he whispered to me after. My Uncle bolted before I could even hit him. When Shan noticed my gloomy look, he burst out laughing,"What's that expression on your face, best friend? HAHAHAHAHAHA. What did he say to you?""It's nothing,"I said as I gathered up the utensils,"he simply enjoys teasing me."He simply shook his head me a tray of my favorite dishes. We're just eating our meal,
Shan's POV I let out a gasp. What was the point of that?! Are they attempting to keep me out of their lives? Worst of all, even my best friend is losing interest in me! Ciara picked them over me, and I can't quite believe it. If Patrick hadn't captured her, it would never have happened between us! I wouldn't be upset any longer because Ciara and I have already discussed everything, but why do I have the feeling that she is drifting away from me? I don't know what I've done to her. I sighed and walked away. I have no idea where Patrick took my friends. I haven't been able to locate my girlfriend because she is also busy. Julie has been busy these past few days, as I've notice
Ciara's POVPatrick and I just sat on the nice sand while watching the view on the beach. The place is so peaceful and it helps me erase the bad vibes towards Julie."I don't think I'll be able to return here again," I said, staring at him who was also looking at me, "My family has no nice trips and vacations.""How did you come to that conclusion?"He asked."Since I was a child, I've felt as if I didn't have parents because they were always preoccupied with work. Shan is the only one who takes me to places like this."
Shan's POV I stood in front of the gate, a safe distance away from Ciara. Their relationship with their parents appears to be excellent. I'm glad her wish to reconcile with her parents was ultimately fulfilled. I'm not sure, but I'm not happy. I'm not pleased with what's going on between the two of us, especially when I'm not sure who to believe. I love Julie, but I also love Ciara, who is like a sister to me. I felt bad because I felt like I had duped her and damaged her by accusing her of something I didn't know about. Am I doing the right thing? After all, she is right in claiming that I knew her from the beginning. I'd known her since we were kids, and I should've known better. However, it would be unjust if I didn't believe my
Shan's POVThe waiters came over and asked for our order. If only Uncle Derek was here, he would probably already know what we both wanted. When the waiter left I looked at Ciara who was drinking her Matcha Milk Tea,"Why isn't Uncle Derek here?"She sighed,"We are supposed to be having dinner with our family tonight."
Ciara's POVHe parked his car in front of the Senior High building and opened the door for me after getting out."Thank you once more,"he offered to carry my bag,"you've done enough. it's a little heavy, but I'll handle it.""All right, I'm sure you'll be fine."I was ready to say anything when Julie, who was standing behind us, piped up,"Well, well, well. My ex-boyfriend and I broke up because the desperate best friend pulled him away from me.""Julie, please leave us alone,"Shan pleaded."It doesn't work, as I told y
Shan's POVOur practice was finished, and the coach was just starting to speak when I observed that everyone was staring at their iPhones, and some even came out as if someone was creating a fuss.I was just listening to our instructor, as soon as I saw Patrick enter the gym and call me out of it.Our coach appeared to be finished speaking, so I grabbed my stuff and dashed over to him,"What went wrong? Why are people so preoccupied right now?""Come on! Hurry up to the second floor! Ciara is being harmed by Julie!"My eyes widened, so I dashed through the mob, where I saw her tweaking the invincible Ciara, my girlfriend, once more.
Ciara's POV“So, is the JPIA not happening anymore?” I asked my bandmates. We gathered at the Accountancy Office because of Kuya Jay's announcement, and he indeed said that the JPIA convention would no longer push through.“Well, it will still happen,” Kuya Jay replied, “but the schedule is in complete disarray. The school heads and Father are already frustrated, so our school will withdraw.”“But guys, your payment won’t go to waste,” said Ate Angeline, one of the treasurers on the JPIA committee board. She took a box and handed it to us, “These are the freebies for the convention plus a five-hundred-peso refund.”After distributing the freebies, we all went out together, and Kuya Jay spoke, “What now, guys? It looks like it really won’t push through.”“Yeah,” agreed Kuya Josh with a smile, “but thank you for the time you dedicated to the band.”Kuya Jay looked my way and put his arm around me, “What about you, Ciara? Next week is our exam, and after that, you’re leaving, right?”I n
Ciara's POVAfter our last class, my friends and I left together when I noticed Zam standing outside in the hallway, seemingly waiting for me.I turned to Patrick and Patricia and said, "You go ahead; we need to talk," and they nodded and left.I looked at Zam again and saw him smile at me. "Uhh, Ciara, can we talk?""Sure. Let's go to the milk tea shop so we can talk properly," I said, and he nodded as we headed downstairs together.I saw the twins, Angelo and Rafael, at the gate. I waved at them, signaling that I wouldn't be joining them.We entered the milk tea shop and ordered our drinks. The staff quickly prepared our drinks, and we proceeded to sit in a corner. Before I could speak, he held my hands and said, "Ciara, I am so sorry for everything. I'm sorry for being mean to you."Seeing his eyes well up, I couldn't help but feel sorry and sad. Zam and I weren't particularly close, but I was becoming emotional. Maybe it's because we’re blood-related, and more so because he's my h
Ciara's POVA week has passed, and I haven't talked to anyone at school, not even at home. Even though Shan and I are neighbors, I haven't spoken to him or met up with him.I know he comes to our house every night, but I don't come out. At school, I don't talk to anyone except Patrick and Patricia. They are the only ones I always talk to, and I am very thankful to Patrick for being there for me, especially during times when I needed a friend and companion. My friends often remind me about my family, but I'm not yet ready to face them, or I'm unsure of how to approach them. Sometimes, I feel like I'm being too dramatic by not talking to my parents.I glanced at Patricia, who was eating and staring at me. "Should I talk to my parents now?"She nodded. "Yes, Ciara. One week is enough time for you to think things through.""Yeah," Patrick agreed. "No matter how angry you are with them, they are still your parents. Yes, they make a lot of mistakes. Nobody is perfect; no family is perfect.
Ciara's POVWe had just arrived at Camella Homes when I suddenly asked Patrick to stop. "Pat, I don't want to go home yet. Please let's go to the playground," I noticed it was nearly nine in the evening. It would be fine even if Patrick left me alone, since I felt safe there."Sure. I'll stay with you, okay?" he replied. I nodded, and he sped off towards the playground.I got off, immediately ran to the park's swings, and sat down. I looked up and saw that it was already a bit cloudy. Good timing; the night will keep me company.Patrick sat next to me and handed me a bag full of milk tea and a hotdog burger. I accepted them and started eating, letting out a sigh.I looked into Patrick's eyes and stared at him. "Pat, why do I always end up hurt?""Ciara, everyone goes through that process," he said. "Everyone has their own struggles, though the ways they handle them might be different.""That's confusing," I said, rolling my eyes. "How could my dad do that?""Maybe it's because he's fri
Ciara's POV"No way," was all I could say. So, her suspicions are true. My mom's suspicions about him were true and accurate."Patrick, hey. We have to go. I don't seem to want to eat here," I said coldly, still my eyes glued at the two of them.I can't believe my father is cheating on my mom! How can he do this to us?!Patrick's face was full of surprise, "W-why? I just want to -""Please," I looked at him, coldly, "can we just go to Uncle Derek's place?""Why? It something wrong? This place is -""JUST, PLEASE! LISTEN FOR ONCE! I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE!" I screamed and I just realized the scene I had just made."Ciara? Darling?" I heard my dad called me. I turned to them and there I saw the face of the woman. I don't know her at all, but her face has registered to me.I turned to Patrick, "I said, let's go. Look at that!""S-sorry. Come on," he said but my dad already got up his feet so I quickly turned back.I quickly stormed off but I felt daddy chasing after me, "Ciara! Please,
Ciara's POVWe ordered some food and went to the seat chosen by them, "Take a seat, Jane. You're very welcome here." Jane was not new to them since they already knew and met Jane a couple of times when we used to hang out at Shan's place and they got to know Jane about her bungling and her intense knowledge and wisdom at a young age."Hey! So, how are your studies, fellow friends?" Jane asked the four of them and I can see that they groaned."Awful.""Stressed.""Tiring.""Haggard."Jane looked at me full of astonishment and turned to them again, "Why is it tiring and stressful? I mean, look at me. I am a student also and I always look fresh when I study and read some lessons. It's not hard."Patrick stared at her with his jaws dropped, "You are such a nerdy, Jane. Probably! You're still on what? Grade one? You haven't even reached subtraction and multiplication yet, so you can say that it's not hard," Patrick said."Oh, it's just the beginning, Jane. You still have a long way ahead
Ciara's POVWe walked and crossed the national highway until we reached the milk tea shop.We went in and Patrick immediately ordered. I immediately took my book on cost accounting and read it."Seriously, study right away Rose, ah? Just chill first and let's just talk about your life,"Patrick said. I looked at him and sighed,"It's that, you've been studying that for almost a week. You've probably memorized the weighted average formula."I laughed,"You're right, Patrick,"I closed the book and put it back in my bag,"Oh, what are we going to talk about?""As for you and Shan,"Patrick sat up,"what's the real score on them? Zam's only been like that for a month."I looked him
Ciara's POVShan immediately separated from me and I could see the annoyance on the face he was holding back. I laughed at her and looked at Jane who was standing in the doorway staring at us,"Hi, Jane! Come on."She rolled her eyes,"There you two are again. Please, I'm not used to seeing you two like that.""Hey, Jane. As much as you know but you're young. Go out and go inside your room,"Shan scolded but instead, she entered Shan's room."I will just stay here, bro. The best thing is let's just watch a movie. It can prevent on what you're planning to do here,"he said and she grinned. Jane is very mature to think even though she is only in grade one. Uncle John even said that she was just like his sister, Faith when she was young.
Ciara's POV"At this time since the first day of school, why don't we introduce ourselves first? It's like I can get to know you all and I won't have a hard time getting to know you when we have oral recitations."I groaned. Why introduce more? What are we? High school? We are college students but we are still considered children because of that introduction!I looked around and never knew all my future classmates. Not everyone here is also my classmate in all subjects because it is only a minor subject and many irregular students are also included.Everyone starts to introduce and thankfully they started in the front row, which means we still have a long way to go.I noticed that other graduating students were also included in our subject, others were also a year ahead of us. See? Do you think we need to introduce more?
