/-Skylar-/

Dinner would have been the tastiest meal I've had in a while, if I was spared the presence of this annoying asshole.

“Guess who came by today,” he started and I wondered what it would take for that food to choke him. It would have been a pleasant sight.

“Your sense of reasoning?” I sneered. “Oh wait, I'm still here so obviously I'm wrong. You're still out of your senses.”

He chuckled, obviously not insulted as I assumed he would be.

“It was your former employer,” he told me. “Taylor Macaulay.”

I frowned. The one who fired me for coming to work late, even though I was sick at that period.

“What about him? I don't owe him anything,” I said.

“Actually, you do. You owe him a whole lot and his sisters as well,” he said and I tried to remember who exactly his sisters were.

“Am I supposed to know them?” I asked him.

“You don't remember two women you sent to the ER?” He wiggled his brows.

Oh fuck! Those women!

My mind raced with several thoughts. How did I get myself into

His eyes were no longer playful or mischievous. He was pissed. I could feel his fucking gaze burn through me. I accepted the drink from Sebastian and downed it in one gulp. “Hey guys, this is Skylar, a new friend of mine and of course, our new drinking partner,” he introduced me. “Skylar, these are my friends. /-RAVEN-/ “Mate!”The words escaped my mouth before I realized what I'd said. My wolf growled within me, excited, as the minty scent intoxicated me. No! No! No! This can't be real. There had to be a mix-up. The moon goddess couldn't possibly do this to me. It has to be a trick! Here I was, on top of my father's rival, hands clutched around a silver blade, raised in the air to gut him in the glory of our pack, the Bloodfang Tribe… But somehow he was my mate?My hands trembled as those silver eyes fluttered open.I had barely recovered from the shock when he flipped me over, trapping me underneath him. A dark smirk played on his lips, “Hello, little mate.” My body tensed at the electrifying contact. I could easily have performed a thousand counter moves to get back on top but my brain and my body betrayed me. He knocked the knife off my hands, pinning my hands above my head. “Lady Ariella of HallowClave or perhaps you prefer Raven Ampleton, Alpha princess of the Bloodfang Tribe

/-ALPHA DECLAN-/I woke up feeling like a king, or rather, an alpha. The memories of the previous night's encounter with Raven flooded my mind, and I couldn't help but grin. That woman was something. I'd had my fair share of crazy but Raven was different. Thought of her occupied my mind. After a refreshing shower, I made my way to Raven's cell, curious about her morning mood. She was ready to gut me last night. Who knows maybe she'll be willing to have tea this morning. As I approached, her angry voice echoed through the corridor."Let me out of here, you beast! I'll never submit to you!"That's a no to the tea then, I thought grinning.I chuckled, anticipating the sparks that would fly between us. The attraction we shared was the realest thing I've felt in a long time. "Good morning, sweetheart," I said, leaning against the cell door.Raven's eyes blazed with fury. "Don't call me that!""Ah, but it suits you perfectly," I teased, admiring her tangled hair and sleep-creased face. The

/-RAVEN-/I paced the back and forth in the cold cell, my mind racing with escape plans. Every plan I could think of had a blind spot that would definitely get my ass caught. I needed something extreme. As time went by, it was starting to feel like I'd been locked there forever. The guards' silence was deafening. I could hear them and smell them so I knew they were there. I'd asked them repeatedly about the letter, but they just ignored me."Any update on the letter?" I asked again, trying to keep my voice from showing my frustration. The guard, a big man with enough beard to make Santa Claus envious, grunted. "No questions. Just eat your food."I glared at the stale bread and watery soup. My stomach growled, but I refused to touch it. If they wanted to kill me, then a sword through the heart would have been preferable, not food poisoning. I refused to die shitting out my guts. Just as I was about to ask again, a hissing sound echoed outside the cell, followed by multiple thuds whic

/-RAVEN-/I paced my cell, convinced Declan was lying. Eric would never betray me like that. Never. Eric was the most incredible man I've ever met. He was noble and trustworthy. This kind of behaviour was beneath him. Determined, I scribbled another letter, pouring my heart onto the page. Declan must have torn up the first letter out of spite and had his people draw up the fake wedding invitation. He could have convinced me with the Ampleton seal but any moron could forge that with the right tools. "My dearest Eric,I'm trapped, but my love for you remains unshaken. There are some nasty rumours—never mind about that. I'll escape, and we'll reunite soon.Yours always,Raven"As I finished writing, Declan walked in with a smirk on his face. He eyed me then his eyes shifted to the letter. His expression changed but the annoying smirk stayed in place. "Another love letter?" he teased. “Who knew you were such a romantic?" I glared angrily at him. "Just take it." My eyes grew vicious as

-RAVEN-As Eric Ampleton often warned, my pride would inevitably lead to my ruin. Declan wasn't someone to be trifled with. Behind all that charisma and pleasant smiles lurked a ruthless, cold-hearted man.And here I was, practically serving myself up on a silver platter. My gaze shifted to the towering man in front of me.If I wasn’t shackled, I could have easily taken him down with something as small as a penknife. Though, his axe seemed designed for someone far beyond average.“So…” I attempted to break the silence. “Do I get to deliver a solitary speech, or are you just going to lop off my head?”There was a brief flash of amusement in his eyes, though curiosity was more dominant.“It’s not too late to reconsider,” his rough voice exuded such overwhelming masculinity that I momentarily questioned my decision. He had promised a quick, painless end, but was it really worth it?Without warning, he lifted the axe, and I flinched. Dying hadn’t seemed all that terrifying until this very

/-Raven-/On arrival at the slave chambers, I was met with three other women. I was tempted to walk back outside and ask Tiny Tim if they were all Declan's slaves, but I remained rooted to the spot. The hostile gazes they cast at me were already a huge clue pointing to the fact that they didn't want me here. Good thing, because I didn't want to be here either."That's her?" The blonde in a silky white dress asked."Definitely. Lisa said she had full, messy red hair and calculating green eyes," the brunette responded like I wasn't in the same room with them. The one with dark hair walked to me."I'm Othelia, nice of you to join us," she introduced warmly. I made to take her hand but she retracted it. "I'm sorry, I got tired," she smiled and the others giggled. My eyes narrowed at them. I wasn't here to play their childish games. "What's your name?""Raven," the blonde responded on my behalf. "Haven't you heard of her? The dreaded wolf assassin. The one who men fear across kingdoms."

/-Kai-/“Sir, you have a visitor.” “Tell whoever it is that I'm busy,” I answered. My schedule for the day was closed and only a few people loved to fix appointments without any consultation. Not limited to my ex-wife, of course. “It's Taylor Macaulay, sir,” my PA went ahead to inform me. Taylor? Now that was interesting. “Let him in.”A few minutes later, he walked into my office with the same air of arrogance as he did two years ago. He took a seat and stared at me with a very serious expression. “It has come to my notice that you have my staff in your possession,” Taylor said. I leaned back against my seat. “I don't remember receiving any staff with a recommendation letter from you, Mr Macaulay.” “Skylar Anderson,” he called. The audacity of him to come looking for the very girl he sent after me. I was yet to uncover her real mission in my life and he expected me to just hand her over?“I don't know anyone by that name,” I shrugged, pulling out my cigarette pack. “I'm n

/-Skylar-/He was going to drive me insane. I needed to get the fuck out of this place. So I hatched a plan.My lunch was served at the usual time and thankfully it was something that required both a fork and knife. The guards were just outside, minding their business so I had enough time to decide which vein to cut through without writing myself a direct ticket to hell. I picked up the knife and after careful examination, I cut through the vein and the blood came gushing out. It didn't heal, further confirming that I was indeed human. I let out a sigh of disappointment before a terrifying scream. The door burst open and I let myself pass out. I could feel several movements but I didn't dare open my eyes to find out. The smell of drugs and other disgusting diseases told me I was in the hospital. I stilled myself for some injections and then the worst happened. I passed out for real. I cracked my eyes open just enough to see the harsh fluorescent lights above me, their cold glow

/-Kai-/It was so fun messing with her. Even now, I could still see the blush on her face. She acted like she hated me, yet here she was, fighting multiple emotions. She was by far the most intriguing woman I have ever met. Not to mention the fact that her feistiness reminded me so much of Raven. “What are you looking at, jerkface?” She hissed, refilling her shot. “If you keep drinking like that, you're going to get drunk,” I stated. “Is that a crime?” She shot back. “Not really. Just that, I won't be held responsible for whatever happens to you after this. If you throw yourself at me, I am going to fuck you, drunk or not,” I smirked.Skylar threw the alcohol into her mouth. “I better go find a man, then. Wouldn't want to settle for less,” she sneered and stood. My smirk faded as I walked her get off the seat, her peachy ass bouncing as she walked away from me.I wanted to go after her but my guard returned with the diamonds. “All real, sir,” he affirmed and I glanced at my sup

/-Skylar-/He was so annoying. Everything about him made me want to scream and pull my hair out. We were outside a club now, where his supposed business partner was supposed to be meeting him. And yes, he made me wear the dress. It was a lot more revealing than I thought, considering the fact that it was barely below my mid thighs. I wanted to ask him what sort of business he was doing in a place like this but every time I looked at him, I would catch his shameless eyes roaming, shamelessly taking in every detail of my body and I couldn't… My stupid body would react to it. I clenched my fists, funking inside as I cursed myself out for looking flustered. The arrogant jerk would just have another reason to praise himself. As we proceeded into the club, his arm snaked around my waist and my entire body stiffened. I tried to wiggle free but his grip only tightened. He wanted me to stay in place.I stopped fighting when I noticed the amount of respect he commanded. No one dared to tou

/-Skylar-/“Get dressed.”The guard simply dropped the dress on my mistake of a bed and walked out of the room. I picked up the dress slowly and examined it. It was very short with lots of open spots. I knew that if I wore this, my cleavage would be in the open and I couldn't bring myself too. All I could think about were the hands of those filthy men, all over me, molesting me. This woukd be an open invitation and I wasn't ready to take that chance. I dropped the dress aside and just waited for him to come back. A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door, as if asking if I was ready.“Come in,” I told him and he walked in. “You're not dressed?” He asked and I nodded. “Yes, I am not. As a matter of fact, I don't intend to wear this so tell your boss to either arrange another dress or leave me the fuck out of whatever plans he has,” I told him. He didn't respond to me. Instead, he simply walked out of the room and I assumed he was going to tell that grey-eyed demon about

I only care about you fixing the damage you've caused. Until you pay back, your friend will remain in our custody!” He said and Ava looked like she would rather die at that moment. “Uhm… how about you take me in your custody instead? I was the one who bashed your car, remember? She had nothing to do with what happened to your car and frankly, of the two of us, she is the one most likely to bring you money for the damages,” I told him. The look on Ava's face was priceless. She didn't seem to know whether to be relieved I was offering to take her place or pissed that I was shifting my responsibilities to her. He took
