(Detective Garcia’s POV)

I leaned against the shadowed wall of the dimly lit corridor where I found Cole and Bright after they sneaked out of the party. I was going to chase after Bright, but then I found them together.

They don’t really separate, do they?

My arms are crossed over my chest as I watch them. They’re standing too close to each other, whispering like lovers caught in their own little bubble.

It makes me sick.

I’ve always known that Bright was a faggot, but I didn't realize that it was this bad. And I didn’t expect that Cole is gay, either. He doesn’t look gay to me, though. Do they have a relationship?

I watched as Cole’s fingers brushed Bright’s cheek, wiping away what looked like a tear. Faggot’s crying? His expression softened, tender in a way I never thought I’d see from someone like him. It’s disgusting. Sweetness and Cole don’t belong in the same sentence. Yet here he is, playing the role of a gentle partner.

I narrowed my eyes. I can't

(Bright’s POV)The sound of my footsteps echoed in the hallway as I made my way to the calling station. I’m trying to keep it lowkey because the last thing I wanted to happen is a bunch of motherfuckers finding out it’s my schedule today. They will surely steal my schedule sheet from me.“Why are you here?” he asked as soon as I entered his office. I didn’t bother knocking because that’s no use anyway.“I hope you’re not thinking it’s your company I’m after,” I replied, waving the schedule sheet in my hand. He crossed his arms, shrugging his shoulders as he’s thinking about believing my words.“I imagine your boyfriend wouldn’t be too thrilled about this little visit.”I roll my eyes, ignoring the jab. “Yeah, well, he doesn’t own me, and he’s not my boyfriend.” I slide the schedule sheet across his desk, pointing to the time slot I’m here for. “I’m scheduled for a call. Ten minutes. You approved it.”He picks up the sheet lazily, scanning it like he doesn’t a

(Bright’s POV)I hate to say this, but it’s been days since I called, and I haven’t heard shit from my ex-boss. Did he abandon me big time?“Fuck…” I hissed as I wiped off the sweat that slipped into my eye. It’s the afternoon, and I’m working my ass off at the yard again.People are back to normal. It’s like a big ass party didn’t happen inside the prison. It’s strange, but I'm starting to get used to it. Nothing will happen if I question things about this place anyway because the last time I did, Cole kissed me to shut me up—definitely not my proudest moment.I could feel my sweat dripping down my back as I finished my task for the day. It’s been three days. Three days of silence from my ex-boss. I keep replaying that phone call in my head, every word, every threat. Did I go too far? Is he going to rat me out? The thought keeps hunting at me.If he talks, there’ll be hell to pay, and not just for me. The reason I did that was because I wanted to get the hel

(Bright’s POV)I can’t believe this is my life now.Out of all the conditions my ex-boss could’ve given me, this is what he came up with—spy on Cole?He said he heard about our strange closeness, which I found really gross. Whoever gave him that information is bad news. But it’s not like I have a choice anyways. That’s so much better than a million much worse things he could have asked me to do.It’s very simple if you think about it. He just wants me to keep tabs on him, figure out what his deal is, and report back like a sly fox. I’m trying so hard to stay away from him, and now I’m supposed to get closer?Great. Just great.Apparently, the world outside these walls is obsessed with Cole. People are calling him “too hot to be a criminal.” Some are even joking about getting themselves locked up just to see him in person. A killer with a fan club. What a time to be alive. It makes me wonder if these people are all sick in the head. Like what kind of brain

(Bright’s POV)I’m not really expecting him to catch me so soon. Was I that obvious? I mean, yeah, being nice to anyone is definitely not something I normally do. It is usually because I need something from you, or I find you cute—which is definitely not the case here—but the point is he can’t know the truth!Ironically, I didn’t know I’d be such a bad liar as a detective. Lying to Cole isn’t exactly easy either.I need to make up something. THINK FAST!“You know what I mean,” I snapped, feeling the heat of my face. I’m running out of excuses to say. “Just… throw me a bone here. Why did you give yourself up?”Cole set his fork down. I uncomfortably shifted at my seat. He’s making me want to regret everything I did since I entered his cell. He looked at me with that same unreadable expression, and for a second, I think he’s actually going to tell me something real.“Because I felt like it,” he said flatly, like killing a series of people was normal for him.

I panicked when his hand started to go down my private part.“Don't you think about it, Cole!” I angrily warned.I felt him leaned closer, until his lips brushed the skin on my neck. I whimpered silently as I felt his bulge hitting my ass. I can feel it getting bigger every time it touches me. I’m a guy myself, and believe me when I say that this guy’s dick is larger than average.“Stop it!”He didn't listen.Instead, he continued his way inside my pants until his hands already wrapped around my aroused cock.“You know you like it, little bunny,” he sexily whispered in my ears, while his hand started to slowly stroke my private part. I buried my face in the sheets to prevent myself from making nasty noises.I don't want him to think that I’m enjoying this. And I don't want to admit to myself that I am.When he realized that

Each shot feels like a punch to my chest. It was so loud it scares me even when I’m already an adult. He can definitely fool anyone with his butler-vibe.I scanned my eyes around the place. What the hell is this place anyway?I brushed my hair back using my hand. I’m not sure how we will get here, but I won’t be surprised if this is a dream. I don’t really remember having this kind of place in prison. This place feels like a paradise. "Where's Cole?" I asked half-jokingly.I don’t even know why he’s the first person I’d look for in such a strange place. I’m not really expecting an answer because I’m a hundred percent sure this is a dream. But to my surprise, Livioski straightened his posture and said, "Follow me."I blinked. "Wait, seriously?"My brows furrowed slightly. Wait… He’s actually here? I thought…I was just fucking around. (Bright’s POV)I blinked at them.Wait… What did he say? I’m not sure I heard him right. “Fiancée?” I repeated his voice inside my head.Cole didn’t even bother to pay me attention to give me some sort of enlightenment. Like what the hell is he talking about? Me? His fiancée? I didn't sign up for that.As much as I wanted to call his attention, his focus is entirely on the two men staring at him like he’s lost his mind.I think they're what we should be more worried about. They don't even have to say a word for me to know that they don't like what he just said to them. They widened their eyes like it’s the most ridiculous thing they’ve heard.*BLAAAGG!*The older man slammed his hand on the table, making me jump. “What nonsense is this, Cole? Have you completely lost your mind?!”Cole looked at him nonchalantly.“I’m not asking for your approval,” he said flatly.Bryan leaned back in his chair, a smirk tugging at his lips. He looked so amused.

(Bright’s POV)The car door clicked shut behind me as I stepped out. I could hear the sound of my shoes crunching lightly on the gravel as I stood up to look at what's in front of me.I stared up at the massive mansion in front of us. This also feels surreal.Just like Cole’s mansion, this feels like something that came out straight from the magazine. It's modern, sleek, and almost intimidating with its giant glass windows that stretch up like walls. From here, I can see the ocean glittering in the distance. Cool. It's a beach house. I bet they always get their daily dose of vitamin D here.I tend to forget sometimes that this is just a small island. Not that small. But to have all these places in just one island? Yeah. I’d call it very small.I glanced at the man standing in front of me. He’s busy looking at his phone, like he was checking something before he could gesture to me to proceed inside.Cole has been getting busier and busier lately. I’m not e

(Bright’s POV)Being served like a princess wasn’t exactly how I pictured being abducted feels like. The first thing that came to my mind as soon as I found out that a notorious serial killer took me with him—after causing a ruckus inside the maximum security prison where he’s supposed to stay forever—is that I’m going to die in his freaking hands.Cole is unpredictable. I’m trying to use all possible psychology that could explain how he behaves a certain way, but I just don’t understand why he does things he does.Like right now…I bet he spent a lot of money paying these people who made me look like I was born to live as a royalty.I glanced at my reflection in the mirror.“This suit must have cost a fortune,” I mumbled to myself. The intricate details on the fine cloth makes me want to believe that this is something you’d usually see on luxury brands.“You can go when you’re ready,” a male voice spoke from behind me. I turned to look at him. It’s Jerry

I turned to look behind me, and my lips parted when I saw a bunch of people inside. They look like they’ve been waiting for me.There are at least five of them. Two women are carrying garment bags, a gay man with a case full of makeup, and a couple more holding accessories and shoes.I frowned at their funny looking faces. They look like they’ve stepped straight out of a fashion magazine, and they are looking at me like predators. I don’t like the way they’re looking at me from head to toe, like they’re not seeing me as a person, but a doll they could dress up whatever they like. I have to be honest. It instantly puts me on edge.I didn’t know makeup could scare the shit out of me.“Uhmm… Hello?” I awkwardly said, waving my hand a little. I’m not su
