Chapter 78

When Jennifer heard his words, she asked,

"Bravery?"

"Hmm. You did not fear anything and jumped into danger, knowing that you could get hurt."

She smiled shyly. "No matter how dangerous the situation is, if it's about you, I will do the same again."

Raymond moved back from her neck. She was startled that she had said something he did not like. So she turned her head to him.

He grabbed the scarf that she was gripping all the time. She let it go.

He wrapped the scarf around her body and rubbed her shoulders.

"Your wound is healed. You will be fine tomorrow. But that does not mean you can start working. You will take some rest until I tell you to go back to work."

Her cheeks turned red from all the things he had done with her. She was too shy to look into his eyes. She lowered her head and nodded.

"Okay."

Raymond stood up and went to his side on the bed. He lay down and looked at her.

"It's late. You should sleep now."

Jennifer obeyed him like a child and slipped inside her blanket.
