Flashback

Jennifer ran to the head Alpha's room. She was crying. Her eyes were swollen, and her lips were quivering in fear, fear of losing her father.

She reached her father's room, the Alpha's bedroom. Nicole, her father's second wife, was inside. Jennifer knocked on the door before entering.

"Mom, what happened to Dad?" She asked Nicole.

Nicole was sitting on the bed beside her father. Her father had been lying on the bed for three months. He could talk to others while lying in bed until, last month, he became silent. Everyone was saying that he was dying of an unknown disease. No one could figure out what was going on with him.

"Jennifer, my daughter, come here. Come to your Dad. He needs you." Nicole replied with a shaken tone. She was sobbing.

Jennifer walked to the bed slowly, her eyes were fixed on her father.

She sat beside her father and caressed his hair.

"Dad, wake up. Why are you getting weaker day by day? When will you talk to me again?"
