Elle POV.Last night was awful, I cried through the night, and Devil didn’t come back, I waited and waited but she didn’t come back, not even when the sun came up, not when the day started, not when I had to get up, not when work time came and I had to get ready. Paul POV. How do I introduce myself? Paul, that’s the name, my age is twenty-one, I’m British, I work in the café with this cute sweet girl, she’s so sweet, but lately every time she comes in, there’s a frown on her face. She haven’t came back yet, I’m waiting for her but she’s not back, I call but the phone is always turned off, it says leave a message, I left one, I left two, I even left ones where I’m screaming and crying for her to come back but no answer, she never called back. Paul my friend, the one who saw me suffer through the week, I stopped bothering with make-up, it’s only doing harm and not much of good, I still look like the dead after putting some of it on my face, I decided to skip most morning. I broke and told him everything, he knew Devil’s work, I didn’t dare to tell, to say she’s a hired killer, she’d kill me for sure if I do that, but he knew, I didn’t know how he knew, I should ask him. But for all now all I care about is him pulling some strings and asking about my Devil, I’d do anything to keep her safe, I just want to know she’s safe, even if she doesn’t want me anymore. Nikolai POV. People who work for me are my family, this is a family business, that’s what the old man used to say, the guy I called pop, that’s my grandpa, I’m his only boy grandson, his only grandson really, and so I took over the work, I became the boss after him. Nikolai POV. I couldn’t sleep, I was planning on how to save Devil, who’d thought after all that I’ll be the one saving the hitman with no loyalties, but to have my chance with Elle. Elle I could just taste her name, French origin, meaning her, it’s beautiful. It matches her perfectly, but for now, I had to focus on work, for now me, Paul, Marco and some of my most trusted man are in my office we are planning how to save Devil and get the princess home. Elle POV. Do I pray for them to save her or not, if they manage to save her, I’ll belong to Nikolai, if not she’ll be dead and I’ll be alone. But which one is worse?
