#Chapter75Lucas' POV.How long do we give them before we worry? Is Rhydian going to have anger issues? Is Rhydian going to lash out and lose control? Are they ever going to wake up?How are we going to cope with 3 Dark Wolves?Fuck, what if Amaris wakes up but Rhydian doesn't?What if-"Lucas, are you listening?" My dad yelled. I blinked a few times, snapping out of my trance. "Huh?" I answered. He rolled his eyes as Alex snorted. "I said we should work out a schedule so someone is always watching Amaris and Rhydian." My dad explained. I hummed in response, "I need to check Rhydian's diary to see if he's got any meetings I can't handle." I sighed. Alex jogged up to me and nudged my shoulder, "You're thinking too much." He chuckled. "I can't help it." I groaned. "There are all these questions and I don't have the answers," I replied.Alex glanced over his shoulder, "I'll take the first watch." He nodded. I heard my dad reply but I was too stuck in my head to listen. I hate th
#Chapter76Lucas' POV."They have to wake up soon," I grumbled out loud to myself. It's been 4 days and these past 4 days have been hell. Elijah and Drew have gone to The Moon Lake Pack to help with the pups training. When he first mentioned the training, I thought he only meant like little pups with the basic care and skills of their wolf form. But, it's for rowdy teenage pups. So, I've sent Eli and Drew because they're amazing warriors and they will take no shit from them. Ria will be swapping with Elijah in 2 days, mainly because I need Elijah back here... I need him to stop me from going off the deep end. I hold my hat off to Alphas, it's not an easy job. There's so much to think about, making sure everyone is safe and the pack lands are patrolled. Because Goddess forbid I have another schedule clash again and have no one patrolling the border. 'We make an awesome Alpha. Stop your whining and let me out for a run.' Lupo growled. To make these past 4 days even worse... Lupo ha
#Chapter77I gawked at Rhydian. His eyes were bulging and they were bright red. "What's happening to him?" I whispered, keeping my eyes on him. "Um, he's like a Dark Wolf now," Alex answered. I whipped my head around to him and my eyes went wide. "How? Why?" I puzzled. "To match you." He answered shrugging. "Do you feel any different?" He asked. I shook my head before looking back at Rhydian. He was laid still in the bed, eyes open, canines and claws out but he wasn't making any efforts to move. The occasional growl was slipping past his lips. "I think you need to calm him down." Lucas squeaked. I took a deep breath and linked my fingers through his, "Rhydian?" I murmured. His head turned to me slowly. He took a deep breath, closing his eyes. He reopened his eyes and gazed at me. His beautiful blue orbs staring back at me, a huge smile filled his face and he sat up. "What happened?" He questioned, looking around at us all. "You're like me." I choked and looked at him in bewildermen
#Chapter78"Are you both ok?" I heard Lucas's voice at the door. Rhydian slowly pulled out making me miss the feeling of him already. "That is a fucking sight." He grinned as he whispered, looking down at me. I giggled and held my finger in front of my lips to shush him. "Yes, we'll be right down," I shouted back. He nudged a finger between my folds and smeared the stickiness everywhere. "Mine." He growled possessively. I rolled my eyes and swatted his hand away. He held his hand out to help me up before inspecting the room. "Do you think that is your ability?" He asked as he gaped at the broken windows. "What? That I can scream and shatter everything in sight." I chuckled. He looked back at me and shrugged. "I mean, it's possible. The lore has books about The Wailing Woman." He chuckled. I made my way into the bathroom and switched the shower on. "You mean a banshee? I'm a werewolf, not a banshee." I called out. He followed me in and raised his brow. "You could be both." I laughe
#Chapter79"Fuck sake, Amaris. Stop!" Rhydian growled as I reached the second floor. I stopped and took a deep breath. "What?" I rasped. "You said you might not be able to give me pups in that letter. Therefore, there's still a chance." He quickly explained himself. I stared at the floor, "Listen," He started as he lifted my chin. "Even if we can't have any pups, I'm ok with that." He whispered. "I'm not." I whimpered. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his chest. I would love nothing more than to give Rhydian a pup. Have a little mini Rhydian running around... I sniffled and clutched onto Rhydian's shirt. "I'd love that too baby. But, if we can't there's always other options." He soothed as he stroked my hair. I pulled back and frowned at him, "There's a pack orphanage full of pups, who need loving." He smiled at me. "We could also go see your doctor, find out one way or another if you can." He cautiously explained. I nodded and wiped my eyes. "Sorry, I overreacted
#Chapter80"Focus Amaris. You won't know what you can do unless you focus." Alex scolded me like a little pup. I rolled my eyes at him and waved my hand for him to carry on. "I'll run at you, try and block me. Focus on the energy spreading around you, it'll be easy if there's a threat." He explained. His lips turned up into a wicked grin and he smirked, "If you don't get the forcefield around you, it's going to hurt." He added."But what if I don't have that power?" I shrieked. He ran at me and I focused everything I had on protecting myself. I closed my eyes and imagined the red light that Alex has projected around us before. "Alex, I don't think this is working." I groaned. I opened my eyes and saw Alex laid out on the floor, catching his breath. He raised his head and gave me a thumbs up. "I'd say you have a protective barrier." He chuckled breathlessly.I looked all around me and saw a faint red light shimmering, it was exactly like what Alex can do. "Alex, this is so cool!" I y
#Chapter81We strolled side by side on the way back to the packhouse. "So, are you going to be the Luna?" He questioned, kicking the gravel on the path. I took a deep breath and sighed, "I don't know." I replied. "I need to talk to Rhydian," I announced. Now Alex is back, he is the rightful Alpha... I just don't want to push Rhydian out because he has trained to be an Alpha whereas Alex hasn't, but I don't want Alex to feel like he's missing out on becoming what he was destined to be. "Anyway, I'm going to leave you here." He shoved into my shoulder playfully. "Where are you staying?" I blurted, he chuckled and pointed towards the packhouse. "You can stay with me?" I offered. He laughed throwing his head back and shook his head. "I'm not staying with newly marked mates." He smirked. I gasped and glared down at the floor as I felt my face heating up. He chuckled and nudged me again. "Thanks for the offer though." He chuckled. "So, I'm gonna go because you just made it awkward." I c
#Chapter82I stood in the doorway and watched everyone as their smiles brightened when they realised it was us. "Is everything ok?" Georgie asked. I haven't seen her in ages, she's a nurse in the pack hospital so I know she's always busy. I nodded my head and stepped further into the room, Rhydian grabbed my hand and ran his thumb over my knuckles. I took a deep breath before I spoke, trying to gather all the courage I could."We have an announcement," I started, "We already know you're mates." Ezra quipped, grinning at us. I chuckled and rolled my eyes, "Well that much is obvious." I retorted. "Cory is coming to live with us," Rhydian announced, nothing like ripping the bandaid off. There was no sound, no gasps, nothing. I looked around the room and everyone had smiles on their faces. "I knew this was coming." Tristan chuckled. I raised my brow at him, "You can see the bond you both have with him. It's a strong one." He mentioned.Ria came running towards me and wrapped her arms ar
