Jasmine

I woke up in an empty bed, the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the room. The only reminder that I did not sleep alone was Aeron's woody scent lingering on my sheets. The mere thought of him sent a rush of excitement through me, making me blush as I stretched beneath the cosy covers. How did he manage to sneak into my room last night? It was like a fantasy come to life.

Although Aeron didn't give me everything I wanted, there was something about the way he made me feel alive. The way he softened, even if just a bit, during our shared moments. He was a complicated man that much was clear, but there was a glimmer of hope that he might open up to me.

As I rolled out of bed, my eyes fell upon a neatly folded note on my nightstand. A smile played on my lips, knowing he took the time to leave me a message. I unfolded the paper and read his words:

"Princess, wear something nice; today will be yours."

Those simple words sent my heart aflut

Jasmine After an hour, Grandma summoned me to the kitchen. Glancing back at the living room, Aeron patiently awaited my return. Eager to depart, I needed him to make the call and gracefully extract us from my sister's company. I loved Ivory, but the thought of her joining for the day and ruining our plans didn't sit well with me. “Have you two hit it off already?” Grandma inquired as I entered the kitchen. Stunned by her perceptiveness, I stood there, caught off guard. She laughed and pulled me close. “You've been looking at him as if he holds your world, Jasmine,” she noted, and I absentmindedly touched my face, realising I had been more obvious than intended. “It's okay. We can't hide our heart's desires. Our eyes tend to give it away. He looks at you the same way. You two have been exchanging those looks for a while. Gabriel and I have been waiting for the news,” she said, her words sinking in as a mix of surprise and realisation crossed my face. “I... I...” I stammered, but sh

Aeron Planning to spend the entire day with Jasmine was a bold step. It was my way of moving forward with what we have. I wasn't sure if it was the right move or if it was advisable, but I knew I would not rest until I followed my heart. Jasmine paid attention when I told her red was my favourite colour. Seeing her red lace underwear in the warehouse office drove me completely insane. I might have taken her on the spot, but there was no rush in things. I had planned the day, and I hoped to follow through. She had also been very nice and peaceful all morning; I guess the tension between us was why she lashed out most of the time. When Uncle Yusuf linked me to inform me of the shipment. I was angry because I didn't plan to work that day. Nonetheless, it needed inspection, precisely what I was doing now in the warehouse. I had left Jasmine in the office and promised her I wouldn't be long, but seeing the ammunition crates, I doubted if I could keep the promise. "Let's skip this shit

Aeron Talk about cock-blocking. I was mad about Leonard's timing. I was really hoping to get into things with Jasmine. I needed to dismiss the fucker now. I was glad I hadn't taken her to my room to see the surprise I had laid out. I hoped Julia had followed my instructions and fixed the place up. I stepped away from Jasmine, and she looked at me with longing and disappointment. She was feeling exactly the same way as I did. I looked at her apologetically and strolled towards the door. Leonard stood there with a tinge of annoyance on his face. I didn't give two fucks about his feeling because he had just interrupted my plans. "So?" I said. "Didn't know you started bringing girls home. I guess Mathia's absence forced you to change your routine," He teased, moving past me to enter. He froze when he saw who was in the living room. "Jasmine?" He asked. She had a nervous smile on her face. "Hey, Leonard," She said, and he looked at me, trying to piece things together. "Well, I gue

Jasmine Everything had happened so fast; I didn't imagine that Aeron would go all the way, but his need to own and have me seemed just as strong as mine. It was a pleasant surprise, and I wished I had the magic to rewind and live the moment repeatedly to experience his touch, the way he handled me and his dirty words. Sitting between his legs in the tub with my body leaning against him made me feel safe and wanted. All I wanted was to remain in his arms. He caressed my shoulders gently while he used his teeth to graze my neck and nibble the shell of my ear. It sent a wave of pleasure through my body, and I was coming apart already. This man would be the death of me, and maybe he knew it. He was getting into it when suddenly he froze. I turned to look at his face. His eyes were glazed over, which meant he was communicating with someone. I waited a bit for him to finish, and then he pulled me close to his body. "Princess," he whispered in my ear, and I froze a bit because his deme

  • Dark Obsession: Taming His Demons   18 Off To Woodland

Aeron Leaving Jasmine was very hard. I wished the trip to Woodland could have waited till morning, but it seemed pretty urgent. If, indeed, people from Pictoria had washed up on the shore, then we had a cause for alarm. Jasmine had held her tears and tried to seem as if she was okay with my trip. My hope was to return as soon as possible. I had never felt so light and wanted in my entire life. Throughout my day with Jasmine, memories of my haunted past did not flood my mind. I was free and alive. A feeling I would always crave. It was as if her presence quieted the noise. As I walked away from her room, I knew we had opened a new chapter. The fear of disproval from her folks and mine gnawed at me, but I had tried long enough and resisted her long enough, but not anymore. She was meant for me, and I had tried to fight it, but who was I kidding? It was always going to come to this. It was best I embraced it now. "Told you you wouldn't win," Razor growled in my head, satisfied by

  • Dark Obsession: Taming His Demons   19 Of The Past

Aeron There was a silence in the room. Laila stared at me as if she had seen a ghost. Monsoor, her brother, kept his eyes on me. They had dark circles around their eye. They looked malnourished. I could not tell if it was their time at sea that had caused it or if it was the way they grew up in Pictoria, but something was wrong with their health. Laila was crying. "You said you would come back for us," She said, weeping. I didn't want to remember those days, but her tears were forcing me down memory lane. The pain, the trauma, the promises. We promised each other many things back then, but who was I to keep them? I was just seven years old. "Laila, behave," Monsoor warned her sternly, and she wiped away her tears and composed herself, but the sadness in her eyes remained. "How did you find your way here?" I asked them, trying to feel for a lie. Moonsoor widened his eyes. "An alpha?" He said, recognising my command, and I nodded. Being an Alpha in Pictoria was a big deal. T

Jasmine.Returning to sleep was difficult after that vivid dream, so I opted to wash the stench of smoke from my skin. The dream lingered in the recesses of my mind, refusing to fade like a haunting melody. I stumbled to the bathroom, half-awake and disoriented, the remnants of the dream casting a surreal haze over my reality. The water felt refreshing as it cascaded over me, a feeble attempt to wash away not only the physical residue of smoke but also the unsettling images that clung to my thoughts. I didn't know if it would be wise to discuss this with anyone or keep it to myself. The dream was a vivid tapestry woven with emotions and details that felt too personal, too intimate to share. As the water swirled down the drain, I stared at my reflection in the mirror. Dark circles clung beneath my eyes, testament to the restless night and the disquieting dreams that had plagued my sleep. I had experienced vivid dreams time and time again, but this was the first instance where I would wa

JasmineJulia and I decided to divert our plans and pay the girls a visit instead. The mere thought of encountering Trevor left a bitter taste in my mouth. While I had initially consented, it was solely for a make-out session with him, not his friend. My frustration with Aeron fueled my decision to distance myself, to move on from the complicated emotions that lingered between us.Reflecting on my actions, I could now see how they might be perceived as foolish. In that moment, it had felt like a desperate attempt to escape the clutches of Aeron's influence. However, I was grateful for my failure because, deep down, I knew that even if Trevor had been sincere, I wouldn't have been able to reciprocate genuine feelings. As we strolled toward the cells, Julia glanced at me, a knowing expression in her eyes."I can understand why you'll pass on Trevor. I would do the same, really. Just so you know, Aeron took care of him and his friends quite thoroughly," she shared with a mischievous grin,

  • Dark Obsession: Taming His Demons   EPILOGUE

Five Years Later Aeron I sat in the midst of a garden of wildflowers in New Pictoria, a place that had once been a barren desert but now thrived and bloomed, thanks to the magical fire I possessed. The prophecy had unfolded, and my life had come full circle, bringing me to a point of perfect contentment. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of orange and pink across the sky, my eyes traced the playful scene before me. My twins, Ellie and Adam, chased each other around with unbridled joy, their laughter echoing through the air. A fluffy little puppy named Maxwell, named in jest to tease my Beta Mansoor, joined the playful chaos. Jasmine, wearing a serene blue cotton gown, approached me and took a seat beside me on the grass. I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the moment, a dream that I had once envisioned—albeit one that Stasia had invaded and tried to disrupt. Yet, here I was, surrounded by the laughter of my children and the warmth of Jasmine by my side. "

  • Dark Obsession: Taming His Demons   109 Keeping Promises

Jasmine The wedding day had finally come. Ironically speaking, my parents made sure it took place on the date we had originally selected. Even though I was pregnant, I wasn't showing yet, but I was excited. Since Aeron told me about the kings’ offers, I have been glad. It meant I wouldn't be too far from home. I was glad and nervous at the same time. My mother, sister, Zarah, Julia, and Margrette were with me while I prepared. Yes, you heard me right; Zarah, Margrette and I reconciled and decided to let bygones be bygones. It is great to have them as friends. Zarah wasn't as bossy or snobbish as she once was. In fact, she was the most fun person to have around. She was helping me with my make-up, something I suck at doing, and she was doing a good job. She told me she had always wanted a sister. I guess she got one now, and she would be an aunt soon. Aunty Rukky walked into the room with all smiles. Her twins were with her, and even though she looked a bit frail, I was glad she was

Nikolas I could not believe it was finally over. One month had passed, and we were still trying to fix the cities that were destroyed. Piotr and Miles remained in forest with their family while Jutros and Isbecs went to work on the cities under the supervision of our engineers. They were faster workers, so the building and cleaning were moving fast. We had a crazy encounter, one we would never forget, and we were glad we had come out unscathed. It took three weeks, but Rukky and Gabriel finally came through. It seemed my father-in-law planned to die on his own terms. There was none as relieved as Olsen himself. Apparently, the bleak future Rukky had seen was her coma. When I think of it, I want to laugh. King Mustapha had come with his citizens and left them in the vessels in Iceberg and Hill village; among the people were Mansoor's mother and sister. Of course, Stasia would bring them since she knew Laila and Mansoor were here already. Mansoor had taken his sister from their mother

  • Dark Obsession: Taming His Demons    107 Some Respite

Aeron Leaving the women behind, I carried Jasmine in my arms. I wasn't ready to deal with anything until I eased the tension within, assured myself and my wolf that she was okay, and she was finally here with me. The war is over, and there is no looming threat anymore. That she is my Queen, and I am hers for the rest of my life. I took her to my tent. A tent I hadn't slept in since it was erected, and placed her on the mattress. She turned to look at me, but I had run out of patience. Tearing through her clothes, I leaned over her, kissing and placed my finger in her cunt. I finger fucked her brutally, doing to her what my cock was about to do inside her while I kissed her. I wanted to swallow her and maybe take her breath. “Don‘t ever pull that kind of stunt again, Solnishka. Going off on an adventure without telling me," I said, releasing my cock by taking off my shorts. I spread her legs apart. Her heart was beating fast. I should be gentle, but I couldn’t. All my emotions were

  • Dark Obsession: Taming His Demons   106 Time Up

Aeron Stasia turned around to look at me and smiled as if she had been waiting for me. She did not look as old as she did last night. Maybe it was the trick of the darkness. She looked young. Did this woman ever age? "On time," She said and smiled at then eyed Mathias. "Interesting, there are indeed handsome men on this continent," looking at Mathias flirtatiously. "I don't do old women," Mathias said, and she giggled. "Trust me, you wouldn’t want to let go once you get a taste, but too bad I am not here for you; I am here for my king," she said and looked at me. "See, we can be together now that both obstacles are out of the way. Dark dream walker and the mad king. We can be together and use your fire to rebuild our continent," she said, walking seductively towards me. I would lie that she did not look good, but all I could see in my mind’s eyes was a grandma in sheer clothing. Not a sight to see. "Release my mate, and I will let you live. As you know now, your army belongs to

  • Dark Obsession: Taming His Demons   105 A True King

Aeron Following Ivory's completion of the markings for all of us, I approached the Jutro to share my plan. They had received thorough medical care and nourishing food, and the majority of them were now fully healed. As they noticed my presence, they greeted me with enthusiasm, but my sombre expression quickly dampened their smiles. "Stasia has ensnared my mate in a dream state, and I am compelled to venture forth to rescue her. In doing so, we will inevitably clash with the Isbecs, and I understand that some of us may not return from this battle. I realise it's a lot to ask. You may not know me or my intentions, but I assure you, my motives are not malicious. The Isbecs have ravaged our homes, murdered our kings, slaughtered and enslaved our people, abducted our children, and obliterated countless futures, all in pursuit of what was never rightfully theirs. It's time to rid our world of the menace that is Stasia and her fire-wielding, mad King, Mustapha. It's time to reclaim our fre

  • Dark Obsession: Taming His Demons   104 Won't Wait Any Longer

Aeron We were sitting by the fire in the morning, drinking tea, when Ivory approached us in tears. I knew then that something had happened. Mansoor tried to calm her down to make her speak, and she tried to compose herself. She was shaken with horror, and since I hadn't seen Jasmine with her, panic grew in me. "Where is my mate?" I asked, unable to control myself. Queen Aliana stood up, and King Nikolas did the same; they were tired, having stayed awake after the fight. "She won't wake up. She is trapped, and I can't get in. Stasia created a barrier," Ivory said, and we all abandoned what we were doing and headed toward the tent where Jasmine was. My heart was thumping in my chest all the while. I had suspected Jasmine was up to something when I returned and was told she was training with Ivory. It seemed plausible, but it felt odd; I should have checked on them, and I wanted to, but Queen Aliana stopped me. I should have insisted or snuck into the tent. I cursed within me. This w

JasmineI sat on the bare ground because I knew I needed to connect with the earth to pull on the Power of the Dark in Aquillonia. Every time I have been able to pull on the Power of the Dark effectively, I have been in direct contact with the earth, either grass or sand. Pushing the mattress to the side, I lay down on the sand and wielded myself to sleep. Everything was dark, and soon I was back in the tent, but I knew I was in a dream state. This was my dream. I could not visit the dreams of Stasia’s army individually. I need to drag their soul into my dream to eliminate them, and I need to do so before I go for the King. Gathering my strength, I began to move. I could feel Ivory's presence, but I couldn’t see her; it was as if she was in me, and we were one and the same. She was experiencing my dream, but I was the one in control. How was she doing it? I couldn’t tell, but I forged ahead.I was barefoot. I could feel the sand against the soles of my feet and the breeze against my

Jasmine My body recovered faster than I anticipated. It seemed I had powers beyond my comprehension, but there was an empty void in me. The sense of dread, loss and anguish lingered in my head. I couldn't quite shake off what happened at the gate. Rukky being stabbed by the witch. I couldn't stop blaming myself. If only I have moved fast. Gathered the momentum faster. Not allowing the poison to get the best of me, move as I should, act as I should, then she would be alive and well. I wasn't a fool. She had told me once that her future was bleak, and now I understood why. It was Stasia and me that undid her. A powerful woman who believed in fate and strived to bring out the goodness in the world had lost her life trying to save me. I could not forgive myself. So when I sat up on the mattress in the tent, I buried my face in my palm and wept. My hands were shaking. Rage and despair, a mixture unknown to me, became the only emotions I could feel simultaneously. "Jasmine," I heard the
