Alana's POV

I could not see Caleb's head anymore. It was as if he had just disappeared. Oy his shouts could be heard but even that sounded far away.

I tried calling out to Caleb but the rag that the dead warriors had placed over my mouth prevented any sound from escaping my mouth. All of my shouts and pleas were just muffles underneath the clothes. My eyes stung from the tears that were threatening to fall and my throat immediately went dry. The rotten stench of the dead warriors swept into my nostrils and filled my lungs, causing me to gag.

I tried to pull my hand from the dead warriors grip but they held on to me tightly. I could feel their nails digging into my skin and I yelped out in pain. I was surprised at how strong their grip was as I had thought that since they were dead warriors, they were all weak.
