Alana's POV"What do you think you're doing, Caleb?" I asked as I helped him onto a small stool. "Why are you dressed up in this armor? Don't you know you're bleeding?""I-I need... I need to g-get to T-titan," Caleb said as he tried to get up from the stool, failing with each try."Get to Titan?" I asked confused. "What for? Why do you need to get to him?""I need.... I n-need to get t-to the war," Caleb stuttered as he launched himself to his feet, almost falling over if not for my help. He pushed away my hand from his side and stumbled to where the belt laid. He then picked it up and began putting it around his armor again, groaning anytime it went around his belly."Stop!" I screamed as I grabbed the belt from him. "Don't you know you're hurting yourself? You aren't fully recovered yet.""I am s-strong enough to f-fight, Alana," Caleb said with clenched teeth as he snatched the belt back from me. "Strong enough to fight?" I half screamed. "What do you mean by that? Is that why yo
Caleb's POVI watched as Titan left Alana to the gate to meet with his warriors. I then proceeded to sneak into the weapons room as Alana's back was still turned against me.I slowly walked out from behind the weapons room, where I hid, and proceeded to the door. I had dropped the crutches behind so the pain that I was feeling before multiplied. Everywhere began spinning again and my head began to pound real hard. I held my aching head as I paused by the stairs to catch my breadth. The bandage around my belly was now soaked with sweat and I could feel a stinging pain as the salty sweat came in contact with my wound. I turned around to see if Alana had seen me but she was still staring at the gate. Slowly and carefully, I began to climb up the stairs, trying my very best to ignore the pain that was radiating through my body.I reached the top after much struggle and decided to rest for some seconds. Suddenly, from the corner of my eyes, I saw Alana turning from the gate, towards where
Alana's POV"You're doing what?" I asked with a frown. I just couldn't believe what Nixie was saying."I want to go back to the human world," Nixie said again, confirming what I had heard her say before. She sniffed before she continued, "I have to go back to my place. That is where I belong."Why was she deciding all of a sudden to leave the pack and move back to the human world? And why did she call their her place? Was she feeling uncomfortable here? Was anyone making her feel out of place?"Why are you thinking of going back?" I asked her. "Why do you want to leave? Is anyone making you feel uncomfortable? Is it because of your fathers death?""No," she said as she looked up at me, about tearing up again. "You haven't heard?""Heard what?" I asked. "Is there something that's been happening that I do not know about?""No, not at all," Nixie replied with a light painful chuckled. "Just that Jacob just got mated by the moon goddess today." "He got mated?" I hadn't heard anything abo

Caleb's POVI had heard stories, myths about the dead rising and fighting wars for the witches. It was a myth that I had for long taken to be just a myth. Now that I was seeing it with my two bare eyes, I had no other choice but to believe. The dead beings, some covered in patches of skin, some having their skeletons sticking out of their decaying skin. They seemed to be controlled by an unseen force as they just kept on walking, ignoring the people that were running helter skelter. I didn't know why they were acting this way."Oh, my fucking wolfsbane," I muttered as I stopped suddenly on the stairs. I just could not believe what I was seeing. "Dead warriors," I muttered. "Where did they come from?""Probably from Queen Zelda," Alana replied and I turned sharply to see her staring at the dead army, not showing any hint of fear. All that was shown in her eyes were just pure anger. "Queen Zelda?" I mumbled in confusion. "Queen of the witches?""Yes," Alana answered as she clenched her
Alana's POV"Holy shit," I screamed as I crawled backwards away from the door. The dead warrior groaned and growled as it pounded the door with its fist. The hinges began to splinter and I knew that the door was not going to hold for long. I looked around for what I could use to defend myself but all of the swords and spears that were there were all broken and bent.I turned my head to the door which was beginning to crack. I let out a loud gasp as I saw the sword that I had tried to use to dislodge the spear from the lock, still lodged between the door. I rushed to it and began trying to pull it out but it seemed to be stuck there. The banging was beginning to increase and get louder and, from the shadows that I saw dancing from underneath the door, I knew that the dead warriors had increased. "Dammit," I screamed as I pulled the sword harder. Now that the dead warriors were much, the door was not going to stand for long. The sword made a loud shing as it began to move out of the li
Alana's POVI gave a loud shout as I raised the sword in the air. All of the dead warriors turned their attention to me as they heard my cry. They immediately, without hesitation, started running towards me.As the Dead warriors advanced towards me, I felt a shiver run down my spine. I wouldn't lie, I was very scared. I had been trained by one of the best warriors in our packs at that time but I had never had the chance to show it in battle, talk more of using it against an army of the dead. I squeezed the handle of the sword that I was holding tightly and took in a deep breadth. I immediately gagged as what I inhaled was just the rotten smell of the dead warriors. Ignoring the call of Caleb, I advanced towards the dead warriors. I raised my sword in the air and began swinging at the dead warriors. Body parts fell left to right and multiple heads rolled. I began to feel the adrenaline rush as I cut down the dead warrior in front of me to pieces. The blade that I was hiding was not sh
