"Oh, so after you found out it was me, you were disappointed again and backed out? Okay, I see," Lea muttered quietly.

Something stirred in her heart. She felt a deep pain stinging there again. Ah, Shane was still the Shane she had known before. Rigid, cold and his words were as sharp as swords. Nothing has changed, she thought tiredly.

His slumped shoulders and the suddenly different look in his eyes made Shane regret saying that. But it had already happened, and he couldn't return his words. Yes, that's how rigid he is. I don't know how they can be together if both of them maintain their rigidity.
