I smiled to myself as I watched the triplets leave, knowing that my plan was working perfectly.

My daughter was their heir, and that meant that I would be made Luna. Everything was falling into place.

But then, I saw Ivory watching me, and I felt a shiver of fear run down my spine. She knew what I was doing, I could see it in her eyes. But I would not be deterred. I would become Luna, no matter what it took.

I sank down onto my bed, and closed my eyes. The guilt was still there, a nagging feeling in the back of my mind. But I tried to push it away.

I had to focus on the future, on what was to come. I had to be prepared for anything. And as I lay there, I knew that I had to start thinking about my next move.

I had to make sure that everything was in place, so that I could be ready when the time came.
