A Serious Threat

Daphne's POV

I heard a beep which only a monitor would make and I felt an heavy weight lifted from me, from the darkness that clouded my entire being a ray of light flahsed across and then suddenly pierced the darkness and made it dissipate immediately. My eyes fluttered up and I shut them at once as the amount of light that entered my eyes threatened to blind me.

"She's awake!" I heard a feminine voice declare.

"Are you sure?" A masculine voice asked.

"Of course, I saw her eyes open just now!" The feminine voice replied.

I groaned as a sharp pain pierced through my head, my eyes finally opened as my retina adjusted to the intensity of the light. My throat felt parched and unopened my mouth to speak.
