Chapter 139

Katherine arrived home, she pulled the car over into the garage and stepped out, it was already dark but the light from all around the mansion brightened up everywhere.

She took a deep breath and walked into the mansion, she was greeted by the maids who were already positioned at the door.

"Mrs. Katherine, would you like dinner to be prepared downstairs or would you eat upstairs?" One of the maid's asked her.

"My husband..." She passed her lips and quickly caught herself, she quickly called him her husband without thinking.

"Alexander, have you eaten dinner yet?" She asked and the maid glanced at the other maid before shaking her head.

"Ever since you left, he has been upstairs in the room and has not come to the door, we didn't want to bother him so we never asked him." She responded.

"Oh, I see, I will speak with him and inform you if we would have our meal upstairs or downstairs." She told her.

"Alright Mrs. Katherine." The maid lowered her head and Katherine made her way upstairs
