The doctor was a kind, old man. He had a colorful lollipop in front, which made Carlos smile and begin drooling. Carlos seemed to want the doctor to hold on to him.
Scarlett did her best to hold him steady and took off his pants and diapers, getting him ready for the injection. However, Carlos turned around to look at her in doubt, as if he was wondering what his mother was trying to do.
Scarlett noticed that the look he had on his face was the same look that Francis often wore. She was stunned for a while. She couldn’t help thinking that genetics had made her son in the shape of her husband– genes were such a powerful thing, she thought to herself.
