Silent Night

It's getting late. The atmosphere became very quiet. Lexi was sitting in one of the chairs in his father's treatment room. His mother, accompanied by the maid, returned home first while Arsene was watching the funeral procession of his boss.

Lexi stood up from her seat. Already, he was no longer concerned with what was raging in his heart. With thoughts floating somewhere, he packed one by one of his father's stuff. There's a big bag in there. Then, he put in the phone, the tablet belonged to his father. There were also some books that his mom brought for him. Lexi packed the book on the small desk, then put it in the bag.

There was bitterness that had filled his throat. His chest feels tight and crying would not reduce or change anything. Everything had to work out. Whatever was ahead, the man was determined to face it.

Lexi's tear defense dam collapsed when he saw his father's phone screen. A picture of him when he was a little boy in his father's arms.
