Quinn POV

As the time got closer to midnight, my body started to feel like it was buzzing accompanied by whispers in tongues I could not understand.

Dinner and dessert went smoothly. Mandy had gone above and beyond with decorations while I was outside with Derek.

My parents and Thomas all seemed to get along. No tension in sight. Close to midnight Kat showed up. “I wanted to offer help if I needed, sweet girl.” Cupping my cheek. I smiled in appreciation.
