Chapter Eighty nine

As soon as we got back to the mansion, everyone was happy to see Irene back, especially me. I assisted her to our room gently, careful enough not to bruise any of her healing injuries. “Thank you Damien" she said, lying on the bed. Irene moaned and hugged the bed as though it was a human. “I missed you" she chuckled.

“I have to go now, Raymond and I are heading to the office. There is an important file we need to get. Freshen up and have them prepare dinner. Don't go downstairs" I instructed her before walking through the door. Raymond and I drove to the office at 7pm. It took us twenty minutes to get the files I needed.

We got to the car after getting the file and drove towards a shopping mall. “What do you think I should buy for Irene?" I asked Raymond. Raymond pulled over at the garage and stared at me clueless. “She is your wife, boss, I can't tell what she likes and what she doesn't," he replied. I got out of the car and got a shopping cart.
