Chapter 73: Dear Stepsister

KEIRA’s POV

My heart was thumping loudly in my chest as I kept my eyes on my phone screen. I read the message over and over again. I was in utter disbelief. I read the message again, and this time, out loud for more clarity.

"Did you miss me, my dear little sister?"

Reading it out loud made it seem more real, and it frightened me even more. My eyes trailed to the sender, but it was an unknown number. My arms began to tremble. This was, no doubt, my stepbrother. How did he find me? And if he knew where I was, then this changed a lot of things.

My lips quivered as thoughts rushed through my mind. Where was he? How had he found my phone number? And if he had my phone number, then he must have my address too. All the blood on my face drained, and I went pale.

This was unlike anything that had ever happened to me. I was lost, unable to come up with a solution for this problem. My eyes trailed to the message again. The more I read it, the more anxiety grew within me, and the more my body tr
