***ZANE'S POV***I rode to the club anger puffing throw my ears, I had to kick myself to focus on the road, but as I walked into the club, my men knew what was up. Reaper joins me in my office. "Boss!" he calls out as I sit on the chair and he closes the door behind me. I pour half a glass of whiskey and down everything down in one gulp. "London is a liar. I confronted her, can you fucking believe she was going to run? Something she never does and when I tell her about the money, she tries dodging to the door. Bundles of money fall from her body," I explain. I pour another glass of whiskey but I swirl the amber liquid, watching it move from side to side, too fucking weak to drink it. "That's dangerous, isn't it? Tell me you didn't kill her, boss," Reaper said his eyes widening. "Hell no! She is alive. At least, that was how I left her at home, alive and untouched," I say. I wasn't going to count the few spankings she received on her round soft bottom. She deserves
***LONDON'S POV***The loud horns of a car jolted me as I blinked rapidly, trying to figure out where I was. It took a few seconds to find out because the fog in my head had cleared out enough for me to see the reason. New York, that's where the sign over the shed said. The bus had stopped at the bus station and everyone was scurrying out of it. I had slept throughout the journey and right now, I was hungry and still very tired. "Home!" I breathed out as I pushed out of the bus, I boarded a cab to a restaurant first.Ordering my food, I take it home. It wouldn't be a one-time meal, but that would do. I walked into my former apartment and the smell of musk hit my nostrils, I wrinkled them in an annoying fashion. The door wasn't broken at least, I am thankful, but it was locked. I missed my old house, I wonder if anyone had looked for me? The diner I worked for had probably found someone else to replace me. If I am going to stay in town, I will have to look for an
***ZANE'S POV***I can't believe it has been forty-eight hours since London left me. I don't know what to make out of her right now. I am so fucking disappointed, it makes me really crazy just thinking about it. My entire body freezes as I get a heavy thought pass through my mind. What if London is in trouble? I wonder. I have every one of my men on the streets looking out for her. I had stormed Micah's house and he had been surprised to see me shortly after he had been in my office. I had explained the problem to him, he gets me on every part on my last nerve as he started putting the fucking blame on me. Like for real. I hated having to remove my gun and point it on him but when I did, he stopped fusing and started finding a way to help me. At first, it was just a plain idea but when the mother fucker said he had a way of contacting London, I was struck to the bone. Micah had given London a phone, that was what he had been using to communicate with his s
***LONDON'S POV***Two Weeks Later. It has been two whole weeks since I started working at the club, and I have been serving drinks. It is better than mixing vodka and tequila behind the desk. Gianna had been good to me like a boss would to their employee and the rest of the staff as well. But about three days ago, strange glares from the men entering the club would make me feel really uncomfortable, and every time I clock out of the club, I will hurry home. It feels like I have eyes on me, I don't mean it that way, but I mean, Zane looks like someone who would set men to monitor me. I haven't heard from him as well, and my chest breaks into pieces because Zane hasn't looked for me. It is not like I expected him to be here. As I put on my jacket, I take the path down the road that leads to my apartment. I still felt those eyes hovering behind me. It made me feel truly uncomfortable.Taking the alley down the block lands me on a man who is really familiar.
***ZANE'S POV***I was restless for two fucking weeks and had just received a call that London had been found.I had the money ready with me, but a small police group from New York went with us. It would've been easy if I had searched her former home before, I was so hungover that I forgot London could make it back to New York and wanted to start afresh. Two men ran out of the building from the gunshots we made towards the building. Of course, every one of my men is scared of hurting London with a stray bullet. As we rushed to the building, I saw a door slightly open and guessed the men were from there, as I hit the door with my leg breaking it, I heard the littlest, gentlest ones that were the most horrible. She will want to frustrate you to the very end, but that isn't the sight that catches me first. There was a woman on the floor. I take that back real quick. That woman was mine. London was on the floor and as I glanced at her, she looked dead. I rush out
***LONDON'S POV***My head is pounding inside when I open my eyes, I am a little disoriented as I don't know where I am, or what I can even do to make this headache stop. I remember Bamba hitting me several times after I had tried to run away from him, it hadn't been successful, so, he had broken my arm. Trying to lift my arm, I find it difficult. I force myself to open my eyes, I stop forcing when it feels like my eyes are being glued. Am I dead? I wonder. The last thing I remember is the sounds of gunshots. There had been an open fire, and surely, I must have taken a stray bullet, thus, dying in the process. As I start crying, I feel a man's hand brush my hair behind me, shifting it away from my face. Even though I couldn't see the face, I heard the words, and I could identify it. "Hush, little human, you are going to be alright. The sedative still has an effect on you," he mutters out rapidly. As much as I want to fight against the damn sedative, I don'
***LONDON'S POV***When the doctor walked into the ward, I didn't quite pick up who he was until he spoke with Zane. When his eyes moved to my face, a small smile spreading those thick lips of his, he asked,"How are you doing today?" Huffing, I reply, "Apart from when I puked, I have been cool," I mutter. He nods his head, then, clearing his throat, he forces himself to say, "It must be the pregnancy hormones taking a toll on you. Once the first semester passes, you won't have this morning sickness again," he explains. My brain stops thinking at that moment and I look towards Zane. There is a shit-eating grin on his face and there is no doubt that he isn't aware of the fact that I was pregnant. It is obvious that they found out, even before me because they had been here. Was I ready to tell Zane the truth? No! He would have known of course, but this news is like the fastest blow in mankind and the mere thought of it is ready to press me with its weight. I look at
***ZANE'S POV***I know London is hiding the truth about her kidnappers, but what I don't know is why she would keep such a piece of vital information from me. If she tells me, I will make those stupid bastards get on their knees before they even know it. All I know is two men had abducted her, the fact that she had even started working to take care of herself all this time makes me want to kill whoever employed her in the first place. She is mine to protect, and I don't accept rough energy around me more than it already is. It was Saturday and when the guys told me that they wanted to take London out and make her day special, especially since she was back home and they missed her, I accepted. What she needs is a small distraction, but if only they wouldn't jeopardize the health of my baby in her womb. I don't think I want to know the sex of the baby. No, this should be a surprise, I want to be caught aback by the little baby London is going to give birth to. Jess
