Chapter 129

***LONDON'S POV***

I needed to convince Zane immediately. If anyone was going to face Michael, let the person be me.

In irritation, Zane walks out of the room, scratching his scalp as he says,

"I am not having this conversation with you, little girl,"

I knew I needed to give my husband some time, he needed to calm down, thus, I walked out of the room, heading to the door on the other side of the corridor.

I knock and a muffled reply asks me to enter.

"Hey, Micah," I call out as I slide into the semi-dark room, the only light, is the one coming from the TV.

It was more of Micah using the TV for light than for sound because the volume was turned off completely.

Micah's eyes meet mine and I see the tiredness in them. He stretches his arms out to me, inviting me to walk inside.

I don't hesitate, and when I snuggle up like a baby in his chest, Micah grunts, and I remember his wound.
