Those words rang in her ears, making her lose control. It was a simple statement but it was heavy for the heart to carry and in the next moment, she screamed and collapsed on the cold floor.

"Noooooooooo!"

Just right then, Da D,wei was passing through the lobby and he was going to his office. He just successfully finished a surgical procedure in another room and he was getting ready to go take a shower and change his clothes.

While walking through the lobby, he looked at the direction of Bai Zhen and saw how weak she was, while looking at the doctor

 She was looking as if all her life had been drained out of her.

Those things did not bother Da D,wei because he was already used to it, but seeing that weak girl standing there, something sparked in his heart. Something he had never felt for any other woman in his twenty ninth years.

He was one who relieved himself whenever the need be, with high class professional women, casually, but he never felt that way for any of the women.

"I don't get this!"

"Why her?"

Da D,wei kept on questioning himself and in the next moment, he heard a loud scream from her and, Bam!, she collapsed on the hard floor.

Immediately he saw that, he hurriedly went to her and picked her up, giving everyone the biggest shock of their lives.

"Get VVIP 1 room ready right now!"

The doctor became frozen at the spot, hearing his boss ask him to prepare a room that was meant for presidents, for that kind of a girl. He thought he heard wrongly and asked to clarify.

"Young master?"

"Are you deaf?!"

"You know I hate repeating myself Xiu Yunzu!"

Xiu Yunzu immediately fled for his dear life and before Da D,wei got there, everything was already prepared. Yunzu was still shivering with fear because they knew their big boss was the devil himself. But why was he helping her? That was one big question they needed to answer themselves.

Back in the VVIP 1 room, Da D,wei lay Bai Zhen on the huge, clean bed and he stood beside her, checking her pulse and drip fixed for her. He did all that without asking for assistance from his employee.

"What the hell am I even doing?! A total stranger I just met!" 

He could not understand himself one bit. While he was busy with his conscience, he was unaware that Xiu Yunzu was busy staring at him. In all his years in the hospital, he had never seen his boss act that way.

He was woken up by a dominant voice.

"What happened to her?!"

"Young master, she just lost her mother on the operating table"

"Hm! I see"

He looked at Yunzu disgustedly and barked at him.

"Get out!"

Xiu Yunzu quickly fled the room. He didn't want to remain there with him either. He opened the door, stepped out and shot it silently.

Da D,wei quickly turned his head and focused on the weak girl lying on the bed. She was so beautiful in his eyes. She had a fair skin, a slim build, a baby face and a straight nose. She was just so perfect and he didn't plan on leaving her.

"Very pretty!"

He kept on studying every inch of her body with his enchanting eyes. Bai Zhen was still lying peacefully on the huge bed, not knowing what was happening and suddenly, she opened her eyes and saw this beautiful man sitting beside her on the bed. She forgot about everything else and just kept on staring at Da D,wei.

"Are you awake now?!"

He asked her with a very bad hospital bedside manner.

Bai Zhen nodded her head in response. She looked around and saw she was lying on a very big bed and a spacious room and wondered how she got there.

"Pl... please sir, how did I get here?"

"I can't remember coming to such a room"

Da D,wei looked at her observantly and felt a sting in his heart.

"I brought you here. You are in the hospital"

Immediately the word hospital came out from his mouth, she jumped from the bed and landed her feet on the rugged floor. She immediately remembered her mother and what the doctor had told her.

"Ss...sir, are you a doctor in th...in this hospital?"

Bai Zhen asked him with a rather high tone unknowingly and she was shaking, with her eyes which were now red.

"Yes!" He answered with a cold voice as always.

"My mother, I...I...want to see her" Wu...Wu...Wu...She started crying and she subconsciously gripped Da D,wei's shirt forcefully.

"I...I want to hold my mother. Sh...she can't be dead. She can't leave me alone in this bad world. Please take me to her" *Sobs*

Da D,wei just stared at her with his emotionless face, but deep down, he was feeling pity for her. He did not really know why at that time but he just did.

He held her hand protectively, which he never did for anyone and spoke to Bai An the best way he could.

"Stop crying now, yeah? She is gone and you need to take care of yourself here for her to be happy wherever she is now"

He consoled her and she placed her head on his chest and cried more, staining his clothes. He didn't push her away, he just allowed her to cry more on him. But of course, there was one problem. He had started to feel something in a certain area and he tried all his best to suppress it.

After a few minutes passed, Bai Zhen finally stopped crying and she freed herself from him, not believing what she just did. She apologized immediately and her face flushed red due to embarrassment.

"I... I'm so sorry sir."
