Chapter Eight: Sudden Call At Home

Liam had the lawyer draft out a contract agreement between us. I knew he was not comfortable with having to draw lines between us but I had to. I was definitely not going to make the same mistake as I did in the past. I didn't set boundaries then. Didn’t know how to do it because I was blinded by the love I had for Nathaniel so I did everything he wanted me to. And now that I have the chance to choose the kind of life I want, I will choose the right way and do it perfectly.

The contract was a safe option and a way out of danger for me. Liam was my best friend, don’t get me wrong. I trusted him but I knew better than to put all my eggs in one basket. And I have to protect my kids also.
