2024-10-29 19:42:56Keith who had not slept for more than 10minutes per time in the last seven months was now sleeping and it was going into twenty minutes.
In his sleep, his life was gradually ebbing away and he saw himself coming out from his own body. He landed in another world where he walked in a beautiful garden with very lovely flowers and the rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky. He looked perfectly agile and handsome as he always had been.
Suddenly, he heard a thinly audible voice which appeared to be Kelsey’s. He shrugged and thought it was the regular hallucination he experienced back in the world but the voice became louder. He also heard three young children calling him for help and he looked around but could not find them.
He heard again "Kee-Kee, the boat is sinking" ….."Dad, help us, save us"
The voices were so intense but Keith struggled so much to find the people calling him.

As soon as the team on the ship sighted Kelsey from a distance, they deployed some rescue speed boats to go ahead and help her out of the water before it was too late.The rescue team came in the nick of time when her hands were now sliding off the debris of the boat. They jumped into the water immediately and caught her as her body was drifting downwards. They carefully dragged her frozen body to the surface and wore an oxygen mask for her immediately. Ian and his team immediately guided Kelsey who wobbled out of the cabin onto the main deck where they saw the helicopter right above the ship.Two rescuers climbed down with the rescue basket and shook hands with Ian and his team to thank them for the successful operation of saving Kelsey from the mishap. Ian and Kelsey then hugged each other and he promised to be with them in the US in a few weeks.The rescuers professionally lifted Kelsey who was too weak to walk properly into the basket and fastened her safely. They were then pulled up into the aircraft.Keith was looking down all this while with a huge smile and excitement on his face. The nurses asked for Kelsey’s urine sample and they took her blood pressure and blood sample as well. The outcome of her results was not good because of her anxiety level for the past seven months and she did not have access to a balanced diet.The doctor in charge attached the monitoring equipment on her tummy to monitor the babies and also check their heartbeat.He measured their level of growth and gave the amazing news that they were growing perfectly and he said that the amniotic fluid for Baby A had been broken.He also said Kelsey’s contractions were getting stronger and it wouldn’t be advisable to carry out a cesarian section because her blood level was pretty low.Fortunately, the first fetus was in the right position and head down while the other two were in an easy position for them to be manipulated in order to be delivered. Keith did a video call with Uncle Joey first. Joey who was at home was happy to see a call from him so he picked up immediately. He saw Keith smiling for the first time in a while and he too beamed after so long.“What’s up son, how you doing?” He asked“Uncle, see this” Keith said as he took the phone to quickly show him Kelsey and the three boys who were sleeping soundly.Joey immediately shouted “Oh myyy” and he burst into tears of gratitude. Keith also called Pappy Alan and Aunty Anna and broke the news to them. He also showed them the video and they were equally glad and looked forward to meeting Kelsey and the boys. Pappy Alan too was recovering well and Keith informed them that Kamala would contact them to move them to his house.Keith was very fond of Pappy Alan’s son Kaysen but he hadn’t been able to spend time with him all through the troubled period. When Kaysen saw his sister Kelsey in the video, he shouted her name in his baby voice “Heyo Kelchey” meaning Hello Kelsey. He clapped cheerfully as he had missed her for so long. Keith had to take the phone away from where Kelsey was because she moved slightly when Kaysen called her name. Kaysen began to throw tantrums that he wanted to see Kelchey. The elders of the house were anxiously waiting for the arrival of their kids and grandkids and they were all in high spirit and relaxed in the garden.All of a sudden, Coco, Kelsey’s dog started barking. She wagged her tail and jumped back and forth in the house.The elders knew that she must have sensed that Kelsey was close by which was correct because they were just entering the estate gate which was five minutes drive to the mansion.Shortly after, they heard the slight sound of vehicles entering the compound and they all got up in excitement to see them.Jeff who had forgotten that he was in a wheelchair was equally excited too so as he tried to get up, his right leg was too weak to move so he sat back on the chair. Kimberly and Kathy saw this and felt bad that they left him so they hurried back to walk with him when they saw that he was coming in his electric wheelchair.

Having been in each other’s warm embrace for a while without saying anything, Keith hugged his wife tighter and reminisced in his heart; all that had happened in the past seven months. He remembered the feeling of dejection that he experienced when he entered their bedroom on that gloomy day desperately hoping that he would find her in there but it was only her familiar scent that engulfed him. He then made up his mind not to go back to the bedroom till he found her and they would enter the bedroom together once again.Even when he needed to pack her toiletries for the rescue trip, he was too terrified to enter the bedroom, so he ordered the needed toiletries online since he knew the names of all the beauty care products that she used.Keith was glad that he was now able to enter their room again and his throat became very tight because of all the worries that had choked his heart. He helped her into their closet and Kelsey saw the new lovely set of clothing that were neatly arranged in one of her compartments so she picked a flowing floral one to wear.She thereafter gradually opened every cabinet in the closet to view all that she left behind and noticed that her wedding ring, diamond earrings, and wristwatch that she left on the dressing table were just as she left them. She changed her mind about wearing them because she felt she wanted to look plain on that day that turned awful. Luckily, it was a perfect decision after all and who knows what kind of trouble those expensive accessories could have put her in with the evil scar-faced leader.“Kee-Kee, she called.
