Melanie shook her head. She was no longer smiling. There was a serious look on her face.

"You don't understand. He really does like you. He likes you a whole damn lot. I never understood it before but I can now just how much he likes you. I don't think that I can even begin to comprehend how much he likes you. He prepared this room in just a few days. And he was so meticulous when he was preparing it. He didn't want to disappoint you at all. Do you still think that he won't have me killed if I dared to do anything to you? Just thinking about it makes me scared.
