I almost screamed, but when I saw a human stand to his feet in the water, I quickly calmed myself as the person defensively raised their arms.

“I'm not a monster; I'm Nicholazz,” he said as he got on the bridge and stood on his feet. “Hi,” he rubbed his hand on the back of his wet shorts before extending it for a handshake.
