I head into the clan house, into one of the guest bedrooms, and into the bathroom. I go to the sink, turn on the tap and splash my face… Once, twice, three times, I look into the mirror and see the spot that Seraphina had told me about. I clean all the blood up. There was a nice cut along my hairline. It wasn’t deep and Soren had already stopped the bleeding, so it was just a red line now.
I look down and splash my face once more, but when I look up again, I can’t control the anger that rises in me. I punch the mirror and slide down onto the floor; I pull my knees up, rest my arms across them and lay my forehead on my arms. I feel so guilty and so helpless. I should have come with her. She should have been under my protection... I didn’t notice anyone come in until a hand touched my head softly. I look up and see Seraphina. She always knows when any of us need her.

H POV It takes the sedative maker a week to get back to me saying my order will be arriving any day, that he had managed to make a serum that contained silver and wouldn't kill or knock out either a vampire or werewolf, it would just separate the vampire or werewolf from the human. The other good part about it is that it doesn't need to be injected. I can mix it with either his food, drink or even his blood and he wouldn't know the difference. The only problem I have at the moment is how to get just Phoenix to have it and not include Scarlett. A couple of days after I received the silver serum, an opportunity opened up for me to use it.
