BRING THE LIGHT

The door opened and he walked into the room.

"Boss," he called as he saw him lying on the couch

"Hey, where have you been? Didn't see you all through the night,"Eden said as he sat on the couch

"Oh, I went to check up on Marilyn last night and she was sick. There was no one to look after her, so I slept over" he said and Eden's eyes bulged

"What?" Pedri chuckled

"You.. slept over?" He asked with surprise

"Yeah, it's not what you're thinking," he said as he sat on the couch. "She was sick and both her friends were out of town. I couldn't leave her in such a condition. I slept on the couch though, not on her bed" he noted and they both laughed

"You've been doing a lot for Miguel lately and I commend you for that" Eden said with a smile and he nodded.

"So, how did it go with Jessica?" He asked

He let out a sigh

"We spoke and I think this is the end of the road for us" he said
