"Alright Dean. We'll be joining you shortly." Reya spoke into the phone before stuffing it into her purse. Then she faced Sierra who had just finished her meal not too long ago in hopes that they would leave soon. "Dean can't make it here so he asked us to join him at the casino."
"Where he works?" Sierra corked her eyes at Reya who shrugged in response. "Can I just go home already? I don't think I can make it that far. I need to rest and try to get myself started for the next day."
"Oh please." Reya brushed her off. "You just want to go home and sulk all through the night but that's not gonna work on me. Nora has been subdued by the doctors and you staying home isn't really going to change anything so I forbid it. Plus, the hotel's not far away from here, so let's go." Reya pushed herself up from her seat and Sierra followed suit.
Her disagreeing not to go wasn't because she had anything important to do at home but she'll be approximately ten inches closer to him all night and to make it worse, she'd be stuck with the two of them and she didn't want that. Her sister's condition had already broken her heart to pieces, she didn't want it to hurt more than it already did but Reya is very persistent. If she was against the president of the country in an election, she'd bet her card that Reya would emerge victorious, no doubt.
Without having much to say concerning the matter, she followed Reya. They arrived at the hotel shortly after and made their way through the lobby that led to the elevator. When they got inside, Reya punched the buttons to the top floor that led to the casino where the club and bar is also located. Sierra wasn't surprised that Reya knows this kind of stuff. Her boyfriend works here anyways and she must've come here to see him countless times.
"This place is hugeee!" Sierra exclaimed when they stepped into the bar, her voice drowning In the music that blasted through the stereos located at different angles.
"I know right?" Reya countered proudly. "Dean told me that the owner of this place is a business tycoon. I can only imagine the money he has everytime I step my foot into this fucking place. It screams money!"
They walked through to half crowded space and arrived at the counter where the bartender served drinks. Reya asked around for Dean while Sierra tried to make herself comfortable on one of the high stools.
"Does this pretty lady fancy anything for the night?" A bartender approached her stool from the other side and Sierra titled her head to the side in indecision.
"Can i get a shot of martini mixed with vodka please?" She flashed him a killer smile and he winked at her before whipping up her order. She had always known her way around drinks. Her father was an influential man in the country and at a point in her life, she was a budding, carefree teenager until life happened. Now, she's nothing but a young adult navigating her way through this preposterous stress called life.
"Thank you!" She whispered when he brought her order and she drowned the contents in one gulp.
"Slow down. You know that you can't tolerate alcohol." Reya primped in a concerned manner. "I don't want to babysit you tonight"
"Tonight's about coming out of the house and not sulking, right?" She asked and when Reya didn't respond, she ordered another bottle of tequila. She raised up the bottle for Reya to see. "Cheers to not sulking tonight and living life to the fullest!" She made a toast to herself and filled up her glass.
"Who knows, I might never get a chance to do this ever again so why not go all out now that I have the chance to?" Being out here reminded her of the life she once had and how it got destroyed. Now, she's straddled with two many burdens and it sucked. She hated it. She just wanted things to go back to how they once were. She would give anything in this world to have the life she had once lived. Was that too much to ask?
"I'll go get Dean so we can leave. I'll be right back in a few minutes Sierra so sit here and don't go anywhere, okay?" Reya informed her and she answered absentmindedly with a peace sign in the air before she stormed off. It's not like she had anywhere else to go in the first place. She doesn't even know her way around this godforsaken place so how could she leave?
Minutes into the night, she stuffed her stomach with alcohol. Each glass she took only encouraged her to take more. She thought about how everyone was doing okay with their lives and how hers had turned useless. She felt like a big giant party pooper that sucked the fun out of everyone's lives. The fun sponge.
Soon enough, the alcohol started kicking and it felt as if she was floating in thin air. Her eyes became blurry and she couldn't see properly too. She needed to find Reya before she passed out here. Sierra scanned throughout the entire crowd present but her so called best friend was no where to be seen. Damn that girl! She couldn't believe that she had left her for dead. She's probably going at it with Dean right to care about her now.
Sierra scoffed. Friends? they're never there when you need them. What was she supposed to do now? Going home on her own was definitely not an option except she wanted to suffer the fate of running into gangsters who might take advantage of her. Shit!
"Reya?" She called out in the loudest voice that she could muster. The stero being her biggest competition. The fucking device. Standing up to her feet, she staggered through the thick crowd. She bumped into a huge wall but before she fell to the ground, huge pair of hands grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer in an attempt to rescue her.
She purred in content when her nostrils caught a whift of his cologne. Whatever smelt this nice was divine and heavenly. She tried to pull herself away from his strong clutch but he only held on tighter. The damn bastard!
"Um... Reya..." She blabbed out incoherent words that even she didn't understand. Fuck it! And that's when it hits her that she's wasted. Why on earth did she even have to drink so much In the first place? She couldn't even hold a bottle down.
"Are you okay, Piccola?" A strong, deep masculine voice resonated through her ears leaving her mesmerized. What exactly is happening to her? How many glasses did she take? Probably the whole bottle since nothing seemed to make any sense to her at this point.
"Yeah..." She smiled through her drunken state as she tried to steady her staggering feet. She raised her head slowly in a bid to get a glimpse of her rescuer but she couldn't see his face properly. Was he wearing a mask or her brain playing tricks on her? And what's with the bulky looking men dressed elegantly in a suit? Was she at a wedding? Everything looked blurry and dazed through her eyes.
"No you're not." He leaned in and whispered to her ears causing her stomach to tie up in knots. Was this an involuntary action or the alcohol talking?
"Let's get you out of here." He went further to say. Still holding her up, he led them outside the bar while she rested her full weight on him. This night really wasn't going according to how she had anticipated it. Fuck you Reya!
"Please take...take me...to my best friend Reya." She burped loudly and laughed to herself at how silly she sounded. "She's prooooobably with her boyfriend whom I l-liked first but shhh." She placed her hands on his lips. "Don't tell her that otherwise she'd stopped being friends with me and I don't want that."He rolled his eyes tiredly through the mask. "And where is your best friend?" His voice came again. More steady and a lot calmer than the first words he uttered. She forced herself to look around and pointed towards the elevator. They got in and after muttering strange numbers to him, she pressed herself to his huge body that completely framed her small statue."You are one...one heck.." she hiccuped, almost perceiving the alcohol in her breath. "You are one heck of a huge guy. Look at all these muscles." She touched them in fascination. She exclaimed in shock and laughed to herself at her reaction. "I bet you hit the gym all the time, am I right?" She slurred helplessly. Shit,
Sierra groaned deeply when the second wave of migrane pulsated through her veins that morning which reminded her of her reckless drinking last night. Her lips were halfway parted as she tried her best to squint her eyes closed when the warm rays of the sun seeped through the curtains of the bedroom and hit her face through the covers. She mumbled incoherent words in her unconscious state as she gathered the covers. Turning to the other side of the bed, she slowly opened her eyes to take in her surrounding. That's when it hit her that she wasn't in her bedroom. Her eyes darted to the clock in the bedroom she realized that it was soms minutes past twelve. How did she sleep for so long? She jerked awake in an instant, pushing the covers off the upper part of her body as her eyes wandered round the classy and majestic suite that she has been sleeping in. "W-What am i doing here? M-My clothes..." She stuttered when she realized that she was naked under the blanket. Fear crept and built up
Diavolo gently tapped on the keys of his grand piano. He listened quietly to the melodic sound it produced as it filtered through the empty space of his music room. His eyes were closed and his head was laid back as he drowned himself in the soulful music that came as a result of his unwavering talent. Her face. Her hair. Her tiny figure. Damn, the way she moans. The way she was straddled underneath him, asking him to go on, to not let go, to push further. His brain kept on replaying those scenes from last night and for once, he wasn't irritated. If anything, he basked himself with every thought of her.It wasn't supposed to end up with him craving her again. It was supposed to be a one night stand. He was supposed to forget about her after that night like he always does but why wasn't he trying to forget? Why does the word 'forget' sound unpleasant and abominable in his ears?He doesn't have time for this so why was he giving it time? He had been up in this house ever since he got ba
"We meet again Miss Sierra Delavine and I believe that you already know who I am." He added, daring her to say otherwise, daring her to deny his allegations.Shit! That was the only word her brain could come up with at that particular moment. That was the only word she could think of. She was standing in the middle of a room with a strange man surrounded by ten hefty men and that was the only word her brain kept on playing on repeat? Seriously? She was supposed to be screaming or trying to escape but she was fixated at that spot where she stood, unable to move an inch.It was as if she was standing face to face with a masked grim reaper that had come to take her back to the underworld. How is he here? How did he find out where she lived? Or a more important question, what was he doing in her apartment this late in the night and on her couch? She couldn't have blabbed about it while she was drunk with last night or did she? If that's the case then what else must she have told him that
"As for the first question. I'm Diavolo." He answered, adjusting his mask a little. "For the second question, it doesn't take much for someone like me to figure out where you live Sierra and as for the last question, i want you to move in with me."Sierra laughed. She had no idea why she burst out laughing at this strange man's request but she couldn't help it. Her laughter was a mixture of nervousness and fear but still, she couldn't stop laughing. I mean, you don't get to see these type of drama everyday right? What are the odds that a strange man whom you had a one night stand with is in your room asking you to move in with him? Was it April fool's day already because she doesn't quite get the joke. Maybe it was a prank. Someone was definitely hiding in her bedroom with a camera waiting to pop out any moment from now to scare her and maybe tell her that she has been pranked for a new reality television show or something."You can come out wherever you're hiding guys." She cheered o
"So he's just going to stand there and watch us all day?" Reya asked Sierra in a whispering tone as both their eyes traveled slowly until it was fixated at the heavy muscled man standing at the entrance of her front door. He had been there all through the night and he hasn't moved an inch from where he stood. She was sure that he must be another person though because she would've sworn that they had switched roles at one point in time during the night. There's no way on earth that he was able to stand there that long. "He has been standing there all night." She whispered back, her voice taking a note of seriousness as she furrowed her brows heavily at her friend. She wasn't exaggerating. Devono, Debalo or whatever he said was his name must've asked him to stay there because she saw the man take that position after he had whispered something to him last night. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say that he was a full blown statue." Was he stalking her? Was he keeping tabs on her? He wa
"Breathe Sierra, Breathe."Those were the words that Reya kept on chanting repeatedly as they both scurried their way through the busy hallways of the the hospital in search of the doctor or Nora's ward. She had left everything she was doing the minute the doctor told her that her sister was in a critical condition. Luckily for her, Reya had taken matters into her own hands by driving her down there. She couldn't even think properly at the moment and if she had decided to take matters into her own hands by driving down here, she would've been done for. It would've been her funeral instead of her sister. Just why on earth does bad things always happen to her?"Doctor!" Sierra hollered at the middle aged man who just walked out of a ward that resembled a theater. He was reviewing some papers but he handed it over to his nurse almost immediately. "Nora?...my sister...how is she?""Have you tried to reach out to your father yet?" He asked instead, his gaze staring down at her pitifully. S
"The surgery went well and Nora is recovering just fine." The doctor informed Sierra with a pleasant smile on his face. "We've moved her to the Intensive care unit to monitor her progress and see how well she's responding to treatment. Hopefully, she'd get better soon so that she can be discharged." He added."Thank you so much Doctor." Sierra whispered gratefully, her hands clasped together in deep appreciation. Her sister was out of danger and it's only because of him and how he had helped them so far."I should also commend your efforts Sierra." He said, adjusting his glasses that framed his face. "You made it happen so good job. If you hadn't stepped up, we would probably be singing a different story but I'm glad it didn't come to that." He said with a placating smile.Sierra forced a wry smile. If only he knew what she did to get that money. If only he knew that she had sacrificed her freedom and possibly her entire life to a masked monster whom she barely knew just to save her s
Sierra couldn't believe her ears. Touch herself? What was he? An animal? What sort of psychopath makes such requests to a woman and expects her to go through with them simply because he asked? Who does he even think he is?"I'm waiting." His voice jerked her from her thoughts and rattled her up. Well he would have to wait for an eternity because she would never touch herself. Over her dead body. He might as well just shoot her to the brain and watch her bleed to death in front of him."I'm not doing that.""It's not like you have a choice here." He answered. "Besides, I'm not asking you. I'm telling you and that's the huge difference. It's not a request piccola, It's an order."She scoffed feeling insulted. It was one thing to drag her away from her life and bring her here and it was another thing for him to request that she acts a porno simply because he wants to watch it. Request or not, he had no right."I want to rest. I've had a long day and to top it off, I'm tired." She complai
They were grooming her. That was the only sentence Sierra's brain kept on chanting repeat. They were grooming her for their master. Was this the era of slaves being sold to their masters because they were really going all out with the whole preparation thing. They had bathed her and almost scrubbed her skin dry. They washed her up in scented perfumes and wore her a red lingerie that had lace designs and adjustable shoulder straps with a bow detail and a low V neckline. The garment flowed from a fitted top into a floaty skirt. The lingerie had a slit that ran from her stomach down to the upper thigh with an opening that revealed her breasts. They took great care of her as though their lives depended on it. Well, he had threatened them earlier on so if they don't do it then he would have their heads. How were they able to survive in this place. She would've run mad if she was stuck here with that masked demon."You're ready." They announced when they were done. She snatched her eyes fro
"We're here!"Sierra heard the loud but firm voice of one of Diavolo's men forcing her to snap her eyes open. In her fuzzy and confused state, she looked around to see Diavolo next to her scrolling through what seems to be a magazine. He didn't even spare her a single glance. Not that she even asked him to anyways. It took her a minute to realize that it was already night time. Just how long has she been out? Come to think of it, he was the reason why they were so late at night. After he forcefully made her agree to go with him, they have been on the road because somehow, he had a lot of businesses and meetings to attend. She had almost lost track of many stops they had made before she fell asleep. A normal person would try to apologize but she doesn't see that happening with this man at all. Well, in all fairness, he wasn't a normal person was he?With a light groan, she rubbed her eyes a little aggressively than intended and ran her fingers through her hair that has already been dis
"Do you really have to go to work today?" Sierra asked Reya who pulled down her coat from the rack to wear them as she trailed behind her. She wasn't having a good feeling about being in the house all alone while Dean and Reya went about their daily business. She felt like a prisoner and it's all thanks to that bad man who's out to get her."Can't you take today off? Please Reya?" She pleaded desperately. Her voice filled with dread that ran through her entire being. She didn't want to act selfish and she knows that requesting something like this from Reya is selfish but she couldn't help it.It's been three days since she was brought here and although she was happy that he hasn't been able to find her, she still couldn't shake off the feeling that he was still looking and will one day show up here unannounced. Deep down she was hoping that he wouldn't and that he would get tired and give up eventually but even she knows that it wasn't possible. He won't accept defeat so easily.Somet
"She ran away Diavolo." Luca informed me. "She isn't in her room. She must've escaped through the window without anyone seeing her because sadly, the shutters are open and she left her phone deliberately as a souvenir." He threw the phone on the nearest couch and swiped his hands across his face in utter frustration. "The little she devil.""I expected her to." Was all he said in response to that statement, shocking him. "It was bound to happen sooner or later don't you think?" He asked before rising up slowly to his feet. He doesn't know why but the little gimmicks and party tricks she just pulled made him a little curious for some reason. "I mean what would you have done if a strange man showed up in your house and requests that you move in with him unannounced?" He asked but silence met his question. Diavolo was somewhat thrilled. No woman has ever tried to run away from him before but this one just did and right under his nose for that matter. It took a lot of guts and he'd give
Sierra intentionally sat down on the edge of her bed. It's been ten minutes already and she still hasn't packed yet. She knew that she had given him right over her but that doesn't mean that he could show up in her house and force her to leave with him. She was still worried about Nora and she's yet to hear back from the doctor concerning her sister's case so how could she just leave? Why couldn't he just understand that? And what's the part about her being naked and not needing clothes? Was he trying to say that she would be seen by everyone in his mansion without clothes? Was that part of what moving in with him entailed? What then happens after that? Was he taking her to his place because he had other plans for her? Would she be used by his surbodinates as well? Are they going to sleep with her too? Was that the reason why he said that? The more she gave his statement more thought, the more it terrified her and filled her with dread. He was going to kill her. Reya was right. Why el
Sierra woke up at exactly six-thirty in the evening. She rubbed her eyes and stretched out herself on the bed to regain some sort of composure. Today was probably the longest she had slept all her life without having to think about her problems and why her life was miserable. Nora was finally okay and if everything goes according to plan then she would also be discharged soon. She felt like a huge burden had been lifted off her shoulders but at the back of her head, she knew that this happiness she was experiencing at the moment was short-lived. It just wasn't over yet.The sudden reminder came with anguish and a little fear of the unknown. Shaking her head vigorously, she pushed the dreadful thoughts at the back of her head and left it there. She would bask herself in the present and leave the the things she couldn't control to the future.Just as she was about to roll out of bed, her vibrating phone rang out, disrupting her movement. With furrowed brows, she reached out for it but h
