★[Fergus POV]★

As I entered the living room, I pulled out my phone and dialed Morpheus' number. He picked up after a couple of rings.

"Hey, Morpheus. It's me. I need to talk to you about Bethany," I said, getting straight to the point.

"Sure thing, boss. What's up?" Morpheus replied.

"I think we need to step up our efforts to capture her. She's been evading us for too long, and it's time we put an end to this," I said, my voice firm.

There was no denying the chemistry between us, the way we had always seemed to gravitate toward each other. And now that we had finally crossed that line, there was no going back. But what did that mean for our working re

"He had this look on his face, like he was ready to fight or something. So I got up and started walking away, but he just kept following me."I frowned, putting together a sandwich for Jayden. "Did you try talking to him? Maybe he just wanted to ask you something."Jayden shook his head vehemently. "No way, man. He was looking at me like he wanted to hurt me. I didn't want to take any chances."I finished the sandwich and handed it to him, watching as he took a huge bite. He chewed thoughtfully, then swallowed and continued his story. "So I started running, and he chased me. I
