The night turned to day and finally, Sebastian gained consciousness. Smith Wayne as soon as opened his eyes ran to see his son only to find him wrapped up in heavy bandages, his head and left shoulder were covered with heavy bandages. His left arm had a plaster on it because of the injury, the doctor even said it was a fortune that the fragments didn't go deep into his skin and touch his veins otherwise his arm could be wasted.

The first thing Sebastian knew after waking up was seeing his mother sleeping on the stool beside his bed. His father was also sitting on the couch reading the newspaper, he took a deep breath gulping down to moisten his dried throat. He felt several strokes of pain hitting his entire body.

"Mom." He whispered earning Smith's attention, he instantly ran towards his son waking Serena in the process.

Serena's maternal instincts kicked in as she started crying after seeing his eyes open and stare at her. He gently pulled her in his arms with his free uninjured arm.
