Chapter 8 : Misty's Aftercare

While I was waiting for lunch, I decided to lie there and explore the room with my eyes. Though I was exhausted, I played it a bit much prior to Misty heading out, so technically I could get up and look through things.

The risk was way too high for being caught, though, so I avoided doing so. I sat up, shaking my head and regaining focus. At that moment, I was naked, which caused me to blush. I'd be given clothing before I returned to my room again, surely.

I refocused on the area.

The room was typical of a gothic, punkish woman. Posters of popular alternative bands were on the walls, and some plushies were strewn about in the corner. It was charming to see vampires with something other than sex toys, I admitted to myself, which helped them be more human. A bonus given that certainly wasn't the intent, as she had no one to impress in this room aside from sex.

That aside, I looked toward her dresser, noting a decent collection of dark make-up, a brush with some strands of her hair in it, and bottles of perfume. A small mirror was attached to it, though thankfully it was angled in such a way that I couldn't see myself in it and subsequently embarrass myself in my own mind.

Nothing substantial caught my interest.

Alexander's words hung in my mind, warning me of both Misty and Remus. She had mentioned him again as not minding 'what happened'. I winced, reaching up and wiping a tear that crawled down my face, this one not of pleasure by any means.

Here I was wasting time, lying there and just drowning in all the pleasure while my sister was still missing. I scolded myself for being mad, though, because the plan was actually going well thus far.

I'd gotten plenty of information to piece together, and that would help me in this whole mystery. Lucy would want me to take it slow and steady.

I noticed something in the corner of my eye. Turning my head, I realized there was a box in the corner, inconspicuous. I had to sweep my eyes over the room about five times before spotting it. But, indeed, there it was.

As my eyes fixed on the circular sigil plastered on there, I felt a chill rush down my spine. The box itself was grey, but the symbol was circular as if carved of obsidian and set there. In the center of the circle was a blood-red flame.

Right then, the door opened, and I resisted the urge to jump. My head turned and fixed on Misty, who'd entered the room with a plate that held a juicy burger and shoestring fries. Distracted immediately by how hungry I was, I smiled at the vampire, who returned it kindly.

"Here you go, pretty pet," she practically sang, placing the plate on the side table with some napkins next to it. "Careful not to spill stuff, but don't panic if you do. I'll take care of it. Want to watch something with me while you eat?"

I nodded and grabbed the plate, letting it rest on my lap while Misty reached over to grab the remote, switching the television on to some nature documentaries.

She said, "I heard you enjoy biology, so figured you might like this. It's a common interest for the both of us."

I couldn't help but beam at her. My cheeks flushed red as she leaned against me, her eyes fixed on the television as a hawk lunged for a rabbit. A bit on the nose for my possible situation in the future, wasn't it?

I sank my teeth into the burger, giving a happy hum as the delicious juices filled my mouth. It had just the right amount of grease, seasoned to perfection. Probably the best burger I'd ever had, too. The fries were also something to sing with praise. Now, I was nice and full.

A warm aura emitted from me, melding with Misty's, no doubt. Her perfume was strong enough that the scent of cherry blossoms clung to her just as strongly as when I scented her during sex.

After spending some time in silence watching the documentary with Misty, thinking about how Lucy would enjoy this too, I was ready to go back to my own bed.

I nuzzled into Misty and whispered, "I'm tired, may I please return to my room?"

I was really playing off this 'cute little human' angle well, but it was clearly working. Misty turned her head and reached up, gently moving some strands of hair from my face and tucking them behind my ear. Then, she gently patted me on the head with a smile.

"Definitely, darling. Let me help you there." With that, I was in her arms and headed back.

She placed me in front of the entrance, helping me stand a bit given I was a tad wobbly. I confirmed to her I'd be alright to settle in on my own, and she opened the door for me. She blew me a kiss and gave me a tiny wave by wiggling her fingers before turning away and closing the door behind her.

All set, I settled into my bed, considering a nap. First, I wanted to put some pieces together.

I took out my phone and scrolled to an app where I often kept my notes, starting a new document and biting my lip. I focused on the screen, typing out 'cult' and mentioning Misty and Remus there.

After hesitation, I typed in how it seemed like Misty was an odd choice to be in a cult. She acted pleasant as if she genuinely enjoyed having me there as a pet. Plus, if said cult was meant to be hush-hush, why would she tell me about it? Maybe she figured learning more was inevitable for me.

Speaking of which, I closed that note app for now and opened up a search engine. I typed in 'vampire cult' unsure if I would get any results. In images, I saw several symbols; a serpent about to strike in the center of an aquamarine triangle, a verdant triangle with an eye in the center, and an upside-down triangle with other shapes poking out of it to help it appear more like a goat head.

Why were cults so obsessed with triangles?

These had nothing to do with what I was looking for, I assumed, based on that box Misty had in her room. None of these symbols matched up, and some of them were no longer active. Those that were in such small numbers that they didn't seem like a threat. Plus, nothing was mentioned regarding negative beliefs toward humans. It was all conspiracies that had nothing to do with vampires coming out of the shadows.

Bummer. Well, where the internet wouldn't help me, more sleuthing would. I had them hook, line, and sinker as to me being some dumb blonde goth here for fun. Sure, they may assume I had book smarts, but not street smarts. I needed to continue playing careful with my questions so no one would actually catch on.

With that in mind, I resolved to rest for now. I wondered how effective my searching would be during the day but dismissed that. The vampires weren't as distracted during the day and often wandered the house looking for… well… me.

They could come to my room at night if they wanted something, but that would hopefully be rare. Thus far, it didn't happen much. I covered my bases by running the shower with the bathroom door closed so that if someone did check, they didn't discover me snooping around just based on that.

No, they'd need to be like Alexander and all of his creepiness.

Speaking of which, I wasn't sure what his problem was, and though I secretly adored the idea of him taking me, I didn't think he'd bring me any leads. His avoiding me was just fine, but I had to hope he didn't catch me and ask me twenty questions again. I certainly wasn't going to answer them. Secrecy may be my only chance to find my sister.

I settled into bed after running the shower and drying my hair. The darkness of my roots was showing again, so I'd need to re-bleach my hair. In this place of luxury, I was sure they had many supplies. Would I have time, though? I hoped not, because I wanted to find Lucy as soon as possible and then get out of here.

Still, if I ended up having a frustrating wait period, I may as well take care of that. Grooming could be a decent enough distraction for my nerves.

Pulling the blankets up to my chin, I closed my eyes, considering my number one culprit. Nicholas was sexy and wonderful in bed, but there was something sinister beneath all of that bad-boy vampire demeanor. Misty's question and his answer to it confirmed as much. I scowled at myself, wondering how exactly to handle this. Technically, I could seduce him. That sounded like a reasonable plan to me, and probably quite easy.

Therefore, the next day I got out of bed, made myself as presentable as possible, and scrolled through my phone for Nicholas's number. I sent out a text saying, 'Hey, you busy?'

He replies, 'Not too busy for you, pet. Need something?'

I let out a breath, excited at the prospect of being taken by him again. He brought so much damn pleasure, but again, that was a distraction. I rolled my eyes at myself, yet again annoyed at where my thoughts went.

Regardless, most importantly, I could pick at his mind and get more information on what happened to Lucy.

'Are you hungry? Your bites feel so good, and you treat me so well,' I sent. 'If you want to take a bite today, you can.' Honestly, that wasn't a lie.

I was concerned with the lottery system and just how frowned upon it was to deny vampire advances that I may be put into several uncomfortable situations. In reality, the vampires here cared deeply for their 'pets'. Leading to yet more confusion as to why Lucy vanished. No, she couldn't have run off. Especially since the one who probably had the most interest in her was right here.

My phone vibrated, and I glanced down. 'On my way, darling.' My heart skipped a beat as my fate was deliciously sealed. Again.

I licked my lips, took a deep breath, and sat on the bed. My clothes were folded neatly and set on top of the dresser. I resolved to be naked when he arrived so that he could have as much fun as he wanted. He had been impressed with foreplay thus far, so these pesky clothes getting in the way of information wouldn't do.

I may have been annoyed about how much my body responded to him, but at least I was using it to my advantage.

A knock came on the door, causing me to blush. I partially closed my eyes and stretched out on the bed, purring, "Come in." Some strands of my hair fell into my face, selling it even more.

I'd give the biter exactly what he wanted, and in return, he'd unknowingly give me answers to some seemingly 'random' questions.

When he did this, he leaned over and began to lap the blood slowly, the wetness of his tongue caressing every nerve of that patch of skin. I shuddered, whimpering softly before him. Things were going to escalate quickly, I felt, and I needed to find out more before I got myself killed.I stared at myself in the mirror, wincing at the ever-darkening circles under my eyes. Ever since I heard about the Cult of Ares, my mind has been clouded. I played my cards right and didn't appear suspicious to Misty, at least as far as I knew. We'd fucked a few times over the past few days, and she always treated me with respect. I couldn't tell if it was all an act, or if she just didn't know about the cult. Who knew? I had no idea what was in that box, either. Perhaps a human skull? Cults did things like that, and if this one was a vampire cult aggressive to humans, it may be the case there. Nicholas hung out with her a lot, so I suspected he played some part in the cult. My heart clenched at that idea. He was actually quite caring. He spent plenty of time on aftercare and ensuring I was alright. Well, I wasn't going to accomplish anything by just sitting here in my room

Here I was once again, caught by a vampire breaking the rules. If this was Alexander, I was absolutely done for.I held in a scream as I was dragged off into another room in a matter of seconds. I covered my face with my hands, gathering my bearings and taking in a deep breath. When I lowered my hands, I fixed my stare on none other than Nicholas, who was staring at me with a decent measure of confusion. Softly, he asked, "What are you doing exploring after dark? It's dangerous, you know." He loomed over me, causing me to shudder.Realizing that what he was doing may be stressing me out, however, he took a few steps back and just rubbed the back of his neck with a frown. "Sorry for startling you. I should have probably said something in the halls, but I'd rather just talk in here. Some people here are really adamant about the rules, to the point where you may get hurt if someone finds out you're breaking them. Not from me, though."I nodded, taking a deep breath and steeling m

Nicholas returned from the bathroom coming to cuddle. His woodsy cologne was overwhelming as he crawled into bed and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into his chest. He nuzzled into my neck, unable to help but give a few teasing nips with his fangs, which admittedly were a bit distracting.I closed my eyes and exhaled softly, feeling the urge to just relax and fall asleep here with him. However, I had an objective, and I needed more pieces to this puzzle. Still, my mind, for just a moment, focused on how kind he was to me following sex. In the past, I'd dealt with people who didn't really stick around to care for someone who was pleasured. Cuddling was an important part of intimacy for me, so I was delighted these vampires did such a thing. The back of my mind, however, screamed for me to be careful. Year of luxury or not, I was prey in the eyes of these formerly mythical monsters. I wasn't sure how relevant that cult was to Lucy, but I knew Nicholas was. She could be dead b

"I don't think so," I replied quickly, then closed my eyes, giving a yawn.I did my best to will my body language to tell him I was too exhausted for him to continue. Either I was dead here and now, or he had a heart and would actually fall for it. Well, it wasn't exactly a lie. I was definitely tired, running on adrenaline now after all of the strain I'd been in tonight. Would I actually get sleep if allowed back into my room? Probably not. But it would get me away from Nicholas, which was what I needed right now.I felt Nicholas's stare on me and waited for claws to sink into my flesh, and not in a fun way. That, or teeth against my throat would rip rather than just bite. I had to hold in a scream when I felt arms wrap around me and pull me to Nicholas. His voice said in my ear, "Sorry, this conversation is stressing you out. Let me get you back to your room, alright?"I almost collapsed with relief as he carried me back, not sure if I believed my luck. Was it luck, though?

  • Curse of the Spotlight   Chapter 14 : Her First Orgy

After a day of thought and soft sex, I made up my mind to put the exploration on hold for a week. Not only was I overstressing myself, which was no doubt impacting the mission, but Nicholas was incredibly suspicious of me. I could ease the tension and de-stress by relaxing for a week, then returning to it later. The next morning, I got my fancy clothes on and decided to take a walk around the mansion. I really wanted to go outside, but that was strictly forbidden without being accompanied by a vampire. Therefore, the courtyard was off-limits during the day. I peered through some window curtains, examining the yard and smiling to myself. Lucy would have loved it here for sure, prior to her vanishing, anyway. There was a menagerie of all different kinds of birds, hopping around and playing in the birdbaths set up by the vampires.Statues of various animals, like lions, wolves, and bears were set up for the atmosphere. The area was surrounded by a pine forest, which I watched sway

I was right. No one bothered me as I went through the mansion at night. There was moaning from several rooms, reminding me of the orgy and causing me to blush, but it didn't distract me from my mission.I licked my lips, shoving the thought of wanting more of what I experienced to the back of my mind. While the sheer, raw lust that'd been involved in that entire activity felt like nothing I'd ever been through before, it was a means to an end. Memories like that would be lovely but fade.My sister still had her entire life to live… if she was still alive. She had to be, right?I made my way down the halls even further, at this point knowing the route by heart. I passed by the room I'd already explored, dismissing it as unimportant. I doubted they'd add much of anything that would be of interest to me following my sleuthing there. The scent of a mixture of cologne and perfume hit my nose as I passed by a few rooms, but soon enough that faded. "Given you are still here and up to no good, it appears I've caught you instead of Remus or Misty this time. How many times have you snuck out since we last spoke, hm?" Alexander growled.I shrugged my shoulder away from him, that fear rushing through me again. The smell of his cologne washed over me, causing me to want to melt right here and let him do whatever he wanted. Not the most productive of thoughts at all, which caused me to let out a low groan. I said, "You're going to preach to me again how unsafe it is walking around at night, is it? If you're so angry, then why don't you do what you claim the cultists would?"I was growing bold at this point, tired of being sniveling and scared on the ground. Learning about The Vicious and what the cult wanted to do with them was frightening. Something he knew about, as a matter of fact. A little voice in the back of my mind reminded me of what he was and what he could do. I needed to keep this burst of bravery in check. Alexand

I left Nicholas and Lucy alone for some time to themselves, wandering down the halls and heading back to where I knew Alexander was. A few hours had passed since I'd been in that room, given I'd fallen asleep in that chair. After all of the help I gave everyone and all of the movement involved, time had been chewed through significantly. When I passed by a window and opened the curtain, I noticed the sun was setting. A few minutes later, I arrived at Alexander's room and knocked on the door. "Come in," the vampire said.I listened, entered the room, and looked around, smiling at all of the shark decorations Alexander loved so much. Then, I looked toward him. Thankfully, his skin was no longer an angry red as it had healed up considerably since I'd been with Nick and Lucy. "How are you feeling?" I asked, prompting him to shrug. Even if he was healed well, he was exhausted and somewhat out of it like the rest of the coven. His eyes swept over me curiously, and eventually, he rais

Everything was a blur as I helped with healing procedures, using my training for once. I hadn't needed to at any point before, but after a gigantic vampire battle, unfortunately, it would be needed now. Many vampires had been mauled by The Vicious on the loose. I didn't ask questions yet, that would be for later. People were sent to their beds with instructions to rest and feed. Vampires could heal if they had energy, which was low right now. Sort of.I offered my blood, which most declined, but some drank out of sheer desperation. Those vampires began to heal, and while I grew dizzy once again, I knew it was the right thing to do. I really needed more blood in my system, though. Would I restore that by feeding? I'd eaten Remus entirely, which helped a lot. It allowed me to give the blood that I did to help the other vampires heal. Finally, I detected the scent of someone that made my heart flutter. 'Alexander,' I thought to myself, turning to walk down the hallway and giving a

A familiar and very bad scent washed over me right then, causing me to frown very deeply. I was grasping all of these new sensations still so much that I really couldn't pinpoint them. All I knew was that I felt my throat closing in anxiety as I glanced sharply to my side. Without warning, I stood up, and let out a low growl from the pit of my chest. Where the fuck had that come from?!I stopped, contemplating this as I saw something bolting toward me from the woods. It clicked seconds later that Remus had survived Lucy's attack and was making a beeline for me. Alexander had listened to my demands and was in the shade right now. There was no chance, therefore, for interception. We were both caught off guard. I shrieked as I was tackled to the ground, fangs sinking into my neck as Remus began to maul me mercilessly, quite as Lucy had with him. I jerked and squirmed, unable to do much as he did so. However, during this, arms wrapped around him and pulled him back. I hadn't taken

I was floating in a beautiful garden, of sorts. As my back touched the ground, I sat up and rubbed my head. I recognized this as a place from my childhood. I wasn't in control of my limbs, but I was seeing through my own eyes, coming to realize this was some sort of memory. I felt myself smile and turn toward a little girl frolicking in the garden. A giggle keeled out of me as the sun tickled my cheeks. This dream was lovely. I myself was just a little girl, the vague screams of memories from the present day only a pinprick in the back of my mind.My sister was here with me, approaching a rose garden and admiring them. The scent of spring billowed all around us as blooming flowers and maple trees. Gorgeous vivids and gold painted the areas coming from the plants as Lucy and I played in the garden behind our house. She gave a soft giggle as I hopped over to her, looking up toward me with wide eyes. I was about ten years of age right then; when times were much better. Before every

Right now, I could outpace him, but he probably had more endurance, which may be my downfall. "You want to know what it's like to truly be a pet?" Remus snarled out, weaving a cackle in with his words. "Humans are lesser. I will put you in your place. You may not like it, but you're not meant to. After all the trouble you caused, you need to be punished."If this language was coming from Alexander at the right time, aside from the 'lesser' and not liking it part, I may have been turned on. The Vicious's voice was Lucy's. After having listened closely to the sounds she made, and how her voice melded with her screams every so often, I could tell it was her. However, I knew that I needed to keep a clear mind and couldn't break now. This was my chance. Something happened during Lucy's attack, and Alexander was gone. I needed to go after him but suddenly got an idea. I turned to go rush off into the woods to find him when I froze. The squelching noise of the bat monster tearing flesh was all I could hear now as Lucy did her work.I turned and stared at the dark figures, those red eyes the only things gleaming. My entire world was once again just pain as I burned through the rope. The chanting around me waxed and waned as the crackle of flames taunted me, reminding me of what I was doing here and now. I needed to burn at least part of the rope so I could get my wrists free. Thankfully, Remus didn't tie the rope so that it was holding my forearms together, but rather just my wrists, crisscrossed on top of one another. Tears streamed down my cheeks, and I sincerely hoped no one was watching me do this. I was in full view, after all, but I think Lucy distracted them. As a matter of fact, the clanging of chains got louder, as did the erratic nature of the monster's screeching.Chanting turned to shouting as I realized they may be losing control of her, which was just great.
