Morning fell in all it's glory, bronze and violet pastels mixed with the happy orange poured through the pellucid looking clouds wandering fecklessly in the new born sky. Golden threads of morning light peeked through the blinds filling the ambient space with warmth and positivity. It caressed the tear stained face of a girl crouched in a corner of a small chamber, stress lines prominent on her forehead contrast to her once baby like tranquil moon face reflecting a fresh bloom rose in the mist of the woodland.
How calm and serene her mind was and now havoc has wrecked her life. Yesterday, she cleaned the entire fourteen rooms of the palace, cooked dinner and washed the pile of dishes in the sink. When no shred of energy was left in her body, she was fed a meal only half stomach being excused as this is the amount of food you must eat in evening. She can't protest since she was threatened to put the life of her brother at stake if she didn't comply.
Her back ached with the intense strech of muscles, doing the load of work all at once caused her muscle sore. She receeded nonchalantly to the servant's quarter with heavy steps, tired eyes and numb heart. The stabbing pain spearing through her body incessantly was the muteness of her husband towards the disrespect bestowed upon her since she stepped in this palace as the wife of prince. How come a prince's wife treated as a servant and he has no idea about it? Or maybe he acknowledges but chose to ignore since he doesn't concern his mind over what happens with his wife, maybe it's her problem and not his!
He didn't even call or message since their wedlock. And what's most ironic is that his wife doesn't have his phone number, information about his stay and also hasn't completely memorised his facial and bodily features...the wedding seems like a preplanned cage!
Tears pooled in her doe eyes seeing her ruffled hair, smudged mascara and puffy face manifestation of the brutal wicked game played by her destiny. Maybe the series of torture will continue till she is bonded to him in the holy matrimony. She can escape, right? No, her powers as a royal member is ceased inside the four walls of the mahal. She is still prince's wife for the locals and outsiders yet they can only witness their future queen when she steps out of this massive gate...but it ain't viable.
Her throbbing nerves jolted her out of the disruptive slumber. She rubbed her eyes, adjusting to the light in her room. Her eyes transpired the state she was in, she slept in the bridal gown in a fetal position on the dirty cold floor. How could she change when she wasn't given a second to breath. She had to indulge herself in the household chores in the same esemble.
She heard the footfall approaching near the west wing where her room was at the farthest corner of it. 'Madam, rani sa has asked for your presence near the pool area. A maid appeared in her room and briskly left after speaking like a robot fed with AI. She stood numb for a moment before unwinding her stiff muscles to get ready to serve this palace. Afterall she's the brand new maid here!! She stepped inside the bathroom for a quick shower.
Her hair was still soaked in water, few strands sticking on her fresh face. She wrapped a red sari around herself, applying bindi and vermilion on her parted hairline. She looked pretty like any other bride yet she felt dejected and lonely. The vermilion didn't mean anything now, more like a promise that he'd cage you with it forever. The gold chain with black beads that hung around her neck started feeling suffocating instead of giving her butterflies in her stomach. She strolled out of her room, her anklets tinkling, bangles clinking whenever her arms swayed in the cool breeze blowing through the giant windows. Ah, how pleasing the sound is! But did you ignore the mute heart craving to yell, craving to be heard?
She placed the pallu(free end of sari) on her head in a gesture of respect though her mind sat with a signboard 'F#ck this motherf#cking respect'. She can't get even a strand of hair plucked from his brother's head, that unconditional love and purity their sibling bond had. She paused reaching the stairs, queen stood near the railing of the terrace darting hard stares in her direction. Ignoring those ugly stares, she climbed to the top, walking towards the frame busy in enjoying the site of the morning sky brightening the whole city.
'Rani sa, you asked for my presence?', she replied briefly gazing at the eagles soaring the sky of svamgarh. 'Hm..did you eat anything?', she was taken aback by her words. Has she struck her head somewhere? How come such vicious lady care if I ate something or not?
'No need to be shocked. You need energy to work', she curtly answered turning around to face the shocked woman. Saanvi mentally facepalmed, how can she be so dumb to assume she cares for her!? She only cares about the fact that work should be done at any cost!! You die, well I don't give a damn f#ck!
'No', saanvi's voice was clipped, lack of warmth and interest to reply. She nodded sprawling on a pink ivory, reaglly carved chair signalling her through her sapphire ring clad index to sit on the opposite of her on yet another vacant chair. They both sat in silence, staring at each other. One's gaze was fierce and intense, other's was befuddled and doubtful. Another stroke of brisk air blew the strands over her face kissing the blossom now and then.
'Have it!', queen spoke sliding a plate full of pink macarons in her direction. She too bit one of these, dramatically smiling while chewing it, her eyes isn't moving for a flick from her face. She slightly frowned yet took a piece and bite into it, savouring it's delicious sweetness...'Have as much as you want. After you're done eating, clean the pool area!'
'She choked yet swallowed it somehow. Tears pricking her eyes as she started coughing badly. Whole pool area? The pool is bigger than her room!!! She'll probably pass out cleaning the mucky water. She stuffed 4-5 of these, being almost starved since yesterday. Only few morsels kept her burning stomach calmed to an extent to let her sleep.
After a while, she proceeded near the pool area built on the edge of the terrace with chlorine water, skimmer net, a pool brush, vaccum hose and head and a telescopic pole. Tucking the pallu around her waist, she started removing the algae grown on the standing water with the skimmer net. She has to be careful as the saree was long enough to tangle in her feet and she could possibly trip into the deep water. the pool is around 3.5 metres deep and she don't know swimming.
She successfully cleaned the skimmed layer on the water, pouring the gallon of chlorine into it. Everything was provided to her by a maid whose only job was to familiarize her with the palace, not to do chores as she was already entitled for it.
Adrit was working on a laptop sitting near the window of his chamber. It straightly faces the terrace so the sunrays directly hit the glass pane. While working, his gaze fell on his sister in law waltzing around on the terrace with a pole in her hand. His eyes widened and it didn't took second for him to realise who sent the poor woman near the deep water.
He frantically ran upstairs bolting towards the figure busy in cleaning. 'Bhabhi(sister in law)!! What are you doing here? Don't you know how dangerous it is to stand near the pool, that too in saree!!?', he almost yelled at her though his intention was only to warn her, he was somewhat scared about her safety in this palace. Her body stumbled at his sudden voice but before she could leap into the pool, a pair of hands held her shoulders preventing her from splashing into the metres deep gaping thalassophobic waters.
Her heart started palpitating in fear as her mind turned blank. She was about to get drowned...! The loud thumping sound was the only sound audible to her ears apart from the blaring whistle blowing in the back of her head. She stayed frozen, sightly tilted towards the pool and her muscles froze in extreme trepidation. After slowly regaining her breath, she closed her eyes heaving shallow yet quick breaths to clam her disturbed mind. Nothing happened, it's alright...she whispered to herself slowly unlatching her hands from his arms that she clutched in hurry.
'Be careful bhabhi, if you sink, no one will come for your rescue!', he spoke maintaining a small distance between them. His face was furious yet voice laced with concern. He's the only man in this house that respects her and give off comforting aura.
'Why?', she asked rubbing her hands on her arms as cold air caused goosebumps to erupt all over her exposed skin. 'Because the pool isn't made of glass. On top of that, it's secluded and no one is allowed on this part of terrace except for me and my brother. How come you even thought of standing so close to the edge?', he was basically scolding her for her silliness though he wasn't in position to do so. He was younger than her and also lower in position to scold her like that. But he was scared to be frank but she didn't mind.
A smile lingered on her face witnessing his worried countenance. Unaware of the pair of eyes watching the duo with evil smirk laced on vile lips.
Pale skin, frail body, eye bags under ones captivating deer eyes. She is still a piece of bud, pure and ravishing, elegant and maybe too fragile for human's rough touch. Beauty she is yet the radiance and shimmer from her eyes long gone, concealed in the shady cage of this imperial property. Her guileless, innocent and vulnerable eyes screamed to break the invisible chains of marriage and let her once again soar the boundless sky like a free bird, yet she her wings are clipped and she can't roam freely anymore...like she used to in the golden remembrance of the bygone days. One year has passed in blur, not for the helpless soul that hasn't spent a day without drenching the cold floor beneath her with the emotions that kept flowing like an unstoppable current. Loneliness, disrespect and physical abuse, everything she went through with lips sealed. Two months ago, she was thrashed in an inhuman way, twenty five times with a whip, left to starve and dehydrate herself for two consecutive
A faint rumble broke the muzzled silence. Dark green hue of the hedges shone in grey radiance as the moon peeks through the navy, dark blue guazy clouds like a cotton candy drenched in shades of grey, sky freckled with countless shimmering stars. She sat on the lush green turf, legs folded to the chest and head resting against it, the mesmerizing sight of the morning was sucked by the gloominess that prevented any light from reaching on the vast streched lawn speaking of horrors of nature and potraying the harrowing emotions that coincides with that of the suffering soul.Life would've been far better in destitude than being caged in the royal walls that looks too appealing to blind the day dreaming creatures from listening to the silent bellowing that are trapped in these walls. If heard with pure devotion, maybe healthy minds can get traumatized. She ignored the hushed footfall approaching the crouched figure near the artificial pond, her reflection apparent in those undulating ripp
Pearly glow covered the morning sky with dazzling sun casting it's over wordly rosy hue across the newborn stretch of eternity. Calm soothing breeze caressed the enervated soul bathing in the warm shower. She after an year finally got to feel the warmth of the running water on her raw skin. Yesterday, she was asked to shift in one of the royal chambers without any verbal protest, she obviously obliged to that but one question struck her mind. Why so much generosity all of a sudden? Saanvi woke up prior to her usual routine after a pretty rough night. She retired to her chamber late in night around 3:00 am and it's currently 5:45 am early in the morning when she's having a bath. Tossing and turning on her fluffy and cozy bed in her chamber didn't helped her with the sleep as it was far away from her sullen eyes. She got mentally drained and the throbbing in her head isn't lessening even a bit. Maybe a herbal tea can help? She turned off the shower, carefully draping a towel around he
He stared at the tempting beauty, comparing her to a coffee cup that after using, he'll most probably dispose in some bin. Afterall she isn't worthy enough to have a place beside his bed and in his life. His inquisitive gaze roved over her milky back, his unstrained sexual desire bubbling to caress it with his raw flesh. To remove the remaining shreds of fabric, springing from the desire to see her naked. Naked underneath him, begging to take her!The virile prince walked near his sleeping beauty with predatory gaze, his hooded eyes fixed on the alluring mermaid laid on the silk sheets. The effigy of innocence, stiff, unmoved, lighly snoring in candied bliss.Tracing her neck with his cold fingers, a deep vicious smirk formed on his lips. 'Fuckable!', he murmured gliding his hands furthur to the crook of her neck. Cinnamon and honey evaded his senses as he dipped his face near her roseate lips. He stopped noticing her eyelids flutter for a swift second before going inert, not moving..
Her caramel satiny gaze roved across the torquoise blue bottomless waters, concentric platinum rings beaming in the grasp of these jubilant rays, rippling waves tossing around carefree like a toddler, every wavelet felt like the subtle note of euphony filling the crater formed in her heart with some warmth, radiance...Divinity.Balmy ambience drew her inquisitive attention as she peeped through the tinted glass, the dazzling skin of the colossal water body casted a mystic spell, grappling her mind, her eyes never leaving the magnifient sight of the sparkling crystal lapping waves. The sweet fragrant smell of orchards filled the entire black Lexus LS where she sat near the window, mindlessly staring outside the trees passing by, her gaze stuck on the placid scenery. Gentle breeze that doesn't whisk through the silent and cold corridors of the palace, it was this free air she was breathing, smile transparent on her face as it was her first visit outside the majestic walls under an year
Saanvi POV:The boat ride turned omnious for me. My body exhausted after shedding tears but then he held my wrist and forced me to sit on the boat with him. I wasn't a bit comfortable sitting beside Daksh who glued a tight smile on his lips, formality much. He's certainly putting on the fake demeanor of 'concerned husband' for the sake of his prestige, a shallow one. He is not the man he potrays himself to the outside world, he's countenance is deceptive. The way he gently held my hands in the entire ride made others view us as 'ideal couple', the one I disagree with and his mother too who kept glaring at us, incessantly.'What are you thinking?', my eyes widened noticing the familiar man entering inside my cabin, unannounced. He locked his gaze with mine, watching me through my reflection in the antique mirror. He paused for a moment, scanning my back from head to toe, his intense gaze burned my skin. That's when I noticed I'm only in my lacy nightgown that barely covered my thighs.
A darker shade of raspberry red tainted the glassy cheeks of the unravished beauty, not desired but when she accidently stole a glimpse of the stark naked, profoundly ripped and tattoed back muscles of an indeed affluent man, a prince and CEO, his royal blood so wealthy and intimidating to barely not get affected. Her face flushed witnessing the bare bodied smoky skin of the devil, her breathing laboured, erotic, quite sensuous and seductive as she tried to grapple her lost focus..her intense reaction spoke of her oversenstivity and shyness the way she cascaded her curled lashes trying to hide the creeping blush! The rolled towel crinckled in her tight clutch, palms clammy as she took timid and hesitant steps towards her stripped husband, the pile of clothes discarded in a corner didn't missed to catch her timorous glance as she gulped anxiously, maybe it's not the right thing you're supposed to do at this mid night hour!, her mind rather alarmed her subconscious but his command was
With no shreds of light in a dingy room was a woman tied to the chair. Her hands were tied with cable ties, feets shackled with stout dangling chains, feeble cries ruthlessly muffled by a dirty cloth shoved deep in her mouth by none other than her kidnapper. Her stomach retched due to the fowl smell of blood like copper and rust, nauseating. She frantically ran her eyes in the dark room, observing her eerie surrounding with a sense of terror crawling deep under her flesh, fear apparent in those expanding pupils. Her eyes went blurry and throat parched with the lack of hydration, how did she end up here? She thought she was dead! As she stressed her mind to recall the incidents that happened the previous night, a nerve wrecking pain grappled her body propelling her lashes to get sogged in fresh hot trails of tears trickling down her bruised cold cheeks. She relived the scarifying event when he hit her barbarically with an iron rod when she attempted to free herself from his robust gr
I was despondently heading towards the lounge area when I sensed someone's shadow, towering over my head, just behind me. I turned around and I felt as if my eyes are deceiving me. I finally beheld her face before departing. She was breathing heavily, gasping and all drenched in sweat, her hair all messy and sticking to her face as if she reached here, running a marathon. Being too overwhelmed and scared, I forgot to ask her permission and crashed her into me, tightly clutching her dainty body against my chest. And she too, complied by not pushing me away, this time. After a short while, she shifted a little, indicating to break the hug and I did, freeing her from my smothering hold. That's when I noticed the saree she was wearing, the one I wanted her to wear at the event but she had refused to accept anything from me. Typical she and her queen attitude, well I respect that attitude that's why I am alive.Taking one deep shaky breath, she started shouting or rather roaring at me, imp
I looked myself in the mirror. The red georgette saree perfectly hugged my curves. With fine intricate designs imprinted on the smooth fabric, the stud earrings overall made my appearance look extremely sophisticated, exquisite and maybe enticing? The event was not the only thing, I am getting ready for. There's something more that matters to me a lot, at least before I take any firm decision in my life and choose whether I live with my past or move on, completely. I haven't read the contents inside of the envelope but since our relationship hasn't completely dissolved in the way it should, I have decided to meet him in person and sort everything out. The one thing that always was always a negative aspect in our lives was the lack of proper and in depth conversation. It was always either an unfriendly and cold encounter or no words exchanged for days. This honestly requires a lot of courage for me to face him after not seeing him for so long, maybe an eternity, well that's an exagger
' His eyes held a divine pull, weirdly shackling me to his hold,Unchained I was physically yet captive in his dark world 'The following day,Saanvi's POV:I was about to end my shift when a familiar figure walked inside my cabin with a toddler in his arms. The one year old babygirl, Inaya, a lookalike of her father whom I met a week ago, inside the hospital premises. The encounter was quite unexpected and truth to be told, I went slightly anxious seeing him at my working hours. Since, after the court hearings, I haven't had any coincidence to meet or interact with him, eye to eye. The baby was much of a surprise to me.A beautiful surprise. I've recently being blessed with the title of being aunt to two adorable angels even though to my in laws, I'm officially a divorcee. No one except Nandini, my sister in law, knows this secret of mine because the separation papers, signed never actually reached for the trials and the judgement hasn't been passed yet.'How's her runny nose now, s
A week later Somber night, a masculine figure rolled out of his sleek SUV, parked in front of an abandoned and desolate apartment complex. Black aviator glasses complementing his trimmed beard and overall domineering appearance in brown tuxedo over velvety Armani shirt, hiding a long scar running through his chest after spending three consecutive years behind lock up with inmates, bully and crazy maniacs. His ravening footfalls echoed in the silent corridor as a bunch of armed men advanced through the cramped hallway, following the formidable shadow in order to safeguard him from any potential attacks and threats, the desolate place, a dwelling to countless hazardous pests and toxic contaminants, filled with malodolorous smell lingering in the smothering environment, damp, cold and humid. With one robust push, the metallic door slammed open, revealing a moribund body chained to the walls, stained with ugly patterns of blood splashes all over the surface. 'Is he breathing, still?', t
The following morningIt was still dark and cloudy outside when Saanvi abruptly woke up from her slumber. Her eyes were swollen and face puffy after the rough evening. So much has happened yesterday that she couldn't get over it. Firstly, she encountered a creepy man at her shop that immediately left after disclosing her identity in a threatening fashion, leaving the bouquet on the counter. Secondly, she was sent a notice regarding the study loan. Thirdly, she received a call from the hospital regarding her mother's critical condition. And lastly, she has to pay rent the following week for which she has no money. She slid off her blanket and made her way towards the balcony to witness rosy hue of the hidden sun. While the darkness was still subduing the light with all it's effort but in the end, light will penetrate no matter what, spearing through the dreariness. Wish it could happen in her case too.The rhythm and harmony of the morning air, the fluttering leaves and strutting pigeo
He was sentenced to three years in imprisonment being found guilty of abuse and misleading and hiding crucial evidences regarding an ongoing case of a minor girl being harrassed by the man, now being pronounced 'not guilty' and framed by the court. Whilst stepping down the staircase, he saw her standing in the rain with a black umbrella on the side of the lane, the scene pretty much hazy and unclear. He stood watching her stoic face, completely numb and expressionless. Exactly, how he saw her inside the courtroom while the judgement was passed against him. He didn't deny any accusation, the conscience was culpable for crumbling her soul. 'Aren't you going to say anything?', he softly asked from a distance. She shook her head, closing the space between the victim and his cuffed perpetrator.'Instead of saying anything, I want to present you something. This is a divorce letter, an unpleasant and bitter conclusion of our failed marriage. This will forever remind you of how sometimes, fe
The turbulent sky of Svamgarh grew leaden and darkening, overcast with ash grey clouds, loured, roaring and thunderous. An ephemeral serein drizzled down on the heated terrace and soon after, the heavy down pour began. The soft mizzle emanated an earthy smell of soaked soil, the dewy petrichor that gradually permeated in the soothing and hushed ambience of the twilight, a sublime and unparalleled blend of lilac and orange, tranquilizing the troubled and anxious state of a woman, leaning against the steel bars with her drenched saree sticking to her wet curves, complementing the dewy texture of her supple and lithe skin underneath the gauzy silk. The puddles, waterlogged, plinked tenderly each time the sparkling beads of rain dropped intermittent kisses on the unmoving waters, spawning ripples. The street was nearly empty with silent commotion, only vigorous pitter pattern reverberated on the concrete lane. She was lost in the cold rain, faint swishing of winds murmuring back tales of
That late evening,Soft gleam of yellow scintillating lights fell on the pristine face of Saanvi standing among the mass of guests, influential and opulent, busy conversing among themselves and relishing the falling night, the moon shining a little red, today. They, specially the elderly ladies were deeply indulged in gossiping about some rumours flying around the corner regarding the newly engaged fiancee of Advik, a famous model and television host, Neha Sharma, the only daughter of a renowned business man, Sandeep Sharma and his wife, Meena Sharma, a lawyer by profession. She being their sole heiress, everyone's attention was drawn towards the couple on stage. An alluring charm wrapped around their charismatic personality, however the royalty dominating the wealth and prominence.'They were secretly dating for the past seven years. Saanvi's POV:I inhaled a sharp breath, regaining my lost composure. His sharp gaze paused at my nervous face, zooming into my expressions very keenly. Tightening my fists, I peered into his piercing eyes, deeply engaged in scanning my finest activities as if awaiting to spot something off about our unprecedented collision.'You had been mumbling something in sleep, something like where must it be? Were you looking for something in here?', my heart beat escalated would be an understatement. I literally panicked internally though my poker face could've manage to conceal the internal turmoil of my mind.'Did I really blabber in my sleep? You heard everything, don't you?',my face turned ghastly white as I felt myself nearing every second to my own death bed. My end is going to be this brutal and this soon, I never thought my destiny could be this merciless!! He stood by an array of expensive Cesare attolini, calm face, arms folded across his chest as he was inspecting my faltering courag
