Emma’s P.O.V
Robin held open the door to his secluded country cottage for me as I grinned. Up until that point, my evening had been wonderful; it had been even more thoughtful and attentive than usual, taking me to my favorite restaurant and filling me up with delectable food and pricey wines until I was full and my head was pleasantly muggy. Robin had purposefully avoided telling me the reason for the celebration all evening, only implying that he had some exciting company news to share with me.
The food, the wine, and the expectation that after he told me the good news he had, we would go through to the cosy living room and his sweet talk made me smile as I took off my coat and kicked off my shoes. Soon, we were going to be wed, until then, I never let him touch me.
He brought me a goblet of fine brandy as I sat down in a plush armchair. He then went to get himself a large whisky and sat across from me.
"Is there any good news?" I asked. He looked happy.
"Well, I have some good news about that." He was smiling and I loved that smile.
"You mean. You've found someone to finance?"
"That's exactly what I mean. The company's safe, Emma. Lord Aris had agreed to finance." In the name of Aris I stammered for a moment but then I shook my head because Lord Aris was the uncrowned king of the Mafia, while Aris Johnson must be fighting for survival after being released from that painful prison.
"Oh, wao?" I gasped. "That's wonderful news! However, how did you get him to agree?"
"It wasn't easy.” He replied smiling. “He drives a hard bargain, but then he made a deal that I couldn't refuse.”
"Oh, you're a genius!” I was thrilled and elated. "But what was the deal? I heard that he is a very ruthless man. Did you meet him?” I was curious. I always hear about him but never met him.
"We had an agreement." He replied softly, "Now it's all settled and the money is in the bank. But I need your help.”
"Yes, tell me.” I smiled, looking into my lover's gleaming eyes and nodded firmly.
"Actually, he wants something in return, and I had no choice but to agree." He hesitated for a moment.
“What does he want?” I was confused. What did I have to do with it?
“He wants you, Emma.” He stopped and looked at my shocked face. I looked at his face and laughed uncontrollably. I know he must be kidding.
“Be serious, tell me what he wants?” I barely controlled my laughter and asked him. I know that it must be a joke. I think that he will surely say now, he was joking, but no, he was still serious.
“He wants you and I agreed.” He repeated the same line and I felt that my heart stopped beating. For the first time in my life, I was speechless.
He read the fear and anguishes in my dark, staring eyes and his face softened.
“I’m so sorry, Emma," he said gently, "However, you did say that you'd go above and beyond for me, and you know how much money you need. You earlier questioned me about how I had attracted Lord's financial support; he had made me an offer I couldn't refuse. I had to bargain because the company had one asset that I really wanted. I had to accept his conditions in order to save the company. Emma, I hated having to tell you this, but you were the asset he was looking for, and he would accept nothing less. I was powerless because he wanted you, honey. He was speaking in a soft tone and I stared up at him whom I consider my everything, my partner, my lover. A chill of sheer stark terror turned the blood in my veins to ice water.
I quickly backed away as the truly horrifying ramifications of his words began to sink into my spinning mind.
“How could you even think of doing this to me? You are selling me just for your business. This is the company for which I risked everything. I sold all my property and handed over the money to you. Whatever you used it for, I never asked. But now you’re selling me out to save this company that was built on my own money? How can you do that? You are a vile, greedy person.” I was tired of shouting. It was a terrifying feeling that I had risked everything for him, who was selling me to a stranger.
"You don't understand. I had to do it. It was the only way to save business. I saw a chance to keep the company going and took it. I don’t know why he wants you, but if I hadn't agreed to his terms, he would have closed me down. I had to do it, dammit, I had no choice. If there had been any other way but there wasn't.” His eyes softened again and he stared deep into my tear-streaked face. He cupped my face in his hands.
"I really am sorry, Emma," he whispered. "I love you, but I had to do it. I know you did a lot for me. I will remember this. But I can’t lose that company. . I must depart now, but your handlers will arrive shortly and transport you to your destination. Don't judge me too harshly, eh? You know I needed that money. So, honey, be brave and simply do what they say, and you'll be fine. You really will."
He sighed heavily and rose to his feet; I beseeched him as he turned and walked to the door, my mind numb from the horror of the situation. A horror that grew deeper and more terrifying as the door closed behind him and I was left there alone. The sound of the door closing jolted me awake.
“Run, Emma, save yourself.” My mind boggled me and I quickly turned to my purse. He had forgotten in his excitement that I used to have a key to that apartment. I quickly got into my car, ordered the driver to drive fast and held my head in my hands.
Till today, I consider myself the luckiest person in the world because I got whatever I wanted. I know I have done many bad things which I feel sorry for, but I did them all on my father’s orders. I always used to love to deceive, to achieve a goal like getting some sensitive information or to seize property, but Robin is the person I have truly loved. I met him about two years ago. We fell in love with each other and started living together. I had blind trust in him; I knew he would never betray me. He supported me after the sudden death of my father. I blindly trusted him; he sold all my property and started a company of his own. I never questioned him and today he made the deal for me.
One by one, I started remembering the faces of all the people I had cheated on. The most prominent face among them was that of Aris. I know he loved me but I just did what my father told me to do.
“Why did you do this to me?” I remembered when he was roaring and rumbling and I was laughing arrogantly at his condition.
I was so engrossed in my thoughts that I did not know what was happening around me.
Sometime later, the car jolted to a halt. Not really awake, I called out, "Driver? What's the matter? Why have you stopped?" but there was no answer.
Grumbling under my breath, I pushed open the door of the car and stepped down on to the road. It was extremely dark, no lights anywhere around, even the lamp of the cab seemed to have been blown out and I peered around in the gloom, wondering what the trouble was and where the driver had got to.
With no warning, strong arms pinned my arms to my sides and a thick pad of cloth clamped over my nose and mouth, a sickly sweet smell filling my nostrils. The sudden shock made me suck in a deep breath and the drug filled my lungs. My eyes widened as soon as my eyes fell on the person standing in front of me. He was a strong, muscular masked man.
The drug-soaked cloth was tied loosely over my nose; I heard the low chuckles of him. After that, darkness came before my eyes. I passed out and my body went limp in their arms.
Emma felt something niggling in her stomach when she woke up from her drug-induced sleep. She automatically tried to move to relieve the pressure, but for some reason that is still a mystery, her limbs did not comply with the commands from her confused brain. She fought feebly for a while, but after her mind had cleared, she finally realized the full horror of her situation. Her limbs were unable to respond, so they did not. She was made aware that she was a captive when a rough rope bit into the tender flesh of her wrists. The cell she'd been thrown into was as cold as the interrogation room and nowhere near as comfortable. She was left with nothing but a bare floor, cold walls, a wooden chair, and her crazed mind. There would have been no sound if it hadn't been for the water dripping somewhere nearby, a silence so deep as to drive one insane. She didn’t know Lord Aris. She never met him. She heard that he was a cruel Mafia Lord. He was phenomenally rich, extremely powerful and repu
The night was getting dark. Today I took my first step towards revenge. She became my slave. I should have calmed down, but no, I was still restless. I wanted her to beg me, cry and scream, but she did none of that. That’s what was burning me up. I was very angry at her so I got up from there. If I stayed there for a moment, I would have killed her and I did not want that. I want to torment her every now and then. I have been eagerly waiting for this moment. I wanted to enjoy her longing, I don’t want to give her such an easy death.I rested my head on the back of the couch, taking a deep puff. There was a dim light in my luxurious and spacious play-room. In the third hour of the cold night, as much noise was in the quiet atmosphere of the city, many times more noise was spread throughout my being. The panic started to increase so much that I picked up the blue label from the table and poured it into the glass, then put the glass into my mouth and poured it into my throat. Even the ha
The door of the elevator opened and a man dressed in black came out taking a strong step. A cigar was burning on the finger of his left hand, from which dim smoke was rising. There was a big room in front of the elevator where he was heading. No one could see inside the glass wall. But he knew she was inside. He unlocked the door with the help of his fingerprint, slid the glass door open, and stepped inside. In the cold room, Emma sat on the floor. The interior was dark. In front of the glass wall, she was sitting, leaning against it. The moment black shiny boots stooped near her, her jaw dropped in shock. After standing up so quickly, she became dizzy from getting up all at once.Despite her falling, he did not assist her. After barely stopping herself from falling, she glanced at his face. Aris stared at her with deep eyes.Yes. Looking at that face, he realized how painful it would be to give it a death. He was deciding when to kill her. He was thinking about how to get rid of her.
Emma’s P.O.V.I was still, looking at the door from where he has left.“Train this girl. She will serve me from now on. Train her in every aspect." His sentence was echoing around me. His disgusting words were humiliating me.Was he Aris? Was he really Aris?I put hands on my face and fell on the ground. I was crying, 'going through the excruciating stage of breaking down'. I remained as hard as a rock even on the biggest issue and never let a tear fall from eyes in front of anyone. I never felt weak in front of anyone. Everyone knew that this arrogant torch with a high nose can never cry, but today it is known that I have been dying drop by drop by his words. How much contrast is there in the outward appearance of the person 'with whom I was living'. I loved Robin but he betrayed me. Who do I complain to? From this monster, who had expressed his dirty thoughts many times? I was helpless. There was no one to trust. Love was unspoken but never ignorant. There was no winding up. There w
Emma’s P.O.V. I was dressed in a red gown; it was the dress of all slaves. I was ordered to make coffee for the master. “Prepare a cup of coffee and go to the room. Master is waiting for you.” I listened quietly. The night's darkness was not fully lifted. I put the cup on the tray and walk to the direction. This was a long corridor in a palace. At the end of the corridor, I was alone and that’s what I wanted. I looked around and found a large open window. I put the tray on the ground and jumped out of that window. Without looking back, I ran toward the main door. I was about to leave when I heard a voice behind the gate. As I turned to the sound, I breathed a sigh of relief. "Who are you?" "Turning to the sound, I looked at the face and smiled. "I am a maid here! Mam Taresa has sent me something important.” I replied in a low voice. "Oh she sent you to enter the forest? Alright, you have to go right." He advised me and my heart jumped with happiness. Once I step out, they cannot
~Time skipThe rain fell in heavy sheets, each drop a chilling reminder that there was no escaping the inevitable. I ran, my heart racing like a trapped bird against my ribs. The world around me was a blur of darkness and glistening pavement. The cold wind bit into my skin, but fear provided a kind of adrenaline-fueled warmth that pushed me forward.I thought I had lost him, managed to break the suffocating chains he had wrapped around me. But now, as I stumbled through the alleyways and under the flickering streetlights, it was clear that he was still a relentless hunter on my trail. Every shadow seemed to reach out for me, every sound was a whisper of his laughter. My breaths came in ragged gasps as I darted into an abandoned building. I needed a moment, just a moment, to catch my breath and think. My mind raced, piecing together the fragments of this nightmare. How had he found me? How had he recaptured me so easily?I pressed my trembling back against the damp wall, my eyes scanni
~Emma’s P.O.V. When I opened my eyes, a wave of darkness engulfed my surroundings. The absence of light instilled a sense of unease within me. As my eyes adjusted to the void, I was startled to discover that I was in a small room with crimson walls. I realized that I was completely naked, vulnerable and exposed. A shiver ran down my spine. So I was back in the hell. To compound my distress, I soon became aware that my hands were bound tightly behind my back, rendering me immobile. My legs were spread wide apart, further accentuating my helplessness. It was as if I had been transported back to a nightmarish realm, a place of torment and suffering. Suddenly I saw him. He was standing in front of me with a smirk. A dim light start emitting to make me visible. He was looking at my body. Oh No. How can he do that? "You are still the same," he said, his voice dripping with malice. His words hung in the air, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. He was now only a few inches away from me. He
Rain fell in a melancholic symphony, each droplet a reflection of the shattered emotions within Aris’s heart. The dimly lit room seemed to echo his desolation, the flickering candlelight casting elongated shadows that danced on the walls. The atmosphere was heavy with the scent of dampness.Emma stood before him, her eyes once warm pools of affection now glacial and distant. Her once enticing smile had turned into a cruel curve of indifference. The words she spoke cut through the air like a sharp blade, leaving wounds that ran deeper than any physical injury."You were nothing more than a pawn, Aris," her voice dripped with venom, each syllable laced with the disdain she now held for him. "I played with your emotions, danced upon the strings of your heart, all at my father's behest because we want revenge."Aris heart raced, each word striking him like a sledgehammer. He had loved her with a depth he hadn't known was possible. She was his confidante, and the love of his life. Or so he
I approached Robin’s mansion, a flicker of hope igniting within me. Maybe he’d regret after that, maybe it was just a mistake and I could forgive him. I love him and want to make things right. With each step, I imagined his smile, and the warmth of his embrace. But as I reached the grand entrance, the door stood wide open, an unsettling invitation.“Robin?” I called softly as I stepped inside, my voice echoing through the empty halls.Silence hung in the air, thick and oppressive. I ventured deeper, a knot forming in my stomach. “Robin?” I tried again, but the only response was the sound of my heart pounding in my ears. Then I heard it—a laughter that sent chills down my spine. It drifted from upstairs, sultry and mocking. I hesitated, dread pooling in my chest, but curiosity drew me closer.I climbed the staircase, each step heavier than the last. The laughter morphed into whispers, and I pressed myself against the wall outside a door, straining to hear.“...she was just a pawn,” Rob
“Obey me.”“And what if I refuse?” I challenged my voice barely above a whisper. His smile faltered, replaced by a flash of anger.“Then I will torture you to death,” he said simply as if it were inevitable. “But first, there’s something I need to know. May be It will help.”He stepped back, his eyes narrowing as he studied me with an intensity that made my skin crawl. Then, with a chilling calm, he asked the question I’d dreaded.“Are you a virgin? Tell me Robin even touched you?” The question hung in the air, thick with implication. My stomach twisted, a wave of nausea rising in my throat. I stared at him, disgust and fury boiling beneath the surface.“What does it matter?” I snapped, my voice laced with defiance. “I’m not one of your toys. You don’t own me.”His hand shot out, gripping my wrist in an iron grip, yanking me toward him. His face was inches from mine now, his eyes blazing with a dangerous intensity. “Everything about you matters to me,” he growled. “Your body, your min
The heavy door slammed shut, the echo ringing in my ears long after Aris had disappeared. My chest heaved as I fought to regain control, the bitter taste of his last words still lingering on my tongue. His question—are you a virgin?—hung in the air like a cruel joke. The audacity, the arrogance, it only fueled the fire burning deep inside me.I paced the room again, the walls feeling even closer now, suffocating in their coldness. He was testing me, pushing my limits. But he didn’t know me. He didn’t understand that every insult, and every bruise he left behind only strengthened my resolve. He thought he could cage me, and control me like the others, but I would not be broken. Not by him.I glanced toward the door, my mind already calculating my next move. Escape wasn’t just a fantasy—it was a necessity. The way he looked at me today, that twisted hunger in his eyes, told me I didn’t have much time. I needed to find a way out before things got worse before he did something even more u
Each step I took was calculated, my eyes scanning for hidden doors or unguarded exits. The heavy iron gates outside might as well have been a mountain, and I knew Aris had men watching every inch of this place. But I was determined to find a way.I kept to the shadows, slipping past rooms that held no interest to me. My heart pounded as I passed the kitchen, glancing quickly to see the other slaves working in silence, their faces pale and devoid of hope. They didn’t look at me, but I knew they felt the same oppressive weight I did.The difference was, I wasn’t like them.I wouldn’t break. As I neared the far side of the mansion, a door caught my attention, slightly ajar. Beyond it was a small courtyard surrounded by tall walls. Freedom? Maybe. My pulse quickened, and I edged closer, glancing over my shoulder to ensure no one was watching. The faintest hint of fresh air drifted through the crack. I reached out to open the door when a sharp voice pierced through the silence.“Where do y
As I finished, two figures appeared at the door, their faces twisted with something that made my stomach churn—hatred.I clenched my fists as the two girls stepped into the room, their sneers doing nothing to quell the fury boiling inside me.I wasn’t here to cower. I wasn’t about to let them walk all over me just because they'd been here longer. Their hatred rolled off them like poison, but I was no stranger to bitterness."Couldn't even make breakfast right, huh?" she muttered, crossing her arms. Her voice dripped with contempt. The second slave, a smaller woman with a pale face and icy blue eyes, stepped forward, nudging a broken piece of plate with her foot. "You think you’re special just because Master decided to drag you in here?" Her voice was soft, but the malice in her tone cut deeper than any loud insult could.I stayed silent, my head bowed, hoping to avoid whatever storm was brewing between them. They didn’t owe me anything—least of all kindness."Pathetic," the taller wom
I gasped in pain as I tried to rise from the bed, my legs throbbing with such intensity that the mere thought of walking seemed impossible. He had been far too rough last night. There was no mistaking it—gentleness wasn't a part of him, at least not with me. After a few agonizing attempts, I managed to sit up, just as the door creaked open. A maid entered, balancing a tray of coffee in her hands.Without meeting her gaze, I bowed my head as she set the tray on a table at the far end of the room."Good morning," she greeted politely, but I remained silent. "Master wants you to prepare his breakfast."A bitter smile tugged at my lips at the mention of him. Slowly, I stood, grabbing my dress—though it was torn beyond repair. There was no way I could wear it."I’ll wash myself first, and then you can take me to the kitchen so I can start," I said, cutting her off mid-sentence. She nodded, offering no further words of comfort. They wouldn’t help anyway; I had long since accepted my fate.I
"That's just the beginning," he growled, the cold metal of the whip clicking against the stone floor as he raised it once more. "You'll learn to crave this pain, to beg for more. And when you do, I'll give it to you. I'll give you every ounce of pleasure and pain that you can handle. And then, my little slave, I'll give you more."His words sent shivers down my spine, a mix of fear and excitement coursing through my veins. I couldn't help but feel a strange sense of arousal, knowing that I was at the mercy of his every whim.I had no choice but to submit to his every demand, to endure the pain and pleasure he would inflict upon me.Suddenly he stopped. I sighed heavily, looking at his back.A moment passed. My face was still wet by my tears.I tried to resist but couldn’t. The dead boy of that girl was still fresh in my mind."Ready your mind, slave," he husked, his voice low and threatening. I looked at him.His footsteps creaked across the stone floor as he approached me once more.
The whip cracked through the air, its leather tip biting into my flesh. I clenched my teeth, determined not to cry out. He circled me slowly, his boots scuffing against the floor."You thought you could escape, did you?" he sneered, his voice low and dangerous. "Foolish girl. You could run from me? I am not a weak teenage boy. You are a slave and I am your master now." He leaned closer to my ear and whispered.“Ahh.” Another lash, this one catching me across the shoulder blades. I jerked against the ropes binding my wrists, but they held fast. The pain was unbearable. Tears started streaming down my face but I was still in shock, unable to speak. How can he kill that girl so easily? She died because of me. I was responsible for her death."I'll teach you the price of disobedience," He growled at my silence. The whipping continued, each stroke laying fire across my back. I lost count after twenty. Sweat and blood mingled, dripping down my sides. Still I refused to make a sound, denied
"There's a delivery coming tonight—fresh produce for the kitchens. I've arranged for you to be hidden in one of the crates. It's risky, but it's your best chance to get out of here." Her voice was a lifeline, pulling me from the depths of my fear. I clung to her words, forcing myself to believe that this was real, that I might actually escape the nightmare that had become my life.We moved swiftly, our footsteps muffled by the thick dust covering the stone floors. The woman guided me through a maze of passages, each one more foreboding than the last. My heart pounded in my chest, the sound of it echoing in my ears. Every shadow seemed to harbor a threat, every flicker of the torchlight a warning. What If he found me? What will he do to me? He would take off my skin, I was sure. Finally, we reached the kitchens. The large, open space was eerily quiet, the usual bustle of activity stilled by the late hour. Crates were stacked haphazardly along the walls, filled with fruits and vegetabl
