"You mean I have to spend two weeks on an island with him!” Kristen shouted. She did not like the idea of being with Adrian for two minutes, much less being with him for two whole weeks. It was a stupid idea by her parents to make her like him and it was not working, not one bit.
“You can get to know him better,” her mother said.
“I don’t want to get to know him. I thought you will talk to Dad about Thomas?” She asked her mother. She was so furious. She could not believe that after she had so much faith that her mother would actually talk to her father, she believed that her father would actually change his mind about her marrying the infuriating bastard.
“Thomas is not a good choice Kristen.” Her mother was trying to be sympathetic; Kristen knew this but it not justify the way she spoke of Thomas, of her as though they were cattle to be traded.
“You do remember we are human mother. We are not animals. We are meant to have choices!” She sounded much harsher than she intended but frankly she did not care. Her mother deserved her treatment.
“I know Kristen. No one is saying you don’t have choices. But life is much more complicated than that, you have to make choices knowing full well that it will affect everyone around you.” Her mother’s words were reasonable and they sounded rational enough. But Kristen was not feeling rational at all, she wanted to be selfish. She did not want to care if he decision not to marry the bastard made the company broke or not. Her happiness was the most important thing.
“I am not doing this mother, there is nothing you and father will do to change my mind. I am not going on vacation with Adrian. I am not spending two weeks on an island with him. And I am not going to marry him!”
She didn’t care for her mother’s sensibilities at that point in her life. She walked out of her mother’s expensively decorated room, banging the door for good measure.
She stamped her foot angrily on the ground as the left her mother’s room. She could feel tears prick the sides of her eyes and a heavy lump had appeared in her throat.
It was during those times that she detested being an only child. It was during those moments that she hated that she was female.
If she had a sibling then all the responsibility would not be placed on her. If she was not a girl then her father would have trusted her with the company. He would not have to get her married for him to feel the company was safe.
It was as those moments that Kristen missed her brother. As she walked up to her room, she wished that he had not died at such a young age. He had died when he was ten years old and she was just six. She was not extremely close to him, but she liked to imagine that she would have been close to him. That no one would be forcing her to get married. That she could live like a normal twenty one year old. That she could go out for drinks with her friends without fear of disappointing a certain someone.
She sat on her bed and wished everything would just go away. She lay carefully on her bed and wished that when she woke up, that all her problems would have disappeared.
Sleeping hadn’t solved Kristen’s problem. Instead, she had woken up very cranky to the realization that nothing had changed. She was still going on vacation with the insufferable bastard.
Her sleep had been short and fitful as she dreamt of a secluded island with the handsome bastard. She had felt the same electricity that she felt when he touched in the restaurant in the dream. Before the dream it seemed that she had forgotten that her body was attracted to him.
Her mind knew that it was so wrong to be attracted to him; he has such perverse views of life. It was almost sickening.
She could not help but wish that Adrian would just object vehemently to the entire plan of the marriage and all. But by her father’s words the next day, it seemed like he actually wanted to go on the vacation.
But then again, it seemed too much of an assumption. She remembered the hard and hate filled look that he had given her during the meeting, the annoyed and irritated look and that he gave her when they first met dying the party. It was clear that he hated her as much as she hated him.
Kristen chuckled as she realized their situation; two people that hated each other’s guts on an island, alone for two weeks. What was the worst that could happen?
Adrian needed a vacation, he felt like he deserved one. He had been working non-stop trying to please his father for the past one year and to be frank he was tired of it. The only time of rest he had was his cabin, and he could not even disappear there now. He had to think about Kristen and there was too much on ground.
His father’s plan had been crazy to say the least, but he couldn’t help but feel interested. He was tired of the city and two weeks in his father’s private island sounded very tempting.
He could use the privacy and he very much needed the break. The only downside to the invitation was the fact that he had to spend the two weeks with the spoilt brat. The major problem was not the fact that she was annoying and that she grated on his nerves. It was the fact that he was not sure he would be able to restrain himself from touching her, from kissing her beautiful lips for two whole weeks.
To be frank, he was not sure he would last less than a day.
Succumbing to his pleasures had not always been a problem. Resisting had even been easier. It was not that he felt she would reject him, on the contrary he could see the fire in her eyes, and she would let him. The only problem was the fact that their parents wanted them to get married, and he did not want to marry her. Hell, he did not want to marry anyone.
Marriage was work. Relationships in general were too much work for him. Sex on the other hand was much easier, sweeter and much more pleasurable.
He had weighed his options and realized that he would take chances. He told his father that he would love the chance to get to know Kristen better and in a few days, he was in a plane going half way across the world.
When he saw Kristen that morning, his blood began to boil. He had not seen her since dinner and he had wished that her wearing just a shirt was a onetime thing. It seemed that it hadn’t and the little chit found pleasure in his ire.
The shirt she wore was even shorter and more exposed than the one she wore the previous time. If she bent just a little, her ass would be open for the entire airline staff. To somehow compliment the dress, she wore knee high socks. Adrian felt she should have just come naked.
There is no way my wife is dressing like that, he thought to himself.
Wife?
When did he start thinking of her in that manner? He had no plans of marrying her. She was not his wife, neither was she his girlfriend. How she dressed was none of his business.
So he looked forward and refused to acknowledge her as she sashayed into the plane. Her long dark brown hair was wavy and it seemed to catch light. An angry frown graced her normally beautiful features. When her eyes met his, she shot him an annoyed scowl that made her look more vulture than human. It was obvious that she did not want the vacation.
Taking a deep breath, he took his attention back to the online chess game he was playing. It was going to be a long ride.
Kristen did not understand Adrian. He was annoying, irritating and generally a frustrating human being. She had expected him to react violently to the vacation plans as he didn’t even like her, but he was calm. It was as though he was enjoying seeing her so riled up. He seemed so at peace in the plane and if she didn’t know better she would have said that he was the one that planned the vacation.
She sat on her chair, making as much noise ad possible. It was annoying that he seemed so calm when she was at her wits end. She had a very strong urge to annoy him.
“I can’t believe I am leaving the country for two whole weeks,” she said out loud. She had no reasons to actually say it loud, but the silence was killing her. They were the only two people in the plane and that was making it worse.
Adrian looked up from his tab and stared at her. She matched his stare with a glare of her own and refused to back down. Surprisingly, he was the one to back down as he focused his attention back on his tab, not saying anything.
Kristen felt like pulling her hair. He seemed untouchable. She had left her entire life; all the work she had to do in the office, the wedding she was supposed to attend, simply because her father wanted her to get married to the infuriating man. And it seemed like she was the only one affected.
Kristen heard the pilot’s voice preparing them for the flight and she sighed. It was going to be a long, long vacation. Unable to help herself, she arranged herself more comfortably on the chair and went to sleep.
.
From the deep depth of slumber, Kristen felt herself being shook awake and not even softly.
“Kristen!” The annoying voice shouted.
“Just a little longer,” she mumbled, still enveloped in sleep.
“Wake up Kristen. We have to get off the jet.”
Jet?
It was then that it occurred to Kristen that she was on a plane. They had finally landed and she had slept through the entire flight.
She opened her eyes and was met with Adrian’s blue eyes staring down at her. That close, he looked so beautiful. His black hair was falling over his face; his brows were knitted in concentration. He looked so handsome even when he was serious.
“Good morning,” she mumbled and he immediately shifted back. It was obvious that he had not expected that she would wake up. Kristen did not understand the feeling that she had when he left. It was as though a part of her body was taken away, she did not like the feeling, not one bit.
“You slept for the entire flight.” Adrian sounded like he was asking rather than making a statement. Kristen could not believe that she had slept for straight five hours and she was not even on a bed. She blamed her sleep on how comfortable the chair was.
“I was tired,” she defended herself. Adrian looked like no one could sleep that long without being abnormal and so Kristen felt the need to clarify some things.
“We should get to the cabin before its dark,” he said. It was then that Kristen realized that the day was starting to get dark. It was pure daylight when she left New York, she had not really thought about the time difference and how awkward it would be for her.
“Okay,” she said and stood up from the chair. Her entire body was aching. It seemed that no matter how comfortable the chair was. It wasn’t fit for sleeping.
Adrian did not wait for her as he walked out of the plane. Kristen rolled her eyes at his childishness, wondering how she was going to deal with that for the next two weeks.
When Kristen stepped out of the private jet, she was wowed. Clayton Tremont had bragged about the island that he owned to her father and Kristen had felt the old man was just over exaggerating. It turned out that he wasn’t.
Though it was already getting dark, she could see the beautiful white sand, the green forests, the blue sea and the simple looking cabin that lay ahead. To Kristen, it felt like she stepped into another planet.
The sun had begun to set and she could see the beautiful orange glow that it had cast, her fingers itched to take a picture.
“What are you standing and staring at? Come inside!” Adrian shouted from inside the cabin and Kristen rolled her eyes at his audacity.
He was not the boss of her.
Who did he feel he was to order her around?
And he expected her to listen.
She had half the mind to stand outside just to piss him off, but she realized that she would be doing herself more harm than good and so she walked into the house to begin her vacation for two weeks.
When Kristen woke up, it was still dark. She stretched her hand to her where lamp usually stayed, but it wasn’t there. Groaning, she searched for her phone instead and found it without much stress. As light flooded the room, she was even more confused. She was not staring at the blue and green decor of her room and she was certainly not looking at a nice painting of the sea. Everything was wrong. It took her a while, but she finally realized that she was very far from home. She was on an island, with Adrian of all people; she was on vacation. She had gone to bed the previous night with a plan on her mind. It occurred to her that Adrian hated when she didn’t do what he said. In simple terms, when she told him no, he threw a tantrum, it kind of reminded Kristen of a child that was denied candy. With that realization she knew what she had to do. She knew that she could not resist making the next two weeks a living hell for him—he sure as hell deserved it.Not wanting to waste more time,
Adrian could not stop laughing, he could not help himself. He knew Kristen was a spoilt brat from the very moment he met her, but he did not know that she was so bad. She fucking thought they baked pancakes. When he woke up and saw smoke filling the air, he had panicked. He felt the house was going to burn to the ground. Kristen, who had obviously caused the fire, was soundly asleep, oblivious to fumes of smoke. She only woke up when he had screamed at her. He had been angry, so angry. His father wanted him to marry such an irresponsible child. She had put the pancakes in the oven and gone to sleep. He had refused to be touched when her face was filled with guilt. He continued to shout at her, he wanted her to see how stupid had being. Then she had opened her mouth and she said she was trying to bake pancakes, his anger had immediately disappeared into thin air. He was doubling over in laughter and noting could stop it. Adrian had a feeling it was going to be a fun two weeks. Krist
"He spanked me, and I liked it,” Kristen said to Bea over the phone. By the sound of Bea’s squeak, Kristen could tell that her friend found the revelation as exciting as she did.“How did it feel?” Bea asked and Kristen sighed, reliving the feeling of Adrian’s hands on her body, the sharp pain that spread across her backside as his hands hit it hard, the pain that dulled into something else, something that seemed like passion.“It felt wonderful. He kissed me so hard and made me orgasm twice, but I ruined it,” Kristen groaned, silently beating up herself for freaking out last minute. Kristen was the more sexual out of the both of them and so she felt even more ashamed that she had chickened out.“I wish I could be like those female heroines in romance novels that met a guy on the first day and fucked him without letting him know they are virgins and then be carefree the next morning when they man sees the blood on the sheets,” she said to her friend.“I am surprised you even let him g
Kristen had been so hungry the previous night she had forgotten that she wanted to seduce Adrian. Losing her virginity had to wait; Adrian wanted her to learn how to cook. He had been so patient with her the previous night while they made a simple pasta dish, though she saw the muscle in his jaw thick when she did something wrong. He was struggling not to shout out at her. They had managed to make a salvageable meal together and Kristen was proud. The food was not perfect or anything, and Adrian was not on his way to becoming a world class chef, but they could actually eat and enjoy the food—which was way more than one could say about hers.Kristen had gone to sleep that night in a bed that she would have not preferred, plotting how she would land in another bed the next night. She woke up the next morning, chirpy happy; ready to carry out her devious plans.“Get dressed, we are going to the village,” Adrian said, popping his handsome head inside her room.“The village?” She was surpr
All of Kristen’s reasoning shut down the very minute Adrian pressed his lips on hers. The past two weeks had been horror for her. The fact that she had to work with him didn’t make her life any better. She had been sure that they had made the right decision when they left the island, but two weeks later she wasn’t so sure anymore.Kristen had always known what she wanted from a very young age. She knew right from when she was ten years old that she wanted to work in the business world. She then proceeded to spend her entire life working towards it. Kristen knew sooner or later she would get married, but on setting an eye on Adrian Tremont, she knew he was not the man for her. She wanted a gentleman that would adore her to bits, not an arrogant bastard that didn’t know how to keep his temper. It was clear to her that she didn’t want to marry him. For the first time in her life, she was torn.Kristen Lancaster had no idea what she was doing. She was thoroughly and utterly confused. All
Having Kristen that night was one of the very best encounters that Adrian could think of. It was hard to imagine that she was a virgin just a month back. She felt and acted like a pro.Adrian smiled as he remembered their discussion the next morning. He couldn’t believe his luck.“We really shouldn’t be doing this,” he had told her that morning. She was basically lying on top of him, her breasts on his chest, one of her legs across his. His hands were on her soft backside, smoothening over and massaging. It was safe to say it was not the time for such conversation.“Why the hell shouldn’t we?” She asked. Adrian had expected many things from her, but he didn’t expect that she was protesting so much and not so vehemently. She sounded so angry about the fact that he was pointing out how wrong having sex was for them. For some reason, that gave him joy.“Well for one our parents want us to get married and we don’t want to marry each other,” he pointed out. To be fair, he thought it was pr
Kristen had expected all hell to rise when Adrian caught them together, but she didn’t expect him to go straight to her father and tell him he had caught her and Adrian together. As expected her father freaked out and demanded that Adrian marry her. Adrian’s father acted the same way. He literally said his son must do the honorable thing by making her his wife. Kristen wondered if she travelled through time to the eighteen hundreds without being aware.Tommy had taken the big brother role in it and somehow given Adrian a black eye. Her mother was the calmest person in the midst of the storm. She acted as though she knew all that would happen and that it was simply part of some plan.Bea had been a perfect best friend, listening to all her woes, but she did say once that she was slightly jealous Kristen, getting married to such a fine specimen of man and all. Kristen just reminded her friend of how annoying Adrian was.Somehow, because she didn’t close the bloody door, Kristen was get
Kristen was married. She had no idea how to handle that information, or what exactly it meant for her. She didn’t feel any different from how she felt a few hours back. The only thing was the ring was weighing heavily on her finger, reminding her of the responsibilities that came with marriage. As she thought of it, she suddenly felt like crying. She was twenty-one; she would be twenty-two in four months time. She should not be passing through all of that stress, or any stress at all. She should be a college student that was only worried about school grades. She shouldn’t have to think about her husband, or worse children. The fact that she could actually have children scared her. And now, people expected her to have children as it was what married people did. Fitting Adrian’s dick in her hole was hard enough; she couldn’t imagine a baby’s head coming through that tiny hole. It scared the hell out of her that she could actually die in that process. Being a woman was hard. The thought
As expected, things were a bit awkward after the kiss. Bea was not sure what to think or believe but things were not going according to her plan, she was getting too close to him. Bea did not expect Tommy to maltreat her or her child, but then again, she didn’t expect him to be so courteous and such a gentleman. It seemed that his anger with her ended after the dinner at Kristen’s house. After kissing her that morning, he promptly apologized and left her to enjoy her breakfast alone. Bea wanted to tell him that she didn’t want his apology that she wanted him to keep on kissing her, but she killed the thoughts as soon as they surfaced. After brushing her teeth, she sat on her bed and enjoyed the scrumptious breakfast. She took her bath and wore her clothes from the previous night before she went out to the living room again. Tommy was looking as handsome and rugged as ever. He was wearing a black short sleeve tee that showed his tattoos and accentuated his muscles. He stood up from the
"You want me to do what?” Bea shouted. She could not believe Tommy. There was absolutely no way that she was hearing him correctly.“I want you to stay in my place until the baby is born,” Tommy repeated, he didn’t sound like he was joking at all.“I know you don’t want to get married and it was too rash for me to have asked you without thinking, but you have denied me almost nine months of knowing of my child’s existence. I don’t want to spend another minute being away from him or her,” Tommy continued and Bea stared harder at him.Surely he had gone mad. A few hours ago, she could vividly recall that he was pissed at her, and now he wanted them to live together.“No,” she said and tried to sit up from the bed, she could not be around him at the moment. Standing up was a bit uncomfortable, given the fact that she was still tired and her stomach was bigger than a watermelon. Tommy gave her a see what I am talking about look and helped to sit up. She hated to think that she actually ne
"Uhh, it’s almost Christmas. I can’t wait to go shopping and to decorate,” Kristen squealed and Bea rolled her eyes, she was a bit cranky and uncomfortable, but nothing could kill her joy, her baby was almost here. After the bad breakup with Tommy in April, Bea had found out that she was pregnant. She was happy, ecstatic, but she was scared of what Tommy would do when he found out. She was still nursing heartbreak then but she comforted herself with fact that she finally going to get her wish, a baby. It gave her even more joy that her love would arrive just in time for Christmas. It seemed like there was no cause for alarm as Tommy seemed to have disappeared, gone off the face of the earth. No one was in contact with him.Bea was grateful that she had not met his family before the breakup as they would have deduced that she was carrying Tommy’s child. Even Kristen didn’t know that it was Thomas’ baby that was carrying. Because she has such a strong relationship with Tommy, Bea lied t
Bea felt frustrated, angry, depressed and most of all, lonely. She could be called a big lair, if she said she wasn’t jealous of her very best friend and the fact that she had found her happily ever after. She wanted a baby. For as long as she could remember, Bea had always wanted a child. She had always wanted a little bundle of joy that she could call hers, she wanted to be able to carry a child and know that the little being was dependent on her, she wanted a child that she would watch grow, one that would swell in her stomach. She longed for a kick of a child and then the birth, oh the birth. She would be a fool to think that it didn’t hurt, she knew it did. Her best friend, Kristen just had her first child, Alexandria and had let Bea know how dreadful child birth could be. Nevertheless, Bea wanted a child, no matter how painful it was.Bea adored her niece, Alexi, she did. At six months, she was already looking so much like her mother, brown hair and brown eyes. Bea still wanted
Adrian was scared. Even though his brother tried to calm him down he could not help it, Kristen was fighting for her life and he couldn’t do anything to help her, he was just the bastard that got her pregnant. The fact that his mother had died during childbirth still haunted him, he was scared that Kristen would die through that very way. “Calm down Adrian,” Thomas said, placing his hand on his shoulder. Adrian gave his brother the stink eye and his brother promptly removed his arm. “She will be fine,” he continued. Adrian did not have the strength or even the patience to listen to his younger brother; he just ignored him and continued pacing the hospital corridors. “Mr Tremont,” the doctor called. Adrian’s heart immediately stood still. He was sure his heart stopped beating. He looked into the doctor’s eyes and searched for anything that vaguely resembled sadness or even pity, he found none. “Your give has delivered a baby boy, both mother and wife are fine,” the doctor said and A
Kristen needed to do something for Adrian. It was their sixth month anniversary and Adrian had done some much for her. He surprised her for her birthday and all. Kristen knew that he would also have something planned for the six month anniversary, but she wanted hers to be huge. She had to crack her head before she finally concluded on what they would do for the anniversary. She recalled when they talked about a honeymoon on the island. Kristen wanted to go back to the island; it had a very strong role to play in their love story. Plus, she lost her virginity there. It would be the perfect gift. She planned a two week trip in which she would tell him that she loved him. She was just two months pregnant, but yet she was already tired of out waiting whatever it was that made her husband not to tell her that he loved her. She was going to tell him first, she had it all planned. On the very first day that they got the island, she would tell him.It would have been more romantic to tell hi
They both went home different people. Kristen had to be more mature, she was becoming a mother very soon; they were becoming parents.“I am not the father of Nina’s child,” he said. He sounded so sure of himself that she knew he could not be lying. Kristen did not know what to believe. All she knew was that Adrian cared for her and he would not hurt her willingly. They had gotten home and they were seated on the couch.“How can you be so sure? You slept with her,” Kristen said. It felt like someone was dragging a knife through her body to say those words. With the words, a very graphic picture of Adrian sleeping with Nina came to her mind. She felt like throwing up.“That was a long time ago and I was very careful,” he said and she frowned.“Well mistakes happen,” she said.“How long ago did this happen?” She asked, a picture of Nina’s small bump coming to mind.“About eight months back, before we met. How pregnant did she look?” He asked. Kristen could not find the words to answer. A
Kristen looked at her reflection in the mirror as she said, “Someone came to my office and she claimed to be pregnant with your baby.” It sounded too brash, more like she was accusing him, it couldn’t work. “I got a visit today, from a pregnant woman,” she tried again. Adrian would be confused at that; a pregnant woman could be any body at all. She was trying all sorts of ways she could bring up the topic with Adrian. She came home early from work to meet an empty house. So, she began to practice what she would say to Adrian when he finally got home.Don’t be scared Kristen. It’s not like you did anything wrong, she tried to tell herself, but then she knew she was mostly scared of the outcome of the talk and what it would mean for her, what it would mean for their marriage.“Kristen!” She heard Adrian call out and she jumped in fright. She had been a bit jumpy since she returned from work. She couldn’t help herself, the thought of Adrian actually being the father of the woman’s chil
Kristen was sore in more places than she was sure she could be. Adrian was more than a little enthusiastic in delivering his birthday present, leaving her sorer than she had been since the day she lost her virginity. Being sore wasn’t a bad thing for her; Kristen was what she would call blissfully sore. Her lady parts tinged, but she wanted more. She could feel Adrian move beside her, reminding her that it was morning.“Good morning love,” he whispered into her ear and she melted against him.“Good morning love,” she replied. She stared at his blonde hair, falling over his face and his beautiful blue eyes and wondered what she did to get this handsome man.He stared at her with pure adoration in his eyes before pressing his lips to hers. As her tongue mingled with his, her hands found their way into his hair, his landed on her breasts, tweaking her nipples. His hand moved further down to her sex and she slightly flinched as he pushed a finger in. She didn’t even know her flinch was so
