Gavriel's POV
"Do we have to go home?"
That was the third time Camille had asked me that question. She stood by the bed I sat on, shoving a bra on reluctantly. We had spent the day as well as the entire night in the cabin by the beach. I loved it, I spent most of it wrapped up somehow in that addicting body of hers.
But while I loved spending all my hours with her, I had a lot of things to deal with. First, we had two days' worth of work piled up already. Second, I had to get rid of the silly rumor Victoria was spreading around, that we were back together.
I would rather drink a bottle of pure cyanide than have anything to do with her. But of course, the media couldn't know that. A simple way to discard the rumor would be to introduce to them another woman with whom I was in a deep relationship.
Camille.

Gavriel's POV"What is it?" I demanded, trying to keep a level head.Nolan hadn't exactly had a normal childhood. His mother had dropped him off like he was a hot potato when he was barely two years old. She had been having an affair with my boss and when I found out, she figured she didn't have to spare my feelings anymore and filed for a divorce. She had done everything to avoid gaining custody of our son. An unnecessary move, because there was no way I would leave Nolan with her. She was crazy, controlling, and manipulative. I didn't want my son to end up like her or even worse."Well, we checked with Dr. Peterson first," The PI spoke, obviously taking his time in delivering whatever awful news he had coming. I tried not to lose my patience. "She says Nolan has been doing fine and he doesn't need the sessions anymore."
Camille's POVI counted to ten in my head before unclasping my bra. My breasts bounced free jiggling against my shirt and I giggled at the thought of the elevator sliding open. I could get caught.Besides I was fairly certain that Gav was steaming mad in there. Five seconds had gone by. And I was sure the proud man would not step out of his office. He would wait it out until I caved in.And yes I would cave in, dammit. I needed him. I didn't send him those saucy pictures only to mess with him. I considered taking off my panties and decided I wanted him to work a little. When I walked into his office, Gavriel looked every bit like the brooding dangerous man he was. He stood behind his desk, the glass walls behind him overlooked the city, and his eyes blazed as they watched me draw closer. His shirt was gone revealing his taut olive skin and the m
Camille's POV"What the hell do you think you're doing?" He gritted in a low voice, those eyes glaring daggers at Victoria.I heaved a sigh of relief and maybe I shouldn't feel so satisfied that he'd come to my rescue, but I did. An angry vein popped in his neck, as he glared down at the intruder. Her dark eyes remained steely for a while, then her face softened as of a few seconds ago, she wasn't about to maul me."Gavriel, hi," She said in a falsetto, tipping her head towards the basket she carried. "I thought I'd bring you something to eat. I made all of your favorite dishes. You work so hard and-""I told you to stay the fuck away from me," He spat, and I watched her wince, he must have squeezed her hand too tight. But I had to give it to her, Victoria did not budge. She simply held her head up
Camille's POV"Camille the least you can do is cheer up,""Cheer up?" I gave him a sullen look. The worst one I could pull. A pouty upper lip, with brows narrowed in anger and a glare. "You told me I only had to marry Chad if I failed at my job with Gavriel!"Dad laughed, that silly good natured sound as if my words were silly. It was things like this that had me going off in a rebellious streak when I was younger. He assumed he knew what I wanted, how I wanted, when and fucking where I wanted it.I was so done."I've been good at my job," I defended. There was no way Gavriel had told him otherwise. Hell, after getting the call from Dad this afternoon, I had begged Gavriel to call my Dad and tell him I had been good at my job. I did not want to marry Chad.I didn't have to beg Gavriel twice.
Camille's POVWell, that was hurtful. A little bit too painful especially when it came from a man whom I had seen as a father for about a year.I hadn't meant for Mr Martins to hear. I'd just wanted to scare Chad so he could be against the marriage as well. Our parents couldn't possibly force two unwilling parties to get married, could they?"Mr. Martins, I'm so-""Save it, Camille," he interrupted, his voice cold and cutting. "I may be bedridden, but my ears still work just fine. I never would have imagined you could be so callous and disrespectful. When I heard Caldwell's daughter was a brat, I didn't know how true that was. And you have shown me."Well, shit.I hadn't expected it all to bounce back on my father. My cheeks burned with shame as I struggled to find the right words to apologize.
Gavriel's POV“You were eavesdropping?”I frowned at the device I held in my hands, and glanced down at the boner in my sweatpants and the novel I had been reading to get settled for bed.Damn, it would seem our rendezvous had been brought to an end. What if this Chad tried to blackmail her some shit?I tried to replay our conversation in my head. Had she mentioned my name? Was there anything that could implicate her?Fuck. I had to go over there to help her if there was one.“Camille?” I called the phone.“Hi, I'll call you later,” she replied, not sounding particularly afraid, and ended the call.Did that mean she was okay?I sent a text to her telling her to tell me imm
Camille's POV“I-I wasn't eavesdropping,” Chad stuttered, holding his hands up in defense. “I didn't mean to. I hadn't… I didn't know you came to the U-U until I heard your voice on the call.”“Then why didn't you say something then?!” I yelled accusingly, glaring at him.“Oh, I don't know. Maybe because I was afraid you'd be like this?”I almost gave myself a whiplash from rearing my head up in shock. My eyes rounded and for a minute I was speechless.“Camille?” Gav called through the phone.”Hi, I'll call you later,” I told him and ended the call before facing Chad. “Did you just get all sassy with me?”He blushed, all bright red under the light.“Sure n
Camille's POV“It's probably just work,” I mumbled, ending the call. “See, I'm doing well at work. Stop trying to marry me off. I'm young.”“Right, you are,” Dad sighed and stepped out of the car. “You’re making dinner,”“What why?” I groaned, rapidly texting Gavriel that I was fine before following suit.“Because it was all your fault that the Martins did not invite us to eat with them. It's either that or your old man starves.” He replied and walked away.“Humans can survive two weeks without food. You'll be fine.” I called after him.I was kidding. I made us some pasta for dinner and tried to appease him with the sauce but I got criticized instead. But overall, the night ended in success.
