"But you never told me you were married," Brian asked her. I anticipated her reply, but she did not answer the question.

"Uhm, I'll explain to you later," Yvonne responded, and she walked out immediately. I could see the sudden change in her face. She couldn't even stare at Brian while saying that. The smile and happiness on her face when she was having some conversation with Brian before I interrupted quickly faded away, and all that could be seen was shame written all over her face as she walked.

"Is anything the matter? I hope she wasn't infuriated by my question." Brian whispered to me.

"No, not at all. She was just worried about her kids. Perhaps she has spent more time than she wanted here and was curious about her kids' welfare," I replied, forcing a smile across my lips.

"Well, that's okay," Brian replied, followed by a heavy sigh from him. He was still terrified by the fact that Yvonne had babies—not even a baby, but babies. He was totally disappointed.
