Missing

Jaxon kept looking at the clock. It was past midnight, but Veronica wasn't still in his pack. He sighed as he tried to hide his anxiousness. He couldn't understand what he felt. It seemed there was something terrible that might have happened to Veronica.

“Alpha, what are you doing? You still not sleepy?” Uriel asked in a sleepy tone. He yawned while he was looking at him. His eyes were full of curiosity. Uriel came closer to him, staring at the clock he had been staring at. “Is there something wrong with our clock? I think it's working.” He commented.

He scowled when he heard what Uriel had said to him. Of course, it was working! He knew how to read a clock because he wasn't stupid. Irritation was more evident in his face. He disliked what Uriel had told him.

“I know it's working. I'm only thinking of Veronica. It's past midnight, and she's still not yet home.” He tried his best to hide the annoyance from his tone. He closed his eyes and massaged his nape. He realized Uriel was still
