Veronica took a deep breath when she glanced at the man who was watching her from cutting the ingredient. She was uncomfortable, and she felt that she wanted the man to leave him alone.

“Why are you stopping from cutting it? I want to make sure that you will not dare to put some poison in my food. Am I bad?”

“You're not bad. You are only skeptical. It's fine but is it okay with you to move away from me? I felt uncomfortable.”

“I don't feel uncomfortable. It's your problem, and not mine. Did you think that I'm sympathetic to my student? You are here to learn something from me. I wanted to make sure that you aren't bait.”

“What? I can't understand what you mean. Do you have an enemy that you're trying to hide?”

“I have a lot. They were bad on me because I was too stunning in their eyes. They were scared that I might steal their mates.” He smirked and suppressed his laughter.
