After talking with Kriss, Zadicus’ mind was deeply impacted by his words. He was unable to shift his mind from those thoughts and realizations.

Impotent to murder the memory engraved in his mind, he went to see Persephone to confront her and clear the questions in his mind.

Persephone was sitting on the ground, hugging her knees close to her chest to stare into the devoid with a heavy heart, narrowing her eyes, hurt deeply about what was happening.

She didn’t know how she ended up breaking Kriss’ heart but emotions were always a complicated matter beyond one's comprehension.

What have I done? She thought sadly, staring into her hands devoid of expressions.

Her room was dark, her mind locked into the abyss for confusion, filled with perplexities away from her capabilities to control.

Amid this thick, dark mist surrounding her a cold breeze blew as the window of her room flung open.

She immediately recognized the scent reaching her, closing her eyes, she leaned her head back on t

Persephone’s confession left Zadicus into a stunned state, trying to register her words, comprehending their depth. Realizing he was right all along, none of his words could change what she feels for him, she was always his and shall remain his for eternity. Her display of desperation was proof of it. “You can’t change my emotions… You can’t, Zadicus, so please stop it.” Persephone murmured, tightening her grip on him. Zadicus looked down in dejection, swallowing hard and wrapped his one hand around back, pushing her forward to his chest. Giving her further access to embrace him properly, holding her rigidly, holding her firmly, snuggling to her neck. “Don’t…” She whispered, lips parting to gain some breaths, hoping the visible hopelessness could show Zadicus his worth in her perspective and seal those lips desiring separation from her. “Persephone…” His whisper called her in a tender tone, closing her in his arms to never leave her again. Becoming her source of equanimity i

When Persephone asked Zadicus to stop, his soul stayed where she pleaded with him to stop. She cannot take the distance anymore. When he was this close, she couldn't permit him to leave. "Who knows when I can hold you this close again... who knows when I could get this chance again..." Persephone's pain was clear in her tone, how she wanted him to stay and not lose the night they managed to attain after a devilishly long period. "I don't know when I could freely express my love, my emotions, when I could hold you again..." Halting between her stumbling words, she held his hand tightly as he continued to stare at her in compassion blended with sorrow. "That's why... as long as this night remains... stay with me.. hold me.. stay with me at this moment..." Gulping down all her emotions, she pressed her teeth together, lifting her gaze, staring intently to link her orbs together, whispering. "Love me, Zadicus." Lust dripped from her words, the longing becoming her pain. She was

“You are right. I might have come here emotionally, but deep down, I could never allow another man to take you away from me.” Laughing a little, he brushed his nose against hers, an eventual grin creeping upon his lips while confessing his unspoken feelings. “I love you so much, Persephone.” He whispered, sliding his hand under her dress, indulging in her quivering with his touch. “I love you, Zadicus…” She moaned, arching her back when his hand undressed her slowly, leaving her a blushing mess. “Your love is my greatest blessing.” She hummed, laughing a little, panting heavily by mere touches as her body was reacting rapidly to the touch, collecting heat at her lower region. “I know.” He chuckled darkly in her ears, biting her earlobe, moving his knee between her legs to restrict her from closing her legs, kissing her sweet spot. Taking her clothes while stroking her from side to side, imprinting his marks on her skin to declare his enunciation on his beloved forever. “I wis

The next morning a beautiful smile adorned Perspehone's lips to recall what happened last night, to find the intoxicating ecstasy traveling in her body. Her eyes opened slowly when the sunlight fell on her face, a furious blush creeping upon her lips to find herself in Zadicus’ shirt and her underwear.Blinking, she was about to sit up but a hand pulled her down on the bed.“Stay…” A soft yet sleepy murmuration reached her ears, causing her to shiver at the resonance.“You’re still here?” She asked in disbelief, turning her head but it brushed her lips on his cheeks.“Hmm.” Humming, he wrapped his one hand around her waist and the other under her head to trap her in his arms.“It’s your fault, I don’t want to leave you now.” He whined, biting her earlobe, holding her rigidly.“You can stay-” She was about to speak but he hushed her, not wanting to talk about something which could ruin their mood in the morning.“Shh, just stay longer.” He murmured, holding her closely.“At least open

That night when Zadicus and Persephone confessed their undying love and intensity of emotions, one more soul was left heartbroken. When Kriss was left with nothing but misery, standing where Zadicus told him about the aching reality, he was unable to move.“Kriss?” Juniper called him softly, coming closer and touching his back, shaking him a little to break his daze.“Huh?” Blinking, he turned his face to hers but the screen of tears was crystal-clear.“Let’s go back to the hotel. You are drunk.” Juniper whispered, holding his arm and pulling him back, helping him to stand and gather all his pain and stack it.“I don’t want to.” He whispered back, pulling his hand away from her, he no longer held strength to confront anyone or anything at the moment.“Remaining here will give you nothing.” She replied, hoping to knock some senses into his disruptive mind but to no avail. He was barely in his senses and after the confrontation with Zadicus, he knew his position now. He knew he had no

The next day, Kriss woke up with a throbbing pain in his mind but it cannot neglect the ache on his chest. He wanted to eradicate the memory from last night entirely from his mind but to no avail. The imprints left on his scars shall serve as a scar as long as his feelings for Persephone shall remain.“Argh… Dammit.” Cursing under his breath, he ran his hand in his hair, recalling how unknowing he shared what he never did with Juniper. He didn’t know when their perspective collided and be considered as one to be expressing the incredulity they were impotent to share before.Kriss realized he hadn’t said those things as his status of a Prince not with a commoner but a local gang leader from another country who could use it against him.“What have I done?” Sighing deeply, he decided to pretend nothing happened and keep his posture. He freshened up and walked out with his usual dominant posture and found the least person he wanted to see at the moment there.Juniper.“Oh, His Highness f

After the brief yet profound scar Kriss received, countless questions reached his mind, worried Zadicus might not call it the end of their friendship and choosing Persephone. He was tensed that he was not trying to show off Persephone not knowing he met Persephone for his sake, only to convince her and move out of the way.But Persephone treasures what she and Zadicus share, it’s her deepest chattel, Zadicus is her life and no power of love could steal it from her.Gritting his teeth, he was about to walk furiously but Juniper’s voice came from behind, “Making this face won’t help you, Kriss.”Halting his steps, he glanced and saw her learning on the pillar, smirking at his vulnerability but she was not trying to emit a single shred of compassion.Judging enough, she knows that Kriss had been keeping these feelings inside him for a long time and there was no use in providing soothing.“Must be excruciating, isn’t it?” She sneered but it only augmented his ache. She didn’t want to ease

She had tears of felicity in her eyes which she wiped quickly and grinned at him, “Kriss?” Kriss returned a kind smile, taking a step towards her, standing before as his eyes contemplated her form, she looked like a princess who was about to end her fairytale. “You look angelic.” Kriss whispered sincerely, stopping at her eyes, felicitous for both Persephone and Zadicus. “Thank you.” She mumbled sheepishly, not used to fancy dresses and gowns but for her special day, she wore the most beautiful floor length lace gown, embroidered heavily. “Zadicus is dying to see you. He is so lucky to have the one he loves. No
