Lianna sits in the back of the minibus next to another woman. She cannot remember if she was at the house yesterday, but she introduced herself as Henry’s wife. Gina smiles at her when she catches Lianna staring at her. Lianna smiles back.This has been an experience since the moment she arrived. She wonders where Bianca is. William opens the door to his room and quietly walks in. Lianna lies on the bed, wrapped in blankets. She is sprawled out on the bed, fast asleep. William sits down on the edge of the bed. She has her earphones in and he can hear the music playing. He shifts closer to her and places his hand on her leg. He shakes her softly.“Lianna, wake up.” She lifts her head from the pillow and looks at him. She yawns without covering her mouth.“Ugh, hi. Lianna emerges from the bathroom with her oversized shirt and pants. William takes his laptop and finds a comfortable position.“It is the ugliest dress I’ve ever seen. The audacity of that woman. First, she steals that dress she has on from you and in exchange gives you this? I cannot believe it.” Lianna stops in her tracks and furrows her brows. Before she can ask him how he found out, he answers her.“B informed me about what happened. She said that you probably wouldn’t have told me about it,” William says with a small smile. Lianna turns her head to him. She opens her mouth to speak, but William interrupts her. “I get it. I’m just glad you were still here when I got here. I thought you might have left. The dress thing . . . I don’t even know what to say about that. Are you okay, though?” Lianna nods her head while making her way over to the bedside to her phone.“I’m fine. And it is my fault. An alarm wakes Lianna from her light sleep. She groans and turns around, falling off again. At least this is the last time she has to sleep on this cursed sofa. Her couch at home is much more comfortable.“Did you fall off?” William asks with his morning voice. Lianna laughs lightly and nods her head. Her head falls back on the ground as she stares at the ceiling.William gets out of bed and walks over to her.
