“Damn this bitch,” I cursed as I kept slamming blows into her face.
“Jesus,” Josie exclaimed in horror as she saw the mess Lisa was in. "Madam Creed, enough!" Josie yelled, urging me to stop. "If you continue like that, you’ll kill her for real," she added.
I sighed, raising my head. "Did you just yell at me? I mean, you literally just gave me an order?" I questioned, feeling irritated by her interference. "Seriously? What nerves."
Josie hesitated, "My apologies, Madam, but if I didn’t intervene... that last hit would probably kill her," she explained.
I looked down at Lisa's face; although she was still breathing, her face was messed up. "Fine, I'll let it pass for today, but the next time you speak to me like that... I'll murder you. I'll decapitate your head from your body, and no one will know," I spat out, watching her squirm with horror. "Good, I love the expression on your face. Keep that one, and you might live to see another day, bitch," I said spitefully and stormed upstairs.
Mary ran up to Lisa, scolding her. "I always say your mouth will get you in trouble. Look at how messed up your face is," she scolded, attempting to help her up. "You’re too rude for your own sake."
"That’s enough, Mary. Take her inside while I get the doctor," Josie instructed.
"Sure, if she is still alive, that is," Mary replied sarcastically as she dragged Lisa upstairs. "Next time, you’ll mind your business," she added.
"Shit!" I cursed repeatedly, staring at my angry reflection in the mirror. "And here I thought... I was over this IED bullshit," I muttered.
Coming back here was a big mistake; I can already visulaize the headlins when the world finds out about my weakness.
(Mira was a young woman with emotions too heavy for her. She found herself admitted to a mental institution due to IED (Intermittent Explosive Disorder), a rage unlike any other, which sometimes caused her to do the unimaginable.
She had fled home in search of a solution, and at the time, it seemed impossible until she met her current friends, who had experienced similar predicaments. After spending time with them, she got better; she was supposed to get better)
Sighing, "Just a day as a married woman, and I’m already losing it. I can’t go back to that," I whispered, lying down on my bed. After a while, there was a knock on my door.
"Yes?" I called out.
"Mrs. Creed, it’s me, Josie," the voice said.
"What do you want?" I questioned rudely.
"Well, nothing, it’s just that the doctor would like to speak with you," she informed me.
Confused, "Doctor? I don’t remember ever sending for one," I said with a puzzled voice.
"Oh, I did. We had no choice... Lisa's condition was sort of bad, and I called him here," she explained.
I stood up from the bed and walked silently to the door, opening it. I stared down at her. "Yeah, Yeah... Why was I needed again?" I asked absentmindedly.
"The doctor requested to speak with the Boss, and since he is away on a business trip, I thought..." she replied.
"You thought?" I cut her off. "You’re always thinking, Josie," I slammed her. "You should have handled it yourself," I said and walked ahead of her.
"Ma!" she called out and ran after me. "I’m not the wife of Lucian Creed; you are, and whenever he is not around, you’re to oversee the decisions in the mansion as his wife," she explained.
"Oh Right! Lucky me," I spat out and paused, turning to her. "Where is he?"
"Down this way," she pointed down the hall.
"Well, then lead the way," I replied with a forced smile.
"Of course," she voiced and started walking down the hall, and I followed suit.
Just to tell you how big this fucking place was; we took six turns to get to the maid’s quarters.
It was like a house inside a house. Each room had two separate accommodations, which is to say, two people in a room. "Not a bad place for a maid," I said aloud.
"Thank you," Josie replied, thinking it was a compliment.
"It wasn't a compliment," I responded to her reply.
"Well, I’m sure they were," she added, smiling.
"Are you not...?" I started then halted when the other maid came out from a room, right in front of us.
"Oh, you’re here," Mary said, giving her greetings to me.
Sighing without responding, I pushed past her into the room. Instead of noticing Lisa sitting on the bed or the doctor treating her, I was more interested in the arrangements and decorations of the room, or at least, I pretended to be.
"Wow, what a nice room," I exclaimed as I walked further into it, past the doctor and Lisa, to the window.
As I stood there, pretending to admire the view, I could feel the stares and glares from everyone present.
"Perfect," I thought. For the doctor to have been allowed to venture into this part of the mansion, he must be someone important to Lucian. Don't get me wrong; I'm not someone without feelings. I'm not a monster. Sure, I can be a murderous bitch, but only when I’m in IED mode.
"My parents promised, as soon as they get their hands on the Dolman’s property, they will get me out of this shit hole. But for some reason, nothing is being done, worse, they are not even picking up my calls," even though I try to deny it, I have a feeling that they tricked me again.
Although I still don’t know how true that is, I’m going to find out.
Lisa mentioned that many women had visited this place, and obviously, I won’t be the last, which was great because right now I would love nothing more than to disappear from here. I have a life waiting for me out there, beyond these walls. I cannot continue shouldering my parents' irresponsibility.
Since my parents have abandoned me... well, it felt like they did, I have to get myself out, and even if I have to act like a demon from hell to be free of this godforsaken marriage, so be it.
"Mrs. Creed, the doctor is over there," Josie informed me as if I didn’t know that.
Turning with a forced smile, "Oh, yeah! Thanks for telling me," I said to her and walked over to the doctor. "You wanted to speak with me?" I asked, without bothering to introduce myself.
"Ah, good day, madam," he greeted, standing up with an outstretched hand, one I didn’t bother to take. "My name is Abel Thomas but you can call me jake. I’m a doctor of the Creed family and also a psychiatrist, ," he introduced himself.
"Huh! A psychiatrist?" I mocked. "Has Lucian finally lost it or something?" I asked, with a certain hope. Funny I was asking that, even when I knew that the only lunatic in the family was me.
"Pardon! What do you mean?" The doctor asked, shocked.
"Oh, nothing out of the ordinary. For the Creed to have a psychiatrist as a doctor, I just thought maybe Lucian has... You know, gone amok," I said with a smile. "Although it wouldn’t be a surprising thing if that were to be the case since he tends to act like someone with a loose screw," I finished.
Doctor Abel and the maid just stared at me for quite some time before he laughed. "You’re the new wife, right? You’re a funny one," he said, wiping a single tear from his eyes.
"Oh really? I’m glad I amused you," I replied with a sarcastic tone.
"Hahaha, when Mrs. Josie told me Lucian was married, I wondered who it was," he said, taking his hand back. "Being with all sorts of women with high class and celebrities, if I may add, it's a shock he would end up with someone like you. Besides, being a psychiatrist is a secondary hobby; I’m a certified doctor, and I’ve always been by Lucian’s side, and I can tell you that he is not crazy or ill," he smiled and walked closer to me. "Recently, I seemed to have acquired the ability to point out the crazy people in the crowd, and I might know a few," he added, staring at me.
I knew what he was implying, but I wasn’t scared. If it meant freedom, by all means, see me for who I am. "Wow, what a twisted asshole," I murmured aloud with a serious tone.
"Ahaha, asshole, yes, but twisted? Come on, Ma! I’m an angel," he replied to me with a flattering smile.
"Hmmm, sorry to interrupt, but someone is actually dying here. Don’t you think you should pay more attention to me?" Lisa snapped at the doctor.
"Oh right, sorry," he beamed at her.
Sighing and irritated at the same time, "So Doctor, I was wondering if you know of any drugs that can render someone voiceless?" I asked with a serious expression.
"Incapable of speaking?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes," I replied.
"Hmmm, no, not exactly, but I do know of a surgical process," he informed. "Why, what is the interest?" he questioned with curiosity.
"Nothing," I turned to Lisa, "I just thought a wordless face would look good on her," I said, pointing at Lisa.
"W… what?" Lisa shrieked in fear.
"Huh! You’re joking, right?" the doctor questioned.
I turned to him, "You tell me. I mean, you're the psychiatrist!" I replied. Without waiting for a reply, "So why did you want to meet me again?" I inquired.
"Ah, hmm," he shook his head as if to get rid of something or an unpleasant image, "Well," he turned to Lisa, "Her injuries are not that serious, but she will need to rest for a few days," he informed me. "I wanted to let you know that, just in case," he added.
I stared at Lisa sitting on the bed; I could tell she was trying to avoid my eyes. "Is that so?"
"Yes, anyway, I also wanted to ask if you have any idea what happened to her?"
I raised an eyebrow at him, "And I’m expected to know that because...?"
"You’re Mrs. Creed, Lucian Creed’s wife, and the one in charge of the mansion on behalf of your husband. You should know everything that goes on here," he demanded.
What an asshole.
"And if I don’t want to, what will you do about it?" I questioned with a pissed look.
"You look angry," he said instead of answering my question. "My apologies if I offended you, but even though she is a maid, she is still a human being and needs proper care to heal fast," he spoke like a true doctor.
"Of course, she does... Even rats need care," I replied to his comment, and turned to Josie. "Please make sure she gets all the rest she needs, Josie. I have far more better things to do than to waste it on a maid who clearly does not know her place," I slammed and turned to Lisa, glaring at her. "The next time, you’ll feel like dying, like you’re tired of living in this world, come look for me," I slammed her and walked out of the room, leaving the doctor and the maids behind.
“Please, tell me she had nothing to do with this?” Jake asked as he turned to Josie. But she sighed loudly and replied to him, “I wish I could say that,” Frozen in place, Jake pointed at Lisa, who was now in a deep sleep due to the drugs he administered to her. “Well…?” he probed. "Well, it has-""Blame it on the wide mouth," Mary said, cutting Josie off. “Mary…” Josie called, trying to stop the maid from making further accusations. “What? That’s the truth, and you know it,” She accused. "This is not the first time Lisa stood up against one of Mr. Creed’s guests. She is always doing it, especially when it comes to the females. She is disrespectful and always abuses them with her words. She got it coming. That woman is no pushover like the others. After running her mouth like that, it’s a surprise she is still alive," Mary continued, scolding the sleeping Lisa, annoyed at the whole thing. “Mary, don’t talk like that,” Josie scolded her. "Even if you are correct, that's no way to
As Lucian Creed set foot inside the sprawling mansion, an overpowering urge compelled him to seek out his so-called wife, Mira Dolman. He couldn't help but be drawn to her, even though the very thought of their marriage seemed absurd. Upon entering her room, he was met with a surprising revelation. Mira mentioned 'her man,' and though he had no romantic feelings for this seemingly unhinged woman, a twinge of jealousy ignited within him. How dare she hold someone else in her heart while being bound to him in matrimony? He wanted to dismiss the emotion, to pretend it didn't matter, but the mere idea gnawed at him relentlessly. His conflicting emotions churned inside him. On one hand, there was frustration and irritation at Mira's audacity to entertain thoughts of another man while married to him. He felt a surge of anger, "Why would you even entertain the thought?" he retorted with an angry expression, though a glimmer of compassion shimmered in his eyes. He desperately wanted to unde
After all, I've been through, after everything I've done for them, how could they betray me like this? I stared at her number, "Did my mother know about the deed?" I repeated, my bloodshot eyes fixed on him.He stood there with his hand tucked neatly inside his pocket, wearing a calm expression, while his secretary trembled in fear. "Does it matter if she knows?" he responded with a question."Hahahaha, you're right. It doesn't matter," I said bitterly. "It would make no sense if a daughter she hadn't seen in four years suddenly returned and got married without her consent." I stared at the number again, my body shaking with anger. "It never mattered. Again and again, I had to go through hell for their sake. I watched my life flash before my very eyes from the day I knew how to speak, all because I had parents who valued their bank account more than their child's safety." The urge to destroy the entire house washed over me again. I gritted my teeth and clutched my fist with the phone
Not until Ken walked out of the room did he breathe out in relief. He raised his head to the President and asked, trying to match Lucian's long stride, "What are we going to do?""About what?" Lucian asked, not slowing down."Mira, sir," he replied.Lucian halted and turned to him, "What do you mean? Is there a problem? Is there a problem with her?" he asked, feigning ignorance."But sir, just now... that rage, the blood... the threat to her parents, what if she...are we supposed to leave her like that?”"Ken, my boy," he called, suddenly grabbing his shoulder, "I don't need to interfere in a family's feud. I did my part to help out," he explained with an evil grin, "Then again, if she can help me put an end to the Dolman, who am I to complain," he added and resumed his walk."You're going to use her against her father?" Ken asked, that very idea is too devilish to be called a devil. Smirking, Lucian glanced at him with a cold gaze, "I don't know what you're talking about," he lied an
I marched to the west wing suite and halted for a second before a big door, looking from left to right. "This seems to be the only door in this region," I murmured, "What a show-off," I cursed and knocked, but there was no response. Seriously? As much as I would love to push the door open, I need to be careful since I'll be asking something from him. "Husband, a word, please...," I began calling out, but before I could finish, I touched the handle, and the door opened. "It wasn't locked? Well, I'm coming in," I yelled in the corridor. When I entered the room, I was astonished by how big it was for a room. Without stalling too much, I looked around for the relaxing hulk of a man. "Lucian, Lucian, where are you here?" I called, and waited for a while, but no answer came forth. I started walking up the "Wait! There is a staircase inside the room?" I questioned, shocked as I stared at the curvy stairway. Well, it was more like a step to another room, but it was still long. "Twenty steps,
Lucian didn’t know what to say as he kept staring at Mira Dolman. He remembers clearly when Nicolas told him about the ‘no intimacy’ clause he included in the contract. Although he never wanted to have any sort of physical relationship with his daughter, THE Thought of taking orders from the Dolman pissed him off so much, he had to ask him why. When Nicholas didn't say anything, He then suggested if his daughter was a virgin, but he said, ‘Of course not, but if you want to be intimate with her, you need to pay for it.’ The bastard was not just selling his daughter's future, but her body as well.He was so disgusted with him that he rejected that part of the deal, but to actually think she WAS a virgin? "That son of a bitch." He cursed under his breath and stood up from the bed, glancing at her frozen state. No wonder she was lacking in her kisses. "Well, you can't blame me. After all, it was you who came into my room, wearing almost nothing, so of course... Even if I don't have any
I fled home to free myself of the Dolman’s misfortune and find a solution to my predicament. But returning to a place I once called home after four years, only to discover that I’m being sold, worse, my parents tricked me into believing this to be a temporary contract, one that they could - Would bring me out from, but it was all a lie; they betrayed me yet again. As if that was not enough, now I have to live with a maid who reminds me so much of the woman I want to strangle to death. Isn’t that crazy? It’s making me crazy. I just hope nothing happens before I escape this shithole; it would be bad if innocent people get to suffer for something they know nothing about. As much as I hate to admit it, I’m starting to feel strange. It’s like something unpleasant is trying to take over, just like four years ago; God! I pray I get out of here before I turn into the very thing I hate the most.***Lucian groaned as he signed the last file on his desk. The meeting with the Cell’s Enterprise
While the two men ate in silence, Ken returned to his desk, which was not far from Lucian's, as he was his personal secretary. However, Jake wasn't ready to let the matter rest. He wanted to know more about Lucian's new wife's issue, knowing Lucian's stubbornness when it came to discussing it."So, you were saying something about IED?" Jake probed, determined to uncover the truth.Lucian sighed, not wanting to delve into the topic. "Forget about that," he replied dismissively."If it's something that requires attention, we need to talk about it," the doctor persisted. "IED is not a joke, especially if the person has no control over it. You and everyone around them could get hurt.""I know how serious it is, Jake, but it's none of your business, nor mine, is it?" Lucian asked, his gaze cold and unwavering. The doctor quickly raised his hands in surrender. "Relax, I don't mean to pry. But as long as she is your wife and now lives with you, it should be your business. You should have see
