As I woke up that morning, the bright rays of sunlight hit my face, almost blinding me. I couldn’t even tell if I had actually slept or if I had just been lying there all night, thinking. Everything felt restless, like my mind never really shut down.
“Oh, my God… what am I going to do? My life is ruined,” I whispered to myself, turning on the bed again, feeling frustrated and uneasy.
The more I thought about it, the worse it got.
How was I even going to explain this?
To my boss… who was also my lover.
To the few friends I had just managed to connect with after all these years.
“I can’t believe this,” I muttered, running a hand through my hair. “First time coming back home in four years… and I end up married?”
The thought alone made me irritated.
But then something crossed my mind. “Maybe… if I talk to him, he might let me leave London,” I said out loud, trying to convince myself.
At this point, I was just saying anything to feel better.
There was no point in keeping everything inside. I needed to face this somehow.
After freshening up, I picked out a comfortable pair of pants and a simple top from the closet and stepped out of my room.
Immediately after I stepped out, one of the maids greeted me.
“Good morning, madam.”
I turned and saw Josie, the head of the maids.
“Good morning, Josie… and please, you don’t have to call me madam,” I said.
She hesitated.
“I wish I could, but you’re the boss’s wife, so…”
“So what?” I stopped and turned to face her properly. “I don’t feel like a madam, so just call me Mira.”
“Okay… but what about the others?” she asked.
“What about them?” I replied, continuing to walk.
“What should they call you?”
I paused for a second, thinking.
Then Lisa’s annoying face flashed through my mind.
A small smile crept onto my lips.
“They can call me madam.”
Josie blinked a little.
“Okay… Mira.”
I smiled and continued walking toward Lucian’s room.
Just as I was about to knock, Josie spoke again.
“Are you looking for Mr. Creed?”
I turned slowly, already annoyed.
“No… I’m looking for his dead father,” I replied sarcastically. “Of course I’m looking for him. What else would I be doing here?”
“Sorry… but the boss isn’t around. He left for a business trip.”
I froze.
“What?”
“Since last night,” she said.
“What the hell?” I snapped, turning fully to her. “Why wasn’t I told? Who goes on a business trip right after getting married?”
Josie hesitated.
I clenched my jaw.
“That son of a bitch,” I muttered and stormed downstairs.
Josie called after me, but I didn’t stop. I was too annoyed to even listen.
“So he can just leave like that,” I complained angrily, “and I’m the one stuck here?”
Mary appeared behind Josie, looking confused.
“What’s going on?” she asked.
“Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed,” Lisa said with a smirk.
I stopped walking.
Slowly, I turned to her.
“Don’t even try me today,” I said sharply. “You won’t like yourself after.”
“Watch your mouth, Lisa,” Josie warned.
The rest of them followed behind me as I entered the sitting room.
The place was empty.
I frowned, not just because of the silence but because everything was already irritating me.
I turned back to them.
“Is there any reason all of you are following me like this?”
They exchanged looks.
“I thought you wanted us to,” Josie said.
“Why would I want that?” I snapped.
“Because you’re the boss’s wife,” she replied with a small smile.
I let out a tired sigh.
“You make it sound like that’s a good reason,” I muttered.
Dropping onto the sofa, I leaned back heavily.
“I’m sure there are women out there who would love the attention… but I’m not one of them. And I definitely don’t need people following me around everywhere.”
“Damn that jerk,” I added under my breath.
Mary stepped forward.
“Should we get you something to eat?” she asked gently.
“No, but thanks,” I replied. “If I’m hungry, I know where the kitchen is.”
With that, I picked up my phone.
Josie quietly led the others away.
Lisa, however, still looked confused.
“What’s wrong with her?” she asked. “This is the first time I’ve seen someone get married and be this angry.”
“I’m wondering the same thing,” Mary said.
Josie sighed.
“Don’t even ask me. I don’t have the strength for anything right now.”

As I scrolled through my phone, I saw messages everywhere.
Friends.
My boss.
My chest tightened.
How was I supposed to explain this?
“Hey boss… can we pause the promotion? I just got married…” I muttered, then stopped. “Ah! What am I even saying?”
This wedding was a complete mess.
And to worsen it, it wasn’t even a real marriage.
The more I thought about it, the more frustrated I became.
Before I knew it, I stood up and started throwing things around the sitting room.
First, a chair went flying.
Then a pillow.
Anything I could grab.
“This is so annoying!” I shouted. The room echoed with my voice.
“What are you doing?” Lisa suddenly asked, walking in.
I turned to her.
“What does it look like? ” I snapped. “I’m angry, and I need to let it out.”
A small voice in my head told me to calm down… but I couldn’t.
I wanted to break something or someone. Everything was just too much.
She sighed and fixed one of the chairs. “You do realize you’re making more work for us, right?”
I laughed dryly.
“Oh great. I wondered what purpose your presence served.” I retorted and continued thrashing the whole place.
“That’s enough,” she said, grabbing my hand.
I slapped it away.
“Ever since I heard about this marriage, I’ve been holding everything in,” I said. “Now I’m done.”
She smirked.
“Bring it on bitch. I can’t wait to wipe that smirk off your face.” Lisa spat out. “You rich bitches always get on my nerves.”
That was it.
I stepped forward.
“The first mistake you made,” I said calmly, “was thinking I’m like those people... you’ve met.”
Before she could react, I grabbed her and threw her to the ground.
She gasped.
I hit her.
Once.
Twice.
“You are a maid, a servant. Know your place.” Another slap, then punches.
“Next time you see me angry,” I said, hitting her repeatedly, “run the other way.”
She screamed for help.
I could hear footsteps.
Voices.
But I didn’t stop.
Everything I was feeling just poured out.

“What the—” Ken stared at the screen in shock. The house was a mess.
Know he understood why having cameras installed in the mansion was a good idea.
Meanwhile, Lucian didn’t even look up.
“Are the cameras working?” he asked calmly.
Startled, Ken was momentarily frozen.
“What?”
Only then did Lucian lift his head. “I asked if there were issues with the cameras.”
Frantically hiding the tablet behind his back. “Oh… I haven’t checked yet,” Ken replied with a lie.
“No?” Lucian asked with a raised brow.
“No, sir.”
Lucian leaned back on the sofa, disregarding his work shortly.
He knew that was a lie, and Ken lying meant something had gone wrong.
“Then why is the tablet behind your back instead of my desk?” he asked quietly.
Ken’s heart dropped.
Shit.
************************************NON-CONTRACTED"My heart... I can't take it. I'm crying right now," Nora whispered, her eyes misty with tears, as she watched Mira and Lucian share their vows."What would it take for her to find happiness such as this?" she murmured to herself, her gaze drifting to the man sitting beside her. In that moment, as if he sensed her shift of attention, Noah met Nora's gaze. Their eyes locked for a split second, a silent understanding passing between them.Suddenly, a bouquet fell into Nora's hands, and she gasped, shocked and stunned. Her eyes widened as she peeled her gaze away from Noah and looked at the flowers in her hands. "What is this?" she asked, her voice filled with surprise, staring at Mira, who beamed knowingly at her."It looks like it's going to be your turn soon," the man beside her said, his voice calm and casual.Nora turned almost immediately to him, her heart racing with a mix of emotions. But his focus was already on the newlywed co
A day before the wedding in New York, When the steady chattering of the presentation in the meeting felt like a relentless hammering inside Lucian's head, he knew it was time to escape back to his woman. Collecting his leather briefcase, he made his way toward the exit. However, Ken stopped him before he was halfway there. “You're not leaving,” he declared loudly enough to be heard over the incessant chatter. “You said I had to stay until the end,” he reminded Lucian. Lucian's patience was wearing thin. He sighed, his annoyance clear. “I take it back,” he replied, wanting nothing more than to be with the love of his life. Ken couldn't help but grin mischievously. “Feeling a little too full for this sort of thing?” he teased. Ken's expression turned knowing, his intuition telling him that becoming a father had indeed changed everything about Lucian. And he was right. “You can head back home now,” Lucian told him firmly. “I need to see my wife.” “Your soon-to-be wife, you mean?”
I didn’t know whether to be happy or sad. What did he mean by he was'scared?’ Of what? Me …“What do you mean?” I'd ask him“Do you know how scared I was every time I watched you torn by the emotions of your families? I sometimes wished I could kill them all.” He spat out, “I heard from Leo just how close you were with your father before he betrayed you and watching him get killed; such emotion could put you on edge again, and when your mother’s illness came up... I just couldn’t pour all that on you.” He shook his head, “It’s already bad that you are unstable and pregnant. I didn’t want anything to shake you. That’s why I treated her in secret. My plan was when she regained herself, I’ll bring her to you… But I didn’t know it would get out of hand." he said with his head between his legs, “I’m sorry for yelling at your like that,” he added. “The look of hatred and anger I saw in your eyes earlier was just too much.”I never expected to hear him come clean. Taking a deep breath, she s
Six months later ~~~~~~Lucian woke up restless after a bad night’s sleep. He couldn’t stop thinking about Mrs. Dolman’s situation and how he was going to break the news to Mira without her flipping out. Glancing at the time, he realized it was past noon, and Mira was already up.He sighed deeply. Since she made up with her sister and uncle, she has been spending a lot of time with them. While he was genuinely happy for her, he couldn’t deny the fact that he missed her presence terribly.“Why are they still here?” he questioned aloud, his frustration evident in his tone. He stood up, feeling a growing sense of regret for ever allowing them to stay behind. The situation was taking a toll on his relationship with Mira, and he was finding it increasingly difficult to go around that.***I sighed, lost in my thoughts, absentmindedly rubbing my round belly. I do look like a pregnant woman now. I wished my mother was he
When Lucan arrived home, he was met by Leo and Lora, who were sitting and waiting for him,The moment Leo saw him, he stood up. "Ah, good morning, Mr Creed, Were you not at home?" he asked.Lucian lifted his head above the many bags on the ground. "No... Good morning," he replied with a forced smile. "Are you going somewhere?" he asked.Leo smiled. "Yeah, well, I thought it was best to leave now...""Before we get chased out," Lora interjected, ignoring Leo’s glaring gaze."Please ignore that," Leo quickly said, with a nervous smile. “Oh, I did," Lucian replied, unfazed by the situation."Great," Leo said, smiling nervously. The man's presence was a little too overwhelming for him. "Anyway, we came for the party, and now that it's over, it’s best we leave. But I wanted to at least say my goodbyes first." He said with a smile, but Lucian wasn’t returning it. "I would have loved to speak with Mira, but... We'll just call once we’re gone," he added, his tone slightly apologetic.Lucian
The moment Lucian stepped into the station, he was obstructed by one of the corrupted officers, a bald man who pretended not to know him,"Can I help you, sir?" The bald officer asked rudely, his tone laced with false politeness."Hmm. This is my boss, Lucian Creed," Ken replied instead, his voice firm. "I told you about him.""No, you didn't," the officer replied defiantly, a blatant lie hanging in the air."Huh!" Ken stared at him, his confusion evident. "I remember telling you about him, and even the papers I gave...""Sorry, man! I don't remember you mentioning anything like that," the officer lied again, his eyes avoiding direct contact."How---""That's enough," Lucian sighed, masking his frustration with a forced smile aimed at the officer. "I'd like to speak with the commander-in-chief," he requested calmly, even though he had the clearance to enter without such formalities."Is that right?" another officer interjected, appearing out of nowhere. "Do you have an appointment?" h
